This property was part of the historic town of Warren, which was founded in the early 1800s. Warren was a thriving factory town, claiming nearly 1,000 residents at its height. In the early 1900's the town was flooded in order to make the Loch Raven Reservoir to expand Baltimore City's drinking water. Because the property sits up on a hill, the farm house is one of the few remaining homes from the historic town of Warren. The property is just a couple minute hike away from the reservoir where miles of trails lead you along the water's edge and up into the cool woods. John and Gail, the owners of McGucken Mountain Farm, have invested more than 30 years in beautifying the once weedy hillside, transforming it into a tranquil wooded retreat for them and their family. The property has long been a gathering place for family/friend get-togethers. They are now excited to be sharing this place with you in hopes that you too will make some wonderful memories here.

Awesome place

Wonderful site to stay at. Well kept even in the off season. I was in and out so I didn’t see the owners much, but they seem like really nice people.

Loved the little terrace

I loved the little terrace in front of the little house, where the toilet is at and a few things to use like chairs etc. John and Gail were lovely hosts and made sure I had everything I needed.

Lovely spot. John and Gail are exceptional, welcoming hosts! Their property is gorgeous and camping on it is quite easy (rudimentary bathroom in the springhouse, electricity, fire pit, table and chairs). The spot is close to a road with medium to low traffic
