Set on glorious parkland in the middle of the South Downs National Park, Lordington Park really is a wonderful countryside escape. A 15 minutes’ drive from Chichester, our rustic camping field has views over rolling countryside. Spectacular sunsets and sunrises can be expected on cloudless days. Escape the hustle and bustle of every day life in our peaceful rural campsite, with spacious grass pitches big enough for you to have lots of private space. Each pitch has a firepit for barbecues, and there is access to composting toilets, a shower block with warm water, and fresh drinking water. Please note there is no electricity on this simple site. Vehicles are not allowed to park on the camping field, but parking is provided a stone’s throw away. Wheelbarrows are provided to help you get your kit from car to tent. Countryside walks and cycle paths lead directly from your pitch. There are several pubs in the local area – the nearest being 10 minutes’ stroll away. We have a tea room on site, open Thursday - Sunday 10am-3pm. Near by local attractions: Goodwood Weald and downland museum West wittering beach Hayling island Portsmouth historic dockyard Chichester festival theatre Arundel castle Cowdray park Various national trust property’s And many more…Lordington Park Camping is set in a spacious field with wonderful views overlooking the South Downs. There is access to a communal shower block with hot water and composting toilets. There is also a sink area with hot water for washing up and drinking water. Guests will be able to walk directly from the campsite to our tearoom which is a few minutes walk without having to walk on the road. We also sell logs, kindling and firelighters on site.

Absolutely wonderful site with amazing facilities. We were hugely fortunate (by way of an administrative error) to have the opportunity to stay this weekend completely solo on the site and it was amazing. I honestly can't recommend enough visiting. Listening to the Owl at night and walking up to the Folly and on to nearby Stansted Hall, truly amazing. Huge thanks to Josie and Charlie for allowing us to stay when you should have been closed!

Camping Trip

Great site lots of space so our party was sufficiently far apart from others to enjoy such a quiet spot. Fire pit was an excellent touch. Toilets and showers were excellent and we even ventured to the tea room!

Great campsite with lovely views! The hot shower and handy washing up station were a plus!l Josie and Charlie the host were extremely helpful and attended to our and needs almost instantaneously. Highly recommend!

Relaxing, lovely and friendly

Lovely campsite and lovely owners! Had a nice fire and a great nights sleep. Would definitely return as it’s a beautiful area and close to Chichester which has lots going on. Thanks Josie!

What a lovely campsite! It’s beautiful and perfect balance of quiet and atmospheric! Good options of pitches, some a bit close together but just choose wisely and it’s fine! Josie was lovely and easy to reach if needed (such as for logs which was so useful)! Would definitely come back :)

The tent space was perfect, as were the facilities. The site is fairly easy to find and lots of parking. The host was easy to contact and the location is really peaceful
