A little haven of warmth and relaxation.
We are on 86 acres of unceded Abenaki land that offers beautiful pines (and Larch trees) two green houses and a 40 chicken coop! Our goal is to transform our landscape into retreat spaces to allow our guests to slow down, practice self-care and connect with nature. Our first site is a little slice of heaven - the only brook access on the property is yours to explore! We often catch small trout and bathe in the cool water. The sauna was the first of many and handmade with local cedar. Please enjoy the reprieve from the outside world. (There is little cell service!) This wonderful campsite will turn your Spruce Mountain day-hike into a relaxing overnight stay. After soaking up the 360 views from the peak, return to a private campsite just 2 miles down the road. It includes an 8x12 tent platform, outhouse, picnic table, 500ft of private riverfront, and your own personal sauna! Your body will thank you after doing 3 rounds of hot/cold therapy between the sauna and the frigid Great Brook. Whatever brings you to our area (hiking, mountain biking, disc golf, fishing, etc..), this campsite is the perfect place to make it a relaxing overnight! More info below. Food/Beverage —Fox Market and Bar: One stop shop for hot food, local groceries, and beer/cocktails. —Plainfield Coop: local grocer, craft beer —Positive Pie: takeout food  —Plainfield Hardware: deli food, tarps/flashlights/gloves/etc.. Activities in the area: —Spruce Mountain hike in the L R Jones State Forest (5 min drive) 4.3 mile loop. 1158 elevation gain. Firetower at the peak. 360 views —Other Hiking: Montpelier & Wells River rail trail (15min drive) Camels Hump via Monroe Trail (56min drive), Mount Mansfield (67min drive), Mount Pisgah / Lake Willoughby (71min drive), Groton state forest. —Mountain Biking: Millstone Trails (16 min drive), North Branch River park (25min drive), Perry Hill (40min drive), Kingdom Trails (58min drive)  —Winooski River: fishing, kayaking, floating (ask us for spots) —Disc Golf at the Barre Town Forest. Tent site w/ Sauna + Brook Access
The platform for the tent was great and the sauna was amazing. Even better was the sound of the brook. Perfect white noise!

Tent site w/ Sauna + Brook Access
Lovely spot in a gorgeous area of Vermont! The road on the way is a bit bumpy, so be sure your shocks are in good repair and take it slow. :) The sauna is a dry, wood stove and has a lovely view of the brook if you want to open the door when it gets too hot. The brook is the perfect white noise while you just stare at the gorgeous scenery around you. Close to a small town with an AMAZING pizzeria, Positive Pie. You feel like you're away from it all without being too far from creature comforts. It's a dream!

Tent site w/ Sauna + Brook Access
My girlfriend and I had a good stay here overall it was easy to get to the camp site with the directions. Two things were the traffic on the road was very heavy / noisy. also there was no door or curtain to the outhouse but which left it quite wet. But overall it was a good site.

Perfect, secluded spot
This was a great spot. Plenty of privacy, close to lots of outdoor adventures, and only a few minutes drive to town for gas, pizza, etc. Highly recommended!
