Gwersyllfa Glyndŵr Campsite is a small, peaceful, family run and adult only site for walkers and cyclists. Located within walking distance of the historical market town of Machynlleth, we're a great base for exploring all that rural Mid West Wales has to offer. We're on the Glyndŵr National Walking Trail and the Wales Coast Path. There are many cycling trails of all levels nearby - from the Lon Las and Dyfi Bike Park to Ystwyth and Elan Trails. A short bus ride from us are the Snowdonia National Park, Cader Idris and beautiful beaches of Cardigan Bay. Our guests love the outdoors but like a little relaxation at the end of a day's activities, so we offer a some home comforts in the communal camping facilities barn which has a kitchenette with fridge, kettle, microwave and washing up area as well as an indoor seating area on the mezzanine level. Hot showers and toilets are available in the wet rooms also situated in the barn. You can unwind under the stars in the communal campfire area next to the camping field. There's an outdoor sink on the camping field for cleaning muddy gear and a place to clean your bike if needed. The nearby town offers independent shops, an art gallery and historical buildings. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, grocery shops and a petrol station where you can top up on supplies. You'll get the best of both worlds at this secluded campsite which overlooks the Dyfi Valley's stunning scenery whilst being within stone's throw of local amenities.

Elizabeth's campsite was such a great find. It is in a beautiful, tranquil setting with lush, flat grass pitches. The washroom and kitchen facilities are excellent, very clean and plenty of hot water. If we come to the Machynlleth Music and Art festival again next year we will definitely use this site again. Please be aware that the single track up to the farm campsite is uphill, narrow quite windy and not well signposted, probably best navigated first time in daylight, however the drive up is well worth it.

We loved camping at Elizabeth's site. It was located in a quiet and remote location, and the campsite was not busy. There is loads of land to wonder around, and the views are beautiful. The view of the stars at night was spectacular. Toilets, showers and facilities were very clean. There was also access to a kettle, fridge and microwave if needed. Thank you for a wonderful two night stay - I would have loved to have been able to stay longer!

A perfectly positioned site with a lovely view and surrounded by nature and animals/birds. Great facilities- nice hot shower and the barn is great for cooking and washing up. I would highly recommend this place for a quiet and relaxing camping trip. Nice communications ahead of our stay. Thank you.

Beautiful little campsite in a tucked away location. They've done great work to create a small and very clean facilities area. The path up the hill (part of the Glyndwr way) is a great walk, with views of Machynlleth and surrounds, perfect for an evening stroll to watch the sun go down (weather permitting). Loved staying here.

Great care is given to make sure people can make the most of their stay. Great showers, a relaxing sitting area if the weather was bad, a kettle and microwave as well as a car free flat field with amazing views. Elizabeth welcomed us and helped us feel the welsh history beneath our feet!

Beautiful view from the lovely green pitch. The barn is converted to a kitchen, toilets and showers, and sitting areas. Such a great idea for walkers and cyclists! Note that it’s a steep climb from Mach so bring your own food and save a bit of energy for the uphill. Kind owners who have gone the extra mile to make sure their guests are comfortable. And a barn with electric outlet for e-bikes. Superb spot.

I loved this site. It was a great base for walking, with easy access to Machynlleth for trains and buses also. Spotless, well equipped, peaceful and beautifully kept. I needed some kit urgently and Elizabeth was kind enough to accept the delivery for me, which saved my trip when the rain came in.

Gwersyllfa Glyndwr campsite is a perfectly gorgeous little campsite. It's set above Machynlleth off a narrow country lane (just off the Owen Glyndwr long distance trail). The site is very peaceful and has wonderful open views. The barn has great facilities with two super wet room bathrooms, lovely hot powerful showers! There is also a well equipped kitchen area which even has basic crockery and cutlery and a fridge. There's also a mezzanine room with sofas providing shelter should it be wet. A communal fire pit too. We absolutely loved this idyllic campsite.

Just what I needed after 5 days walking the Glyndŵr Way. A bit of a pricey option for a lone walker, but well worth it for the lovely, modern facilities including a lounge with futons and a green energy powered bathroom option. The camping field was well kept, level and the surroundings made for a very peaceful evening's rest. The others on the site were there for outdoor pursuits (not partying) and the ambience was delightful. The owners were friendly and approachable, but very non-intrusive leaving campers to get on with their thing. I particularly enjoyed the use of the family washing line to hang my clothes up to dry.

The facilities were the best we have experienced in all our time camping over the last few years. They were modern and clean and the added extras such as a kettle made a big difference for us. Great views and bicycle friendly. Thank you

Nice flat field so good for pitching. Quiet and an indoor sitting area (and a couple of sockets for charging a phone - rare!). Had a bit of trouble finding it as there is no sign of the farm name of campsite - and it's up a very steep hill if on foot or bike. Friendly and pleasant feel to the place

Quiet, remote location (the birdsong at dawn is extraordinary) yet very close to Machynlleth. Warm welcome from Liz and Nick. Great facilities in the converted outbuilding, including a small loft area to sit back and relax. Nice view from the camping field across a valley. In short - a real find.
