Lovely spot and really nicely set up! I was just stopping on a road trip and was not expecting this kind of luxury: composting toilet, lights strung up, firewood all set up and ready to go. I'm sad I didn't have more time to take advantage of it all. The yurt was a touch damp so I ended up just setting up my tent and had a really nice night. The site is under some acorn trees so I did get bonked a couple times but it was fun listening to them fall around me in my tent. Saw some deer loping through the adjacent field the next morning and enjoyed breakfast and coffee looking out at the pond. (Of course my dog decided to take a quick dip right before we headed out 😂) Will definitely be back again!

Welcoming hosts and a beautiful spot for camping. The campsite has a yurt, string lights, and a campfire ring over looking a pond. Mary and her husband were very kind and let our kids pet and brush their goats in the morning. One thing to note: there is some highway noise and neighbors across the pond so it’s not the most remote site, but very enjoyable for a night of family camping.

Lovely stay!
Lovely stay!!! Mary was so quick to respond and accommodating for our camping trip. The site was mowed down for us, the fire pit already had wood, and it came equipped with atmospheric lights! We loved watching the fireflies from the comfy seating provided. I would definitely recommend. :)

Great hideaway!
A great little hideaway 30min from Raleigh. Electric hookups across the property which was a nice surprise.
This is a new rental so I’m Excited to see what they do
With it. The cute cows and chickens greeted us as we arrived.
