We came here for my 40th weekend, and had such a ball. Brendan was really helpful and friendly. I don't think the photos of the natural pool and spa do either of them justice, the outside space is absolutely stunning.
We will all very likely be back again!

I wanted a quiet getaway with lots to keep us occupied and the must was for it to have a pool! I searched high and low for said hideaway adventure and was almost going to settle on some beach side boring stay with other families noise cutting into our peace and quiet, and then I found Brendan's beautiful escape from the world. Nestled approximately 1 hour and a half or so away from busy Melbourne we ventured into the hills outside of Healsville on the road to Yea. Up a steep hill we climbed in the car after a perfect drive through wine country and there sat this beautiful house with lovely bright interior and all the modern touches to keep all happy. The movie room meant nights were sorted watching what ever genre of film we wished. The small well set out kitchen meant all food required was kept cool and the air fryer microwave kettle toaster and two hotplates were kept busy with our group at night and for breakfasts. The grounds were 60 acres and some great walking trails were hidden away, a spring and a lovely view of the city. The best however was the natural pool area that housed a bar, BBQ, beautiful rock spa, and that pool we so required. You can either sit on the deck edge and slide into the 2.5 metre deep pond or walk in like myself and enjoy the shared pool with fish I had the pleasure of naming. Brendan and his friendly coworker were extremely helpful and they helped when ever required. I have MS so is perfect for the mobility challenged too. Well worth the booking.

Top campground was lovely, just be aware far away from toilets and showers. Amenities great. Brendan was a great host and lovely. Lots of nice areas for dogs to explore.

Brendan has done a fantastic job of creating spaces within the natural bush setting, that accommodates a variety of camping styles, and group sizes. Not all sites are as secluded as others, but all have amazing outlooks of the surrounding forest, and mountains.
Brendan’s property has excellent amenities, including toilets and shower, and the swimming area is brilliant. A huge amount of thought and care has gone into creating a perfect balance of bush camping, with some creature comforts. Brendan is also a great host, with clear and timely instructions, and a pleasure to speak with when he visits the camping areas to make sure everyone is doing well.

Great scenic location, good property, but overall not good enough.
For the money, a lot more should be provided.
No gas for BBQ. No hot water at the kitchen.
Toilet and amenity block is ok, but there is only one male shower for over 20 people if fully booked, which is insufficient. It’s also pretty dirty.
Pool is good fun, obviously has had a lot of work go in to setting it up, spa didn't work though.
The main, alarming red flag issue was the Neighbours feud occurring during our stay. A couple, about 100m from our tent (on the neighbouring land) were mowing, whipper snipping and chain sawing, on purpose, as an act of spite to the owner of the Hipcamp land. They did it Thursday night (5-9pm), Friday morning (8-9am), Friday (11.30am-12.30pm), Friday night (6-9.30pm), and Saturday morning (8-9am). The owner is aware that there is a chance of this occurring, and still chose to charge full price for everyone to stay there, and made no mention of it on the Hipcamp page. It’s unreasonable for innocent consumers to be caught up, and brought into without realising, a neighbourhood feud which could have turned sour if anyone were to get aggressive. Some campers were yelling and provoking at the couple on the second night, and she was yelling back that she would be back first thing in the morning. Overall, not pleasant at all, and were disappointed that the owner wouldn’t take charge of the situation to ensure guests have a pleasant stay.

Main campground is right in front of the toilet/shower block which is the best you’ll find at a “campground” which is very convenient!
This site also has the most amazing view over a valley and forest.
The property is also used as a wedding venue and it shows in how well maintained it is including manicured lawn areas, festoon lighting and the most incredible natural swimming pool.
Yes it’s more expensive than most campgrounds but you get what you pay for in facilities

A short gravel to the campsite, and a bit steep as it located on the top of the hill.
Anyway, this campsite is perfect spot for family and it’s a pet friendly. The view is amazing at the night and day time! Everything was perfect!
Very clean amenities include kitchen, flush toilet and hot shower! Campfires are allowed and firewood readily available! All campers can access and enjoy swimming at the natural pool!
This is a must visit place! Love to come again!

Fantastic campground nestled in bushland with superb valley views, and close to Melbourne. The natural pool and spa (the latter sometimes warm, sometimes a bit murky) were fantastic and I was pleasantly surprised the size and cleanliness of the amenities.
Some of the sites are a bit haphazard, uneven and not clearly defined, but Brendan is working on improving this. He met us on arrival and helped us choose an appropriate spot. The driveway is gravel and very steep, but we managed it fine with a 22-foot van by putting the car in 4WD and applying a bit of speed.
Overall we absolutely loved this campground, it provided a total switch-off for our family and the pool was nothing short of divine. Loved having a campfire at night and Brendan was always floating around, checking on the comfort of guests and up for a chat. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

We loved our short stay at Toolangi Heights. We had a fabulous spot up near the towering gums, which provided shade all day and were filled with beautiful birds.
The pool is magnificent, and the views were outstanding.

This is a perfect summer campsite! Our site was positioned on M3 main campground which was close to communal kitchen , toilet and shower block, and swimming pool which were all clean and tidy.
We all loved diving into the natural swimming pool overlooking the picturesque Toolangi national forest, especially our two young children. This was definitely the highlight!
There was plenty of activities to do such as darts, croquet and the corn bag throw. The kids also enjoyed foraging for firewood, and Of course devouring the marshmallows afterwards.
Brendan checked in with us daily to make sure everything was ok. On Brendan’s suggestion, we decided to out to wirrawilla rainforest walk which was a beautiful short boardwalk for our little ones. There were also longer hikes available too.
The stay here was great and we are already planning our return trip.

Wayne's Spring Campground
Camping at Wayne’s spring was amazing. Being away from the main camp was a definite plus, even though toilets were 400m away at the main camp. Brendan was so friendly and welcoming, minor issue was that the diesel pump had to be running near our camp for a couple of hours a day to supply water to camp tanks (although Brendan is fixing this to a quieter pump). We can’t wait to be back!!!! Thanks Brendan it’s a special place

Beautiful spot! Top camp was lovely and shady in the hot afternoon. Our 3 year old loved the pools (so did we). The pools are also securely fenced from the campground (not obvious from the photos but important for peace of mind when camping with little ones). We hope to come back!

We loved the Top Campsite - plenty of space to find shade and no noise from other campers. Such a beautiful spot to listen to the kookaburras and relax. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Brendan was a lovely host, who checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Gorgeous view from the pool area, and such a treat to have a dip on a hot day.

The pool is fantastic. Great variety of pitches, I don't think any would disappoint but check ahead if you prefer seclusion, shade, view, stargazing, proximity to facilities. Nice loos and showers. The place as a whole has great character.

Very clean site and a bonus to have proper toilets and hot showers. Very well laid out clean ablutions. Brendan was always on hand for queries and even went out of his way to bring us a "small" dead tree and chain sawing it into usable firewood for us! Nice grassy site with great views and fairly level too. Loads of gang gang cockatoos, king parrots, kookaburras, crimson rosellas up at the top site too. Pretty busy during the school holidays, but no stress with noise or inconsiderate behaviour, and sites are far enough apart. Brendan has a great thing going here!! By far the best hipcamp site we have stayed at yet. Will certainly be back as soon as possible.

This place is absolutely beautiful! We arrived when it was pouring rain and it was still incredible. Perfect place for a weekend getaway and not far from melb city.
Brendan the host is an absolute legend, helping us girls out to heat the hot tub with firewood (so cool) and having a beer with us to listen to our problems 😂 (too polite)
You can really see how much work he has put into the place, it is really worth checking out!

Love the site. Stunning view, flat ground, close to amenities. Amenities have male and female toilets and hot shower rooms, and are very spacious and clean. Brendon is friendly and helpful, he came say hi when we arrived.
