A hideaway in name and nature, Tan-y-Capel Hideaway lies on a secluded three acre spot in the tiny hamlet of Ceidio. For any couples seeking a romantic retreat in one of the country’s most stunning settings, this is the place. Comprising just two hi-spec glamping units – a modern pod and a beautiful shepherd's hut – situated in a tranquil garden, glampers here enjoy a slice of Wales to themselves. Each cosy abode features a proper double bed, an en-suite bathroom and a neat little kitchenette featuring most mod-cons. For a particularly indulgent escape, both the pod and shepherds hut also have their own private hot tub set within their garden, both with views across countryside, mountains and out to sea. Thanks to the Llŷn Peninsula’s curious micro-climate – making it one of Wales’ sunniest regions – you’ll certainly get your money’s worth out on the shingle terrace.

There’s an abundance of things to see and do in the vicinity. The Llŷn’s stretch of the 870-mile Wales Coast Path is amongst the most stunning and is eminently accessible from the site. Be sure to make it to picturesque Porthdinllaen beach, home to the famous Ty Coch Inn, a legendary beachside boozer that regularly features amongst the world’s best in the travel polls. A pint and a paddle on a hot summer’s day – what more could you ask for?

Our Hideaway 10' x 20' pod can comfortably accommodate 2/3 people. The pod is made from cedar to a high specification and is situated within its own private garden area with your own private decking. We have ensured the pod is wonderfully comfortable with a double bed and a single futon with cotton fresh bedding, soft pillows, throws and cushions. There is a fully fitted modern toilet and shower room with luxury toiletries and soft fluffy towels. The pod also has a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and also cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils etc. There is also a television. The pod has double doors that open out onto a generous decked area with your own private hot tub that overlooks stunning countryside and distant sea views. When you get out of the hot tub wrap yourself up with a fluffy robe and slippers which are available for you to use inside the pod along with throws, fleeces to wrap up and keen warm with. You also have full use of the barbecue and a initial welcome pack is provided which includes tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk. We have many small beaches and beautiful coves some only accessible via the great coastal path that extends around the whole peninsula making Tan-y-Capel hideaway a great base for walkers of all levels and cyclist. There are some excellent golf courses in the area including Nefyn mounted on top of craggy coastline overlooking the sea.

The stunning Shepherd's Hut sits alone in its own 1/4 acre flower meadow offering peace and tranquility. Inside it  has a drop-down double bed with a wonderfully comfy memory foam mattress. All white cotton bedding pillows cushions and throws etc are included.The hut is self-contained with large en suite shower room and toilet with instant hot water luxury toiletries soft fluffy towels, bathrobes and slippers all providedThe hut also has a dining/sitting area and kitchenette with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery, crockery for additional cooking there is a bbq (gas included) outside within its own garden area. We had the most wonderful time at Tan-y-Capel Hideaway. It is stunning in every single way. The views are never ending! Rebecca and Dave were such welcoming hosts, going above and beyond to make us welcome and give us all the local information so we could make the most of our time there. A trip to the Ty Coch Inn is a must, set on a National Trust beach. I will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend a trip

Could not fault this property! Beautiful location. Hosts were wonderful - Dave's recommendations and knowledge of the area were fantastic to hear about. Clean accommodation. The little welcome touches were a lovely little treat as well.

This is my second visit to Tan-y-Capel and it did not disappoint. The location is amazing with beautiful views and the hosts have amazing accommodation with the most friendly pets. Rebecca and Dave gave us all the information needed for the stay including instructions for any appliances and recommendations for local sites. I would definitely recommend a visit!

We had a brilliant time at the Hideaway. Rebecca and Dave were really welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a lovely welcome pack at the pod, which included prosecco and homemade biscuits! The pod itself was modern, and we were comfortable there. The addition of having the hot tub was a bonus, which we enjoyed. Views from the pod were fabulous, and we loved waking up to the serenity of it all. We would highly recommend, this lovely Glamping spot. Anne and Gary. X

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming camping pod hosted by Rebecca and Dave, and it was an unforgettable experience. The camping pod was immaculate, with every detail meticulously cared for, providing a cozy and comfortable retreat in the heart of nature. The surroundings were truly awesome, offering a serene and picturesque setting that made our stay even more special. Rebecca and Dave were fantastic hosts, especially with my little girl. They were incredibly patient and kind, taking the time to show her around and make her feel welcome. Their hospitality extended beyond just the accommodations—they were always happy to help with anything we needed, ensuring that our stay was as smooth and enjoyable as possible. I can't recommend Rebecca and Dave enough for anyone looking for a delightful camping experience.

Excellent glamping pod in a beautiful area. Rebecca was extremely welcoming and the pod was wonderfully stocked with all the necessities, as well as home made biscuits and a bottle of prosecco. We'll definitely be visiting again, hopefully soon!

This was our second stay at Tan-y-Capel and me & my partner enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Rebecca and Dave are superb hosts, very welcoming and friendly. The hideaway pod is the perfect little home to enjoy quality time and the added bonus of prosecco and cookies are a lovely gesture. We will most definitely be visiting again.

Had a lovely stay in the Shepherds Hut. Very clean, warm, private and a great hot tub. Rebecca and Dave were very welcoming and keep a lovely place. Would recommend.

Absolutely loved our time at the Hideaway, so much in fact we stayed an extra night! Rebecca and Dave were so welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, recommending restaurants, walks and taxi etc. The pod had everything you could need - evening a bottle of fizz and homemade cookies on arrival - what more do you need! The views are spectacular and you’re really spoilt by the gorgeous landscape that the Lynn Peninsula has to offer. To top it off there’s goats, ponies and dogs that’s love a good stroke! We were in heaven. We absolutely loved our stay here and we will certainly be returning in the future. Thank you Rebecca and Dave for a wonderful break away.

We stayed at Rebeccas and Daves hideaway pod to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. Liaised with Rebecca and Dave pre arrival and was great in providing all relevant information. Upon arrival we was surprised with balloons and banners and a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate my girlfriend, Ellies birthday which was a lovely and thoughtful surprise. We was given a map and Dave explained and shown locations he recommended around the area, further recommending a taxi company to get in touch with. Rebecca and Dave took there time to show us the facilities they had to offer and there uses for example how to use the hot tub and the barbecue and the facilities in the pod. We were made to feel very welcome and the pod was beautiful. So well equipped we definitely overpacked and was overwhelmed by everything inside shampoo bottles and condition, body washes, towels, robes, blankets, a hot water bottle, milk, games, books, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and all other furnishings (too many too list) we was also welcomed with baked cookies which were delicious and a flower on the side. Every little detail has been considered in terms of the pod and it was perfect. A lovely couple and we also enjoyed the company of Rebecca and Daves little black cat haha. Thank you for the best time. We’ve only been home a week and we miss it already, waking up inside the cosy pod to the most beautiful views. Will definitely return. Thank you so much. We are forever grateful for your hospitalities.

A fantastic experience. Travelled here with my 2 young boys who had a brilliant time. Dave and Rebecca were amazing hosts. Friendly, knowledgeable about the area which is useful and just really welcoming. We had homemade baked cookies waiting for us along with a bottle of procescco. The cabin itself is brilliant. Has everything you need plus a hot tub. It's big enough for a small family and plenty to keep the children entertained. It would also be absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway. Great location between Nefyn and Abersoch, both beautiful places with breathtaking beaches. We will definitely return. We had a wonderful time.

Shepherds Hut
We enjoyed our stay at the Shepherd Hut very much. It was set in its’ own secluded peaceful meadow. On arriving we were met by the lovely owners Rebecca and Dave. Who showed us to the Hut ensuring we knew where everything was, and that we were happy. The inside of the hut was very clean and tidy ,with all the facilities we needed. If you want to stay somewhere that was quiet ,and you were in you own space, then we would recommend it. With the added bonus that you were staying in the middle of the beautiful Welsh countryside ,with the coastline only 10 miles away.

I don't really want to review this and have anyone else to find out about this hidden gem or I won't get booked in again !! This place is a little piece of heaven away from real life - it is so peaceful, a real place to recharge your batteries. The Pod is fantastic - has absolutely everything you might need, Rebecca & Dave have thought of everything, and they are super friendly and helpful too. The views are just beautiful - and there is loads to do not very far away. Fantastic - just loved it - thank you !

Myself & 2 friends had an amazing time staying at Rebecca & David’s Hideaway Pod. The pod was clean, modern and spacious, loved the extra touches homemade cookies, Prosecco, tea, coffee, milk & lots more. The views were absolutely stunning, especially watching the sunset in the evenings, it was so peaceful. Rebecca & David couldn’t do enough for us and were perfect hosts. Will definitely be recommending and hopefully returning in the future!

We loved our stay at the hideaway pod. The area is so peaceful and the view is beautiful, the hot tub was in the perfect spot to take in the views. Rebecca & Dave we’re fantastic hosts. Dave gave us lots of information about the area, the best places to visit and best pubs to try. On our arrival there were freshly baked cookies from Rebecca - these were incredible. What a gorgeous little hide away pod ,peaceful,private ,views are amazing .Rebecca & Dave are lovely people & nothing is too much for them when accomodating you!we received a bottle of bubbly ,fresh cookies ,hot drinks & fresh milk on our arrival .They have thought of every little thing you would need whilst staying in the pod There is a hot tub with dressing gown & slippers for when you get out The stars of a night are amazing & the pod had fleecy blankets &;water bottles for you to take outside should it be a cold night .We are looking forward to coming back again soon were we will be trying the Shepard's hut 😁.The dogs are friendly too they come to the fence to great you & all they like in return is a stroke (we gave them a sneaky sausage).

Shepherds Hut
We stayed at the shepherds hut and had the most amazing time for my birthday. The location is just perfect, so peaceful and private and with a hot tub which was great watching the sunset and stars and made you feel so relaxed. The hut was super clean, with a really comfy double bed and had everything you need. The hosts were so lovely and kind with little touches such as a bottle of Prosecco and freshly baked cookies on arrival. We’ve had the most perfect weekend and will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend to anyone! Thank you again for a wonderful stay :)

Tan-y-Capel Hideaway is located on the gorgeous Llyn peninsula an area recognised for its outstanding natural beauty combining fabulous sandy beaches with dramatic hills and mountains. We have 2 units, our beautiful shepherds hut, set in its own flower meadow and our cosy pod with its own deck and private garden both enjoy spectacular views over rolling countryside and out to sea. The hideaway pod and hut both have wonderfully comfortable beds with cotton fresh bedding, throws, cushions and pillows. There is a shower room with luxury toiletries and soft fluffy towels both have self contained kitchenettes with bbq outside for additional cooking. The hideaway pod and hut both have double doors that open out onto either a generous private decked area or garden where their hot tub sits, just such a wonderful addition to our already stunning pod and hut, so whatever the weather or outside temperature you can sit amongst warm relaxing bubbles with a glass of prosecco admiring the stunning view and watching the simply fabulous sunsets and at night time gazing up at a night sky that contains more stars than you can ever imagine. Once finished in the hot tub there are fluffy towelling robes and slippers along with throws and fleeces to keep you cosy and warm. There is a welcome pack on your arrival that includes tea coffee milk and sugar.We are keen to welcome are guests and ensure our guests have a wonderful stay so any questions or information re things to do and places to visit of which there are plenty please don't hesitate come and have a chat.
Nearby attractions

The Llŷn Peninsula is one of Wales’ most captivating coastal regions. Explore its many stunning beaches like Porth Nefyn (2 miles away) or Porthdinllaen (3 miles) home to one of the world’s best beach bars. For surfing (of the board, kite and wind variety) Porth Neigwl is excellent or you could spend a day at chic Abersoch, the sailing capital of Wales. There are several more hidden spots along the coast that are only accessible via the Wales Coast Path – just ask your hosts for the best walking or cycling routes. Further afield, Caernarfon and Criccieth are well worth a visit, not least for their castles and stunning views (the former’s overlooking Anglesey). The extraordinary Italianate village of Portmeirion (as seen on 60s cult classic TV series The Prisoner) is another essential stop. And with golf is your thing, Nefyn & District Golf Club (01758 720966) is less than 10 mins drive away.

Food and drink

Pwllheli and its environs boasts plenty of pub and places to eat. Y Bryncynan (01758 720879) is less than 2 miles away at Morfa Nefyn. They serve real ales and wholesome pub grub from breakfast through to evening meals. The Ship Inn (01758 720559) at Edern serves exquisite dishes such as Welsh beef wellington and pan fried hake. Be sure to book ahead for Sunday lunch. The Cliffs Inn (01758 720356), also at Morfa Nefyn, is a great spot for lunch with a spacious sun terrace overlooking the sea. But for views, the pick of the pubs has to be Ty Coch Inn (01758 720498). Regularly voted one of the world’s best beach bars, the beer garden here is the golden sands of Porthdinllaen beach. Other worthy dining options include The potted Lobster (01758 431432) and Tremfam Hall (01758 740169) which both come highly recommended by your hosts.
