Our five acre nature garden is set in rural Lincolnshire.
We have lived here for 48 years.
It is a 'retired' agricultural small holding which we have made into a nature reserve over 35 years encouraging a variety of wildlife...birds, bees and butterflies are everywhere in this haven.
Buzzards fly over our garden and foxes are regular visitors. Sometimes the Roe deer come here across the fields.
2000 native trees and shrubs have been planted from 1984 and many are now mature making shady woodland areas. There is a 3 acre wild meadow with mature trees, mown tracks and larger mown areas for relaxing. Camouflage tent hides are put around the garden for bird watching.
This is a garden for nature lovers and those looking for a quiet place to stay on an adult-only campsite 'in the wild'. We have one grass pitch for your tents.
Pitch 1 - is the 'Holly' pitch named after our granddaughter, situated in the heart of the wild garden and surrounded by native trees and shrubs. It is non-electric, has a standpipe with mains water and a private toilet tent with Thetford portaloo and hand basin serviced by us. A shower tent with hot water shower is available on request, £10 per stay. Gas bbq grill for hire £8.
The pitch has a table and chairs and a sun parasol. Gas fired bbq grills are permitted if raised off the ground. No open fires and charcoal at present due to farm crops nearby. No-smoking please. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be on leads.
Anne, the owner lives on site. Car parking is on the gravel drive near the house.
