You will be camped in the Castle grounds inside privacy hedges, with a view to the valley below. You will feel like you've gone back in time to an era of kings, knights and mystery where dragons fly above. There's 2 separate terraces and you will be on soft mossy grass with very close access to the shower and toilets. Set in a beautiful valley teeming with abundant wildlife, you will wake with the sound of Kookaburras and fairy wrens flittering through the hedges. At night the sounds of nature continue with distant frog song and the occasional appearance of an owl. There are shared toilets and shower, please leave the facilities clean after use. Some toilet paper is supplied but please bring your own too. Take a tour of the themed cottages (depending on occupancy) or simply put your feet up and enjoy the sounds of nature ... come and enjoy the creative charms of Mira Mira. Pets are welcomed but please keep dogs on a leash at all times and pick up after them. Dogs must also be securely attached inside the tent overnight. There is livestock in the properties either side and dogs love to chase things! You are allowed to have a campfire as long as it is not dry and no fire ban. Please ensure fire is only started within a firepit in an allocated spot and don't start a new spot. This is a perfect place for group camping and please ask me about exclusive use of the downstairs part of the castle including - pool table and games, dining area and lounges. You can also access a fridge and a sink for washing dishes with exclusive castle hire.

Set in the valley and surrounded by trees this beautiful open spot is suitable for tents & caravans. You will wake to the sound of birds and fall asleep to the frog song symphony. Due to the secluded nature of this location only one booking will be accepted at a time so you can have the spot to your self. The area is quite large and could accommodate many tents or caravans so there is a minimum of 2 nights on the weekends. You will be out of sight but quite near to the Japanese Zen Retreat so you will need to be mindful of noise. This spot is not suitable for children unless the cottage is not occupied. Toilets and shower is available but is a 10 min walk (or you can drive) please do not use the track by Japanese Zen Retreat as it overlooks the cottage and the guests privacy is very important. *Access is dependent on weather as the area currently gets very soggy through the wet months so this is really dry camping only and open during spring/summer/autumn. Please check with me as to the condition of the ground prior to booking.

When you think of Japanese architecture you think of simple and stylish accommodation in a relaxing surrounding and our Japanese Zen Retreat will not disappoint you. Influenced by the styles of the Kyoto Palace and nestled at the base of a gully, the Zen Retreat has been built on a tranquil pond with only the sound of frogs and kookaburra’s to disturb you. As the sun goes down in the afternoon what better place to be than sitting on the veranda overlooking the pond and drinking a glass of local wine or curling up on the couch in the lounge while the delicate patterns of sunlight on water reflect on the walls and ceiling around you. Surrounded by a secluded “Bush Style” interpretation of a Japanese Garden the Japanese Zen Retreat is the idyllic setting for a relaxing getaway. By entering the doorway in the mouth of Magog and descending the winding steps lit by fire lanterns, you will find yourself in an underground world of intrigue and surprises. Detail is everything with colored up-lights creating the beautiful patterned glow and look of natural stone whilst the sound of water has also been added to truly enhance the feel of living underground. Cool in summer and yet warm in winter, The Cave has magnificent views of the ranges from its picture windows that have been carved into the hillside and is the ideal place for a relaxing or romantic weekend away. Most beautiful place I've ever been in Victoria! Would highly recommend this stay to anyone, so many cool things to explore on the land and amazing views from everywhere. Will definitely be coming back!

Just the re-set I needed! The serenity and lovely kept grounds at Mira Mira was perfect for my off grid rebalance with nature in my camper van Nic the host was friendly and happy for me to stay another night and build my own campfire. I fell asleep to the symphony of frogs under a starry sky This is my new go to for a getaway Highly recommend

We only stayed for 1 night but we loved Mira Mira! Nic is a lovely host, we were taken back and amazed with how much the castle has to offer inside. Would definitely recommend if you’re after a quiet spot of camping :)

I stayed one night on short notice, Nic was very accommodating and polite. Nic showed me around the grounds and let me pick where to stay. The grounds are truly unique and well worth exploring if you get the chance!

We really had a good experience here!! Nic was welcoming us and made us to feeling at home! Such a wonderful place- zen, cave and fairy house! You can find everything you need to stay there for days-clean toilet, a hot shower with a beautiful view and quiet atmosphere. It rained while we were staying but we still enjoyed a lot. I hope we could have stayed longer and cant wait to stay again!

What a fascinating property with some very quirky buildings! Nic was a lovely host. I camped at the lakeside spot. Flat and clear enough area at the time I was there. If you are looking for someone quiet and out of the way, note that there can still plenty of sound and movement from cars and guests due to proximity to other accommodation and public/private roads, plus property lighting.

I had a fantastic stay at Mira Mira Lakeside Camping. The setting was absolutely picturesque and Nic, our fabulous host warmly welcomed us at the gate and personally guided us to the secluded and beautiful camp spot. I was thrilled that our dogs were welcome, which made the experience even more enjoyable. And the hot shower and toilet facilities in the quirky castle were appreciated! This place is a true gem for anyone seeking tranquility, creative inspiration and a personal touch.

Nic is a great host and we loved our 2 nights at Mira Mira. The castle theme was great fun and the view from the terrace is really nice. Shower and toilets were clean and the fire pit and ample wood supply made everything so easy. We would love to come back!

Beautiful lil spot, gorgeous views of the property. Nic was a lovely host and allowed us to look in all off the accommodation spaces when unoccupied. Kids had a blast.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay, lots of different accommodation styles on this trip we camped in tents by the lake very quiet and peaceful. Nic was absolutely lovely and very accommodating we definitely will be back.

I had a great time on this fun property, nic was a great host and over the long weekend had thoughtfully placed all the guests in thier own private spots which made it feel like you had the place to yourself. I camped down near the dam in the field with my little 2*3 camper trailer and felt safe and secure. Not many mozzies by the dam and the ground although sloped had enough flat area to set up the camper trailer. Easy to drive through site aswell. I enjoyed the open night skys surrounded by the fun buildings that accented the property. The only point I would make is that if I was towing something longer the gate into the paddock was on a tight angle. The property is located perfectly between too main townships aswell but still felt like you where getting out and camping in the bush!! Say hello to the nieghbours ponies they certainly liked to have a curious look at you throughout the morning and evenings! Thankyou for the property stay.

Excellent place to camp with 2 indoor clean toilet facilities and a great shower. Nic is a lovely host and her grounds are beautiful set amongst trees and mountain views with flat spots available for tenting. She also made a fridge available in the reception area near the toilets and offered plug in points outside requiring extension cords for power but as I didn't use this assuming my site was unpowered, I'd check ahead on this being available. I thoroughly recommend this place for camping and I want to come back another time.

As our first camping experience, this was a fantastic location and a great way to ease into camping. We had a powered site, with access to clean toilets and shower, giving us a pretty sheltered experience for our first time, which is what we wanted. Nic was an amazing host, friendly, accommodating and just a beautiful person! We will definitely be back to explore and experience everything this unique property has to offer with several other camping locations and even cottages to offer. Thanks Nic for a great first experience!

The spot was nice, would surely recommend to other. Unpowered sites would require a bit of clean and maintenance, but it’s surely worth a stay.

Really love what they trying to do and it's delightfully quirky and a beautiful spot but is not suitable for tent camping. You really need to be self contained - at least for now. Hopefully their listing will update to make that clearer
