This campsite is located on 5 acres close to Samford Village with power and water available. Enjoy beautiful mountain and water views from the site and lovely evenings around the firepit campfire (pending local fire restrictions). There is also a second more sheltered site in the valley. (only one site at a time for booking) This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/ shower. There are rubbish facilities if required. You will need a 15A-10A power adaptor or 15A powerleads. You will require some leveling.  There is a laundromat located in the village.  Samford is 22km northwest of Brisbane. The Samford Valley is mountainous with the South Pine River flowing through. There is an extensive hiking, walking, bike and horse riding trail network. Access trail network directly from the property.  Tennis court, campfires permitted, tank water, power available.  There are resident horses, geese and chickens and our very friendly labradors will make themselves known to you. Pets may be allowed on negotiation (please be aware that the property is not completely dog secure, ours are contained by a hidden fence system).

      Mountain View Retreat
      Second time here and will be back again. By far the nicest place to stop for Brisbane - short drive to the city but worlds away. Samford is a beautiful place with many cafes, to which Jo’s place is close. Add grassy paddocks, rolling hills and a campfire in a fire pit and you get the ideal place to stay and relax. Jo is incredibly welcoming and friendly. We just love it here.

      Wonderful Spot!
      We really enjoyed our stay at Joanne’s and would definitely stay again! Such a great part of Brisbane and for us so close to everything we need. A lovely peaceful setting that has been perfectly leveled up to save you time.

      Peaceful nature stay in Samford
      Mountain View Retreat is ideally located for exploring the Samford Valley. Quiet, spacious and private, backing onto a walking trail, with dogs and farm animals that are friendly and engaging, Mountain View Retreat is minutes from Samford Village, and about 20 minutes drive from Mount Glorious and Mount Nebo, with many other nature spots for hiking, walking, birding or kayaking nearby. Joanne is a great host, very helpful when we arrived and any time during our stay, and the site was perfect for us and our van. Picturesque, with views of the lush bush, great place to watch the local birds and have an outdoor fire with firewood conveniently available to purchase on site. I’d stay again, for sure - it was relaxing and a real break. Our first Hipcamp experience, and we are now spoiled.

      What a beautiful peaceful property
      What a beautiful place to stay. Greeted by friendly dogs, and a lamb coming to say hello, and chooks and geese. Jo was very helpful and welcoming. We would absolutely stay here again

      Beautiful property close to Samford village and Brisbane. Electricity and water were included and Jo was super helpful setting everything up. Couple of Labradors made sure we were safe 🙂 great spot l would recommend and stay again. Thanks Jo!
