We absolutely loved staying at this little oasis! It was well-kept and secluded while being right next to the water and a stone's throw from town. Jane was an total treasure and we can't wait to come back for another trip as soon as we can!

Jane’s site was stunning. We stayed in site 1, which was only about 100 meters from the harbor and included a wooden pavilion with a camp potty and hose to shower. It was easily accessible from the spot for our car, but far enough to feel separate. There were blueberries growing nearby and honey bees (a safe and enjoyable distance). The view was stunning. Jane also went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable. She helped us decide how to handle weather, and she was there to greet us and help us feel safe and comfortable. Honestly, I wan completely amazed by how helpful and accommodating she was. I highly recommend this site!

First of all, there was a note about roaches by the previous camper. I had no problem with tree roaches who are part of this area; only saw 2. I stayed in The Tea House, with wonderful afternoon breezes. I felt like I was camping in paradise. This is a kayaker’s dream. Beautiful sunrises in the morning, and Island jumping until the early afternoon. Even if you are not a kayaker, this is a great space to rejuvenate and close Wilmington when you want less solitude. Jane, the host, is awesome! She and her husband owns this property, and she will do everything to make your stay absolutely spectacular. I stayed here for 8 glorious nights and will return!!

This private spot is a piece of heaven hosted by an angel. Jane helped us launch our paddle boards and even took a video for us. Special touches such as fresh flowers, lavender and books about the area made us feel welcomed. A really unique place with spirit.

Jane was a wonderful host. She was so kind, hospital and generous. I liked being able to access the water so easily! The Tea house was cool!

**One big warning for anyone who is afraid of roaches: There are a lot at night!

We stayed at site 1 which has some woods with vine ground-cover on one side of the tea house. At night there were a lot of roaches. More than I've ever seen in one place before. I usually go camping in colder weather and any beach camping in the warmer months has not been in wooded areas. All this to say I was not thinking clearly or prepared for so many roaches. I am deathly afraid of them and they were of significant size. If you're like me or have kids who are very afraid of big roaches I would suggest being extra sure to be tucked comfortably in your tent before sundown. Unfortunately, I ended up having to use the bathroom around 9pm (hadn't stopped drinking water early enough) and there were so many that I ended up getting really upset (because of my very intense fear). They were running at me, up on the ceiling area, on the curtain where the toilet is... The next night I slept in the car but my mom still stayed in her cot tent. Unfortunately one of them got into her tent (not a small one) but she was able to just kill it and not be so terrified.

I say all this not to discourage anyone from coming. WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. I just want people to be able to prepare appropriately so they have the best experience if unfamiliar with the area.

Overall it was a great location, nicely mown lawn and lovely host. The bath experience was difficult with a hose extension on sandy ground with two young girls. We also felt like the value wasn't worth it for us, since we have two young kids who we had to pay extra for.
