Stayed in two spots over 4 nights in the past two weeks. First two nights we got a lake front walk-in at 3:30 on a July Friday, but it was the last one. Site was amazing and not very buggy. Second stay we weren't lucky enough to get lake front but had a lake view that really showcased the colors of Lake Cresent. We got rain on the second stay but the tree canopy blocked most of it. Will definitely stay at this campground next opportunity I get!

This is a lovely location, though it is frequently rainy. Like 90" of rain a year. We stayed there for most of a week at the end of August and it was our rainiest camping trip ever. Lovely wooded campground, moderate privacy. Beautiful views in the area.

We were nervous about a first-come campground, but took a chance. We were traveling late July, arriving on a Monday (which we hoped would better our chances of getting a good spot). We had an decent drive, and arrived around noon. At that time, there were lots of spots to choose from, including a few overlooking the lake, and a couple that were immediately on the lake (but a bit of a walk)! The prime spots filled within an hour of our arrival, but by evening there were still many spots to choose from for the late arrivals.

It was a magical campsite, and the lake is beautiful. My favorite thing was getting up to watch the sunrise over the hills. Bathrooms were very clean. I highly recommend this campground!

This place fills up fast on holiday weekends. If you're able to have a flexible schedule I'd recommend getting there early. Other than the walk-in sites, the C-loop is closest to the lake. But A and B loops are just as nice (with A-loop being the furthest from the lake). It's a fantastic, well-maintained campground and served as the perfect base camp for all of my Olympic National Park endeavors.

This campground is my favorite I've ever camped at. There is a set of campsites that are walk in only, and are located RIGHT on the lake's shore. Can't wait to come back and snag one of those coveted spots!
