Unsupervised at Arboles Muertos
Brain was an awesome host. We had some road trouble and got to the lodging late but he was responsive and helpful to get us to where we needed to be. The tent was large and the bed inside was comfortable. The temperature went down at night but thanks to the heater we stayed toasty. The area was very private and had all the great things about camping with out the hassle.

this site was awesome! so close to big bend and terlingua. the hosts were very helpful and communicated while I was driving down which was much appreciated. wasnt hard to find with the coordinates provieded. the tent was also *divine.* it stayed very warm in January, plus it was clean and cute.

Great campsite, convenient to both Terlingua and BBNP, and scenic on its own. Easy to find off 118. Driveway and outhouse are well maintained. Definitely recommended!

Camping Oasis 🙏
Talk about the perfect Desert getaway. First off, the views are top notch. Secondly, every campsite site is secluded. Lastly, it’s QUIET. I just spent the week out there and have nothing but great things to say not only about Brian and Katie’s property but the whole Terlingua area in general. Will most definitely be back before the year ends.

You'll want to come back!
I wasn't sure of what to expect when we arrived and then we drove up to meet Brian. His dogs also welcomed us to the property. By the way, they were the biggest, sweetest and fluffiest dogs I've even seen. We stayed on the Disco site. All of their sites are far from one another and there are huge mounds of dirt that separates you. You won't even realize you're sharing the property with other people. We also stayed at the Summit at Big Bend but the domes were too close to one another. So close I heard someone next to us fart. My boyfriend and i discussed how we missed Rancho de los Arboles Muertos. It was pure peace and quiet. The stars were beautiful and bright. They have wood for sale and they even offered to refund what we didn't use. When we come back we'll definitely make a reservation here. Oh and the outhouse was the cleanest outhouse. Beautiful views and we can't wait to come back to get away from the loud sounds in the city. Thanks, Brian and Disco!

The place is amazing!! Brian was so friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay. This place is really recommended, close to the town and Big Bend National Park. Ideal as a base camp for primitive camping, over landing or even a small rv. Few spots in a huge property, very private.

Really incredible camp sites and the hosts are extremely hands-on and friendly. They were accommodating for our large group and the nighttime views were as good (better some nights) than Big Bend. Will definitely come back!!

We loved camping here. The views were amazingly beautiful and it was so private and peaceful. Every detail was so artistic, including the outhouse. We can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful piece of land with some great views. Plenty of space between sites for some solitude and room to explore. Outhouse was nice and clean. Brian was a great host and always available if needed. Terlingua and the national park are both just a few miles away. Would have no hesitation staying again.

Knotty Soul
Perfect way to ring in the new year. Knotty Soul was amazing, even though it was close to the main worksite by distance, it felt totally remote, and you can’t see another site! My dog ventured around happily and safely.
So close to the National park as well as the state park. 100% recommend, I hope to return soon!

This was the perfect place to camp in Terlingua! The camp site was in a private area on the property, and it had an amazing view. There was also outdoor seating as well as a picnic table. Definitely recommend this spot, especially if you are looking for a convenient camping arrangement.

INCREDIBLE STAY AWAY FROM IT ALL
This place is amazing. You will not be sorry you stayed and the skies were amazing. Awesome privacy and the host went above and beyond. Crazy to say but even the outhouse was TOP NOTCH … we kind of wish we had one at home. 10/10 absolutely would go again. We had 3G cell service the whole time at the location which was an unexpected bonus - not that we looked at the phones once we were in place.

Aboles Muertos ! Tent ! Terlingua!
We loved the setup ! It has enough privacy and the tent is soooo beautiful . I must say picture perfect . Brian is a lovely person and very quick to respond , his direction was clear and he knows about the area a lot so he will tell you where you can go if you don't have any specific plan . The tent also has solar lights its well decorated and beautiful. I will not spoil the surprise about explaining all the details about night sky and other lovely stuff. But I have to say if you are staying here you won't be disappointed ! Its totally worth staying .

Brian, is a really nice and helpful host. The location is very convenient to both the NP and BBRSP which is nice. In addition I had cell service with Verizon if that is important to you. I would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We had a lovely time at Brian and Katie’s campsite. Sites are nice and private, views are unbelievable with access to surrounding hills and mtns for a quick hike. There was a private outhouse for our site that was clean and well-maintained. Brian was attentive and friendly and recommended a great hike. Firewood was available for purchase as well. Will definitely rent from them again!

Fantastic spot—45 minutes away from Big Bend Chisos trail heads. Super remote-beautiful sunsets and sunrises with a lux campfire. Brian was super accommodating and had great communication on getting to our spot. Would def be back!

Knotty Soul
Gorgeous desert spot!
Had such a great stay at on Brian and Katie’s land! I was provided with coordinates that took me right to the entrance and my campsite. The roads are well maintained, so even with my little Honda Fit I had no trouble getting out to the farthest site. I stayed at Knotty Soul which has a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains. The sunrises and sunsets are great and the stargazing is crazy out there since there is so little light pollution.
The nearby outhouse was not only very clean and well maintained, but dare I say beautiful?!
Brian was a great host - made sure that I could find my site, had enough firewood, updated me on the road conditions when it rained overnight.
I would definitely recommend this site to anyone coming through Terlingua! It’s very close to the ghost town and only a couple miles down the road from Big Bend National Park.

Exceptional!
Incredibly hard to improve on perfection and yet I know they are going to!
The hosts: Brian and Katie were welcoming, friendly, gave perfect directions. Very accommodating (to the max).
The campsite: great views, clean, simple, private. Nice pre-fabbed area for tent with a fire ring. You can hardly hear anything and can’t make eye contact with anyone.
Location: pretty stellar, not only located before the junction to head off to either big bend or big bend ranch but far enough outside of town where noise and light pollution don’t muddy or tarnish your perfect sheet of stars. It is close enough where you are spending all morning driving to the parks from the camp. The cell reception for me at camp was literally perfect. Maybe that says more about Verizon haha but much to my chagrin the phone was still working at camp. So for those of you that are into that, it worked.

Brian and Katie are one of the nicest and accommodating couples I’ve ever met. Our stay was fantastic! The view of Willow mountain at sunset is incredible and the campground was very nice and had plenty of space. I look forward to staying again!

The views are amazing and directions were easy to get to camp site. Brian met us upon arrival and was very nice. The nights were so worth it! The stars were so clear. Was definitely warm during the day but we were off in the park most days. We will be back!

Site 12-The Badlands/Disco
A real desert camping experience
My boyfriend and our small dog stayed at Brian's for 3 days, and it was incredible! We felt very safe there and had an incredible view, nestled in the sand dunes and mountains. Great location to visit both big bend National and state parks. About 15mins drive to each. We did the state park on the first day (btw there are dog friendly hikes at the state park), and the national park on the second. There are also lots of space to explore on Brian's land, we went for multiple walks in the riverbed and along the dirt road. Incredible views and privacy here!
We were the only ones staying when we came. Incredible experience, very peaceful and incredible views (we watched sunset & sunrise every day!!). Outhouse is one of the cleanest/nicest outhouses I've used. Looked brand new. I would definitely come back here, and hope to in the future!
We have a 170"WB Sprinter Van RWD and had no problem navigating the dirt roads. We stayed in the farthest campsite (10mins from the road) and it was very worth it for the views and privacy. You don't need a 4x4, the roads are well kept.
