As we fled from Hurricane Erin, this mountain retreat was the perfect escape. The owners were incredibly responsive, and we had no trouble checking in. The house itself was spotless and had everything we needed—all we had to bring were our personal items and food. Tucked away on a secluded mountaintop, it was a fantastic spot to continue our summer vacation. The house even had basic supplies for the kids, which was a huge bonus.

The location is perfectly in the woods. The tent itself is large, with furniture inside. Good mattress. Sheets and towels included. They have strung lights everywhere, very pretty. The wildlfower s on site H were excellent. The bathhouse new and clean. Camp kitchen is a bonus as welll

Spent 4 nights camping with my three younger daughters. The camping sites are clean although a bit on the small side if you’re going to pitch more than one medium size tent.
2 Clean unisex bathrooms both with 2 stalls and a shower in each, have to admit I was glad the place was not to busy as I never had to wait to shower.
Full kitchen was a nice touch, I was able to heat up dinner one night with ease rather than in the campsite and clean up was a breeze with the big sink.
Thanks for a great stay !!

The cottage is super cozy, clean, and welcoming! There is a fire pit and grill (charcoal BBQ) available on site. I enjoyed sitting out in the porch and cooking with my portable stove top. The induction works well, but it’s a 2 burner with limited capacity, so plan accordingly. Our hosts were gracious and the entire setting was picturesque and quiet. Would stay again!

Wisteria Campsite (I)
This campsite was amazing!!! Despite having bad weather, we still had so much fun and enjoyed walking around the grounds, playing games from the game shed, and hanging out with the cat! The cat was so sweet, followed us around everywhere, and even hung out by the fire with us. The bathroom was the nicest campground bathroom I’ve seen and the kitchen was amazing! I can’t wait to come back!

Spy Rock Cabin
The cabin and location were exactly what we were looking for. Very peaceful, nice hiking nearby, and many things within a short drive. We loved the time we spent there and will be visiting again for sure!

The atmosphere in the cabin was very good. our disappointed was we we looking for a cabin that either had a hot tub or a jetted tub. The cabins with hot tubs were taking but we saw in the description of high meadows cabin that it had a jetted tub that had windows that looked out back into the woods. When we arrived we realized it was not a jetted tub rather it was just an oversized tub. We reach out and first they said the button was next to the faucet and once we said the only thing next to the faucet was the cold and hot they then said oh some have jetted tubs and some have just over sized tubs. This was a must for us and the false advertising was upsetting therefore I would probably not return or refer them out as being honest and truthful is a must. We would have booked somewhere else if it was listed as just an over size tub.

This was the perfect little cabin for a 2 night getaway, but I could totally spend 1 week there! Fully stocked kitchen, very clean, everything you need!! Hosts texted us to make she we arrived safely and had everything we needed!! Great service, highly recommend!!

Our cabin was very cozy and had all the amenities of home. It was also very cleanly which I am usually a big stickler about but had no qualms with this Hipcamp. Just be sure to stop for groceries on the way as the best option once you arrive is a Walmart quite a distance away.

We enjoyed our experience at this camp ground, the only small down side was that the sites felt very closer together and not very private. From the map it seemed like we would have lots of space to park and instead it was a little cramped. Overall we enjoyed the views and time in nature. The camp host was also very helpful even with last minute requests.

Our tent site was plenty big for our 4 person tent, 10x10 pop up, and plenty of rooms for chairs around the fire. There were 2 bathrooms a short walk down the hill and were very clean, each with 2 toilet stalls and a shower. Both bathrooms were gender neutral but I think since there are showers then maybe they should be assigned men’s and women’s, but you are able to lock from the inside if that makes you uncomfortable (not sure what the etiquette is, but we never had any issues). The shared kitchen was well stocked and bailed us out with some utensils we forgot to bring, and with coffee when we couldn’t get our fire going in the morning. We had a great experience and will be returning.

The campground itself was lovely. Very nice bathhouse & kitchen amenities, beautiful views & fantastic location. However, we were unable to enjoy our stay due to issues with bear management. While cooking on site, a large black bear tried to enter our camp multiple times despite attempts to scare it off. We are experienced backpackers in bear country, kept a clean camp & took all bear precautions. Yet, it seemed that previous campers may not have since the bear knew the site well & refused to leave. Even after disposing of all our food in the proper trash shed & all scented items locked in the vehicle, the bear kept trying to enter camp. We had to tear down camp in the middle of the night and slept in the car for safety reasons. Knowing that just before hibernation a socialized bear such as this can be bold and dangerous to campers. I hope the facility will take this seriously and improve the situation for the safety of its future patrons and the bear.

I stayed here while visiting the area for Overland Expo on my motorcycle. The tent site was mostly level and very peaceful. It was a little small for my 4 person tent. The bath house was very clean and close by to the tent sites. My only issue was the loose gravel and steep hills getting to the tent sites. I was able to get the bike to the site when I arrived, but chose to park by the bath house which was safer than trying to get it up the hill.
This place is located right off of Blue Ridge Parkway.

This land was absolutely exceptional! Honestly, everything about my stay, the host, and the place was exceptional! Communication was spot on before and throughout my stay. The communal bathrooms reserved for the tent campers was really clean, insulated, and very nice inside. The ammenitites offered at this site were amazing and they had everything you could possibly need. The campsite itself was very well maintained and clean. I would highly recomment this place to anyone I knew that was interested and I will be staying here again

Nice cabin for a large group with pups. The kitchen came stocked with more than we imagined (an immersion blender!) and the hot tub and fire circle were lovely perks. Perfect spot to star gaze. Thank you!

My husband, pups, and I enjoyed a long weekend at Love Ridge and absolutely loved it! The campsites were spacious and clear of debris, the gravel/rocks made it so you didn't have to deal with wet feet from the morning dew. The property was fun to explore and the bathrooms were amazing - it was obvious that the staff was constantly making sure they were clean and stocked. So quiet and peaceful. We got there later than intended our first night and it was still easy to find our campsite in the dark. Only regret is never getting back to camp in time to use the cornhole boards. Highly recommend; we will definitely be back in the future!

My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Climbing Rock Campsite (A) at Love Ridge. The site was just enough space for our set up (tent, tarp, and a car tarp) and it was just a small walk away from the camp house.
The camp house was so much nicer than expected - the bathroom stalls and shower were nice and clean and the kitchen had just about everything you'd need - even though we just cooked on our fire pit with our own supplies. They also have a shed with fire wood which came in handy cause the dead fall/ground wood was soaked by storms our first day/night.
There are only a couple of things I'd change:
1. The climbing rock campsite pics are a little deceiving. The pics make it look like the site overlooks an actual ridge or clearing, but just past the climbing rock is a small dirt lot just below. Not a big deal, but transparency goes a long way.
2. The camp site is gravel which is great to prevent living in a mud pit for a weekend if it rains, but there seemed to be some hard surfaces only a few inches under the gravel at some points which made it harder to perfectly stake out tents and tarps. Didn't stop us from staking things out, just a little annoying.
Overall between how nice the site was, the cleanliness of the camp house, how helpful the onsite staff was, and the location of the camp grounds, we loved our stay and can't wait to come back.

Hanging Rock Cabin
We had a really wonderful stay at the Hanging Rock cabin. The cabins are new, clean, well-furnished, and supplied with everything you're likely to need. We had three small kids with us and the cabin was an absolute hit - more like a little house, really. Great location just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and close to other sites, like Sherando Lake. The other cabins looked at least as good. I'd definitely recommend a stay at Love Ridge and would stay again if I'm ever in the area.
