**Summer Season 2024/25** Due to an over demand we require weekend stays during the Summer months November to March to be a minimum two night stay. Guests are required to check in on Fridays, with Friday and Saturday nights as the two night minimum. Weekends during this period need to be booked by contacting hosts who will open the sites on the calendar on request to allow the booking to be done online. Those guests requiring a longer stay that overlap a weekend can also be accommodated. Just give us a call and we will find a spot for you. If you are checking dates and a weekend is open, then luck is with you and I have opened the calendar as I'm working on site. If this is the case, single night stays can be booked. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Looking for a peaceful and secluded spot to park up whilst exploring the Yarra Valley winery region, the Dandenong Ranges, or some of Melbourne's close regional towns like Healesville, Yarra Glen and Warburton? We have opened up a beautiful flat expanse at the rear of our five acre property and made it available to self contained campers and caravaners. We are travelers ourselves and often find it difficult to find peaceful yet secure spots that allow us to explore capital cities and the lovely areas around them. Most cities tend to have caravan parks in the outer suburbs and these can often resemble concrete jungles and be very busy leaving you feel like you have to pay a top premium to be cramped into a space. But what options do you have if you want to explore a vibrant city like Melbourne. See a show, do some shopping, eat out at some of the World's greatest restaurants. Yes, we all should splurge every now and then even when on the road. Our property lies at the very start of the Yarra Valley. It is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helens Hill vineyard. In the Summer months you can watch the fruit come onto the vines and in the Winter the views open up to see the kangaroos bouncing though the rows and often silhouetted against the skyline sunsets. We are less than 5 minutes to Lilydale town center. Supermarkets, restaurants, service centers, parts stores, hardware are all on the doorstep, yet looking out over the vines you wouldn't know. Lilydale is 38 kms from Melbourne CBD and there is a train station with ample day parking making it super easy to explore the heart of Melbourne and return 'home' to your country retreat for the night. Myki cards available on site FOC. There is a dump point only 3kms away at a local caravan park for those that need it and at our property water can be available to fill your tanks if needed for a small donation. There is no water or power connection on the sites but you can release your grey water to nourish the grass. Lilydale has a large laundromat available to you. We have a beautiful covered eating area with BBQ available so if the weather turns inclement you can still eat out yet under cover. All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available. We have restricted our area to a maximum of 6 sites to ensure that everyone has their space. Sites are not marked and locations will be on a first booked basis. Owners will direct you to your areas. The area is beautifully flat and does absorb water well but care must be taken to not tear it up after heavy rains. Please seek assistance from owners rather than tearing up the grass as a tractor is available. We can cater for large sized vans and even large motorhomes. Tents are welcome. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property. Hipcamp being USA based describes the sites and vehicles in USA terms and lengths. There is no way to alter this but please be aware. We cater for Aussie sized caravans and 4wd vehicles. 14 or 15m long all up, no problem. Just in a 4x4 with roof top tent and awning, we have you covered. Cruising the country in a Commodore with a pop top, all good here. Please be aware that we do share a boundary with a working vineyard and they do occasionally have a tractor or crew out in the vines doing some work. There can be a bit of farm machinery work every now and then but this is beyond our control and generally very minimal as vines dont take much looking after unless its harvest night.

Site 1 is the most suitable for big rigs and long vehicle combinations. Site 4 is located on a flat parcel of land at the rear of the property overlooking the vineyard. This site sits alongside a couple of container sheds but these are behind your van and pretty much out of sight once parked. This site is the premium sheltered site and the most suitable for 'big rigs' as it gives best exposure to sun without shadowing from branches. It has the closest access to the el fresco area and has the most grassed area directly out of the caravan door. Once unhitched you can park your vehicle at the front or rear of your van as you like. There's plenty of room for both. Most of our guests who have used this site love it the best, particularly those with kids as they have so much open grassland to play on directly off the camp. Views to the vineyard can be restricted if there are vans on Sites 1 and 2, but the openness of the site and the massive grassed area more than make up for it. As an additional bonus, for a small fee I can get power to this site. **If you wish to have family or friends visit whilst staying with us, please arrange this with Rob or Suzie prior to their arrival.

Site 5 is a lower level site right on our boundary and adjacent to the vines. It perfectly suits a tent and guests looking for a very private site up close and personal with the vines. This site is NOT suitable for camper trailers, caravans, RV's and motorhomes. More suited to 4wd vehicles with RTT's. Perfect for backpackers and 4x4 travelers needing a secure and private tent site. We were disappointed with our site #4 next to an ugly shed, told we had a view the otherside of the vineyard, but we ended up looking at a large caravan and a motor home. There were 8 vans in for 2 nights. We knew there were no facilities but had to pay $50/n due to the scarcity of sites in the area.

Rob was a fantastic host. Upon arrival he showed the kids around the area and helped them feed the resident cattle. The campsite was beautiful, level with nice green grass and pristine scenery. Our campsite was next to the dam. Rob provided comprehensive guidance and best routes to the property and for travelling in and around the city. Communication was quick and easy. Access to the campsite was easy, even for our tall 21-foot offroad caravan. We will be in touch with Rob to book again next time we are in the area.

We had a fantastic stay here, we struck some nasty weather, Rob was very kind and allowed us to move to a more sheltered area. Such kind people and a beautiful view over looking the vines and their beautiful gardens. Definitely recommended

Rob, has a beautiful, peaceful and very pleasant place you can call home for a couple of nights. Camping amongst vineyards in a very central location made exploring (cellar doors) an ease. Rob couldn’t be more accommodating and had plenty of tips about the area. There is a bbq and hotplate for guests to use under a seating area which came in very handy. I would highly recommend this gorgeous place. Thanks Rob.

This is a beautiful Hipcamp overlooking vineyards. We stayed on site 1, it was easy to access and was level. Our host, Rob, met us upon arrival and was very friendly and accomodating.

Loved camping here, as it was quiet with Fantastic views of grape vines, low cloud, rainbows and sunny vistas. Rob gave great ‘to do’ suggestions for the local area. He also willingly checked my tyres, as I was ‘supporting an imbedded and unwanted nail!’ :) Thanks Rob and Suzie.

Great spot to camp and explore the Yarra Valley, walking distance from wineries and breweries. Fantastic outlook over the vineyards, hope to return in the summer to enjoy the area in a different season.

Had a very relaxing 4 days in Yarra, great location for most things but also out in the vineyard with peace and quiet, lots of room even though all sites were taken, and everyone was friendly including the host who met me on arrival and took me through everything. Great experience. .

From the moment we booked, there was direct communication with Robert. He met us at our arrival time and showed us to our site, which was well kept and tidy. This site did not disappoint, with a view looking out to the vineyard, visiting kangaroos at different times of the day. Will definitely visit again in Autumn or Spring as both sunrise and sunset will paint different lights to the view. Although all sites were occupied, we certainly didn't feel like we were onto of each other. Robert was very friendly and informative about the area, there is also a covered area to sit if the weather is too wet. Like others that have stayed, we did venture through the vines to the winery next door, the view at the top of the hill was stunning. Close to towns and wineries of Yarra Valley too. Robert, thank you for your generous hospitality and allowing us to share the tranquility of your property. M&M

Stayed 5 night and a fantastic spot overlooking dam and vineyards. Far enough way to be peaceful but short drive to town and all the magnificent areas to explore. Rob & Susie were super amazing hosts, helped us with an issue we had with van and we are ever so grateful. The best hosts ever, they leave you alone if you want or there if you need anything or a chat. Will definitely return one day and stay with them again. 100%recommend.

Spent 5 amazing nights here, was so welcomed from the moment we turned up, rob and Suzie were the most amazing hosts, Rob shared so much knowledge not just in the local area but the whole of Australia, even took time to help us plan out our next route marking fuel stops, camps and points of Interest along the way! We really had the most amazing time relaxing and exploring the local region, 100% would go back again and really can’t thank Rob & Suzie enough for everything!

Nice and spacious site with a lovely outlook over the vineyard & dams. We were there with friends so had a fire with them at night, which was great! I think getting rid of rubbish is a problem so facilities for this would be a bonus.

Outstanding location to all the attractions in the area (vineyards, little towns, Healesville Sanctuary, shops) and super private with stunning views of the vineyards and beyond. Hosts were extremely helpful and nothing a problem. 100% recommended and would not hestitate to come back again when down that way.

Amazing camping spot surrounded by vineyards. You can even walk through the vines to the winery next door. Rob was an excellent host ensuring we were happy and comfortable. Will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Yarra Valley Vineyard. We received a warm welcome, the view of the vineyards was beautiful, plenty of space between us and the next campers, central to so many vineyards and places to visit, local recommendations and a short walk to a lovely winery called Helen’s Hill. Beautiful spot, very neat property and had a great outlook. Close to everything in Yarra Valley. Owner was friendly and helpful. Kids loved the waterhole and animals. Plenty of space to run around and relax for the night.

We loved our stay! Highly recommend this Hipcamp. We booked for one night initially and stayed for two after a day of exploring the area - Rob and Suzie were so lovely and welcoming with an abundance of knowledge on all things cars/camping/4WD. The undercover area was perfect for our needs and very cosy, equip with a gas bbq, induction cooking, plenty of seating and lighting. We loved waking up to the picturesque view of the vineyard and saying hello to their two very cute pet cows. We were lucky enough to pretty much have the place to ourselves which was perfect for the dogs.
