10 private acres completely wooded and only 15 minutes northwest of the Mackinac Bridge.  Far out enough to escape from civilization, yet close enough to drive into St Ignace for a retirement job with Shepler's Ferry to Mackinac Island.  (Someday...)  For now, it's a great place to park the RV and explore all that is the eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan! Learn more about this land: 10 private acres of Upper Peninsula heaven!  Pitch your tent or back your RV into this cedar and pine woods conveniently located for eastern UP activities.  Close to hiking, biking, boating, fishing, swimming, two-tracking, trail riding, St Ignace, Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, Hiawatha National Forest, Cut River Bridge, Lake Brevort, and the North Country Trail. 15 min north of the Mackinac Bridge. 15 min to St Ignace and ferries to Mackinac Island. 1 mile from the Brevort Lake public access beach and boat launch. 15 min from US-2 and Lake Michigan sandy beaches.  Fully wooded yet on a paved road.  Bring your own toilet, firewood, food, and water.  No utilities here.  Two miles straight down county road to ATV trail along M-123. In case it’s not obvious elsewhere in the listing, CHECK-IN 3pm. CHECK-OUT 11AM ***This site is not a commercial campground***

      Great spot!
      Great secluded and well hidden wee spot in amongst the trees, great to keep cool/avoid the heat in summer. David was a great host and super helpful.

      10 Acre Mackinac Base Camp
      Campgrounds in the area were all booked and we just wanted a place to park our camper and come back to at the end of the day of exploring Mackinac Island etc. Dave's land worked out great! It is wooded and level. It accomadated our 20 foot trailer well.

      The site was just what we wanted for our tent camping family of four. The 'outhouse' was waaaay nicer than what we had in mind. That was super nice. Everything was nice! ...and like others have said, be prepared for the mosquitoes.

      10 Acre Mackinac Base Camp
      This site was a great find for us needing a last minute place to stay on a spontaneous roadtrip- this site was clean, private, stocked with firewood and had convenient composting toilet that was very well kept. We only had one small tent and car- but there would have been plenty of space for more than that. Easy drive into St. Ignace for breakfast, 20 minutes or so out from the bridge to Mackinac City- nice stop!
