Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Once covered in old growth fir, this family farmland has raised potatoes, raspberries, nursery stock and housed 4 generations who absolutely love living the country life. Because neighboring farmers kept the land in near original condition, my wife and I enjoy the same panoramic splendor today that Pops had in the 1960's when he built this house. Folks who visit our campsite cannot believe they are less than an hour from 2.5 million people. Get out and get away for a little campfire therapy under the stars. Refresh your mind, body and spirit with clean air, a secluded setting and the peaceful view of prime Oregon farmland stretching toward the rugged foothills of the Cascade Range. Learn more about this land: Surrounded by trees with seasonal creek this quiet private campsite offers a spectacular unobstructed Mt. Hood view.  Relax in your RV and watch the sunrise over Mount Hood or enjoy a crisp clear morning walk along the creek side trail. Sleep under the stars with the sounds of crickets and the distant coyote.  Wake to the site of quail, heron or hawk and the occasional deer. This is a rare find away from everybody yet close to everything!  Minutes to Mount Hood Recreation Area, Columbia River Gorge, Multnomah Falls, Barton Park, Dodge Park, Clackamas River Basin, Golf Courses, Bike and HikingTrails, Outlet Stores and Joe's Donuts.

Kind host and quiet setting
We loved our stay at Robert's place. The setting is quiet, private, and peaceful. The gravel on the road, signage to identify each site, and fully leveled parking spots made it very easy for us despite arriving after dark. Robert went above and beyond to help us get settled in, loaning us a power cord we'd forgotten and helping get our water tank filled. We needed a break from city life and our evening here was just the ticket.

Quail Sunrise
Little farm getaway spot!
Off the beaten path and we loved it. Space is easy to access and hook ups were easy. Rained so we only got one morning with a view of Mt. Hood. Great place to dock with our pups. Robert was quick to greet us with a late arrival in the dark. Only room for improvement would be to turn off motion sensor light after 10pm as it kept going on/off all night, and if you have a large rig (ours is 28’ plus a Tundra) make sure the parking area is clear for guests to pull out of space at check out. There was a blue truck parked there and we had to get creative as to not drive on the leach field. Would highly recommend especially if you like quiet with benefit of full hook ups!

Quail Sunrise
Peaceful
We enjoyed our quick stop over at Robert's place. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The area is magnificent with the fall splendor. We will be keeping this spot on our list for future stays as we travel to the Portland area again. Highly recommended!

Quail Sunrise
Robert has a nice camping set up on his property. Beautiful view of Mt Hood. The area is very nice. Quail Sunrise is a bit difficult to back into with your 42foot 5th wheel pulling with our long bed truck because you have to avoid running over the septic bed. But with some time and maneuvering we squeezed in! Thanks for having us, Rob!

Peaceful Quail Sunrise
I would stay here again! Very well kept property, and electric hook up worked great! Water also provided. Road and RV pads are packed gravel for easy travel and parking. Quail Sunrise site#1 was removed from road noise with windows closed in winter, and the view across the fields was beautiful! Cloudy and rainy so no view of Mt Hood this time. A short road on site provided for a walk and fresh morning air. Robert was a conscientious and gracious host. I appreciated his effort to welcome me to “Down on the Farm”. Directions provided were perfect! Easy access to roads towards Portland, and a gas station about 5 minutes away. Between Sandy and Boring, OR.
