Description

A cozy cabin for four overlooking the beautiful Montana landscape from 8,425-feet elevation? Yes please! The Garnet Mountain Lookout Cabin was once a fire lookout but is now your key to a memorable getaway in any season. Accessible on foot, horse, or off-road vehicle by a 3.5-mile, uphill trail (in the winter add another 7 miles on skis or snowmobile) means you’ll likely have the area to yourself. Once there, fire up the wood stove, cook dinner with the provided cookware, and then kick back on the balcony to watch the sunset, stargaze, and try to spot some iconic wildlife.

The view is amazing!! If you can find someone with a four wheeler getting gear up there is a plus. Cross country skiing this mountain in winter is quite a trek but with so much quiet beauty.
