Brandon is an amazing host. He was very calm and welcoming. He gave us a quick verbal tour of the property and amenities that the place has to offer. The tent site was clean and well maintained. I just wish the entrance road was built properly instead of gravel road the whole way

Beautiful location with easy access

Croesus Canyon was a wonderful place to stay for our Big Bend adventures. The camp has fantastic views including the Chisos mountains and also has an unhindered view of the dark starry night sky. Sunrise and sunset are both incredible here. The hosts are friendly and provided great advice and local knowledge. Our RV site (#2) backed up against the hosts‘ RV, but the hosts and the other campers were hardly seen or heard. It often felt like we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed the multiple friendly dogs that live on the property, but that might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Brandon allowed our dogs to have some off leash exercise too! The location was centrally located from everything we wanted to see: BBNP, BB Ranch State Park, Terlingua ghost town, and Black Jack’s Crossing at Lajitas Golf Resort.

What a great spot! Wide open and primitive, but loved that there was an open air bathroom. Our host was extremely nice and accommodating. We were there for the Big Bend Ultra race. Will definitely be back next year, and bring our whole group this time. This location was perfect for groups, or quiet twosomes.

The campground was much farther from the national park than we anticipated based on the description. Also, the communal toilet wasn’t very convenient for the tent sites. And the toilet was in poor repair. Overall our experience was acceptable but fell short of what we’ve come to expect in similarly priced public and private campgrounds.

Brandon was awesome! I had some serious technical difficulties regarding my 5th wheel hitch and he came to the rescue with his tools and willingness to help. I really can’t thank him enough! The site itself has great views. I have never seen so many stars! It was a good 45 min-1 hour drive into the main part of the national park (Chisos Basin) but totally worth the drive. Thanks again!

Great Option not too far from town

Car camping sites are flat and well spaced out. The sites are far enough off the main road that you don’t get a lot of noise. definitely a good choice if you want a basic site without hookups.

My wife, the dog, and I all enjoyed staying at Croesus Canyon RV. Brandon was a great host and gave us interesting and useful information about the area. The location was great for us, being between the national and state parks, and between Lajitas and Terlingua. Very quiet being away from town. The layout of his campground was very nice and provided everything we needed. Communication before we arrived was great, and he responded to questions by text very quickly. Highly recommened.

True Desert Experience

Camping on Brandon's land was great! The car camping sites are separated from the RV sites, so nights are quiet and peaceful. The sites are sized nicely, and all have fire rings. There are two picnic tables and a steel grill in a commons area in the center of the camp area. The common use restroom facility has a flush toilet and sink and is kept very clean and stocked with all the restroom necessities. During my four nights, only two other car campers came in and each for only one night, so I pretty much had the area to myself. The desert setting during the day, and the night sky made my four-night stay a memorable one. If I were to visit the area again, I would definitely book Brandon's property for my stay.

We loved it! We let Brandon know we were running late and he was waiting for us as we pulled on to our RV site. His property was amazing! It was quite with fantastic views in every direction and beautiful trails to hike upon. He also suggested several nearby spots to visit, Closed Canyon, being one of the most breathtaking for my husband, pup, and myself! We woke up one morning to set out for the day and realized we had low tire pressure, where Brandon took the time to help us plug the hole so our day was not ruined. We are already planning our next visit to Big Bend where we plan to stay at Croesus Canyon. Thank you Brandon for making our relaxing Christmas vacation one we will not soon forget.

What a great place to spend 1 night or many nights. The host is helpful and kind. The site is well setup and maintained. Beautiful location. We purchased smoked pork and had smoked turkey, both were delicious. So glad we were able to experience this on our trip.

Amazing Experience at a Great Place

It was a great time out there. Hosts were very nice, facilities were as described, and the views were spectacular throughout the day and night. I went out there to see some truly dark skies, and was not disappointed. Light pollution was a bare minimum, and there were times in the early morning that I could hear absolutely nothing at all.

Had the best time camping on Brandon's land. It is fairly close to the Big Bend Entrance and Brandon had good suggestions for restaurants around (try the pizza place nearby!) as well as hikes and what to see in the park. He put on an amazing spread for Thanksgiving and we got to eat good food and meet cool people. I highly recommend staying with this host!

Wonderful site and host! The views from our campsite were great and it was easy to find. The toilet was a very nice perk and the host had a Thanksgiving dinner for us campers! It was a great time and a beautiful spot. It was my first time using Hipcamp and I loved it!

Amazing views, great hosts!

Stunning 360 views of gorgeous desert canyon mountains! Our car camp site was perfect, we situated our tent perfectly for clear view of sunrise and sunset. Beauty all around. But meeting Brandon and Lynn was the best part! Great people. Friendly as heck. Will do anything to help. The kind of people who share their love of the land and host with heart.

Beautiful scenery. Quiet and peaceful. Camp sites were clean and well maintained. Clean bathroom on site. Perfect place for stargazing at night and beautiful view of the sunrise in the morning. Close to Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Texas State Park. Dog friendly. Definitely would stay here again.

Large camp just minutes away from Terlingua and Big Bend National Park! Enough sites for a large group to come and enjoy the all that the area has to offer. Each site has it's own fire pit and is well maintained. There are a couple of RV sites and some glamping tents coming soon! Brandon was a super friendly host and will make sure that you have everything you need to make your stay more comfortable.

Stars, Desert and Lovely Company.

I loved staying at Brandon’s. Even though the heat was tough because it was a Texas summer - Brandon made it super welcoming for us. He took us on a ride to the property as well as the Rio Grande where we saw a bit of Mexico! He was fast to respond to anything and even gave us a ride in to town when we needed to get some groceris. Overall, a very good trip - the stars CANNOT be missed! They were absolutely stunning.

Amazing Desert Camping Experience

Brandon was amazing and such a great host to work with. The space was super cool and right in the desert. Amazing stars at night and super cool mountain views during the day. Brandon helped us with so much and I can't stress how friendly he is. Would 1000% go back!

Astronomy Camping

The campsite was a great dessert campsite. Not many trees, so great for astronomy. The people were really nice and the facilities were very clean. Sky is dark as ever, and I would highly recommend camping here to do stargazing.
