Pitch your own tent in an idyllic permaculture forest garden 20 minutes from Cardiff city centre or book our rustic caravan lair. Each accommodates 2 people There is also a spot for a VW type campervan -max length 5metres. camp. Anything longer will not fit. Also a caravan sleeps 2 Campers can upgrade at extra cost to a pre-pitched tent on this site, complete with bedding. Range of facilities kitchen kit available in gazebo. In easy reach of lakes, forest, coast and Cardiff Bay. 10 minutes walk to Eastbrook train station and cycle routes. It's an urban oasis between the road and commuter rail line, it's screened from the road which is 40 metres away but expect traffic/train noise. Ideal for cycle tourers and walkers who enjoy the wild camp style but also want access to the city. Indoor shared bathroom with shower and phone charging. Wifi works near to the house. Wood-burning BBQ next to tent or use the wood-burning stove in our garden marquee. They have chickens ducks and a very friendly cat! So unfortunately we cannot accommodate dogs. We are new to HipCamp but have hosted over 700 visitors from around the world in our two caravans. We don't take tent bookings from October 20th. until April 20th. We have winter caravan accommodation. Wild-style camping with great facilities. Bring your own tent and bedding. OR Add-on upgrade to a large 2 person pre-pitched tent - shown in picture, includes bedding (click on Extras to book this). Pitch is for tent size maximum 2 meters x 3 meters. Wild One has it's own bbq spot. It's an urban oasis between the road and commuter rail line, it's screened from the road which is 30 metres away but expect some traffic/train noise. With campsite BBQ and folding chairs. Cook on your own site or use the marquee cooking facilities and eating area. Indoor shower and toilet. Cars only parked 40 meters away - but check that parking is available before booking. Access to Wild One campsite via rear of the house. PLEASE CHECK IN BEFORE 6PM . Gourmet breakfast and bike tours available (click on Extras for these). Please note the site is not suitable for children under 10.

Parking spot for campervan , size is restricted to 18 feet / 5.5 metres long such as VW Transporter or Transit size vehicles. When you book it click 'car or trailer tent' option (this is because we don't offer space for big RV's) . Water from hose. Electric Hook up from adjacent shed please bring a hook up with a normal domestic plug. Indoor shared hot shower and toilet in house 6 meters away. Washing machine available. Access via rear of the house. Use of garden marquee facilities. including wood burner. No fires next to campervan . PLEASE CHECK IN BEFORE 7PM. See Extras to book gourmet breakfast and bicycle tours.

Vintage caravan with awning. 1 double one single bed. Bedding provided. Rustic, quaint accommodation vintage but dry 'Europa' caravan in an urban oasis, expect some occasional commuter train noise. Kettle in caravan, cooking in the adjacent marquee . Indoor shower and toilet in house 10 metres away. Non-smokers only, usually space for 1 car parked 10 meters away - please check before booking. Access via rear of the house. PLEASE CHECK IN BEFORE 6PM . Gourmet breakfast and bike tours are available (click on Extras for these).

A really beautiful spot to spend time in. An alternative place not like a run of the mill camping field, you are camping close to Michele and Chris’s home and in their much loved land/garden/farm. The camper van spot can really only take a VW (SWB) sized van but the use of the outside kitchen and space makes up for the squeeze. The tent space is further away and does feel wild. There was plenty of shade and spots to sit. The rail line and road do mean there is at times some noise but I often use ear plugs camping and I wasn’t disturbed. Shower and toilet are in their house but beautiful maintained and clean and easily accessible without feeling you are disturbing them.

I would definitely recommend, great hosts who went above and beyond to make sure our trip was easy and enjoyable. Fab little place to stay if you like a rustic stay allowing you to feel closer to nature. The breakfast made with home grown produce was amazing and I highly recommend. We will be back again 😊
