Learn more about this land:
Swim, hike, kayak, or chill in a hammock. We have it all! We have already identified around 75 different plants and trees on our 53 acres, and there's many more. Make a cup o' camp coffee and take a morning walk and see how many you find. We have a well-marked private trail system, featuring a 1-mile loop that will take you on a climb from the lake, across Rose Ridge and back down again. Three connector trails can get you from Rose Ridge to the rest of the property. The trails are modeled after backcountry hiking trails the owners have traversed in their combined 20+ years of hiking the Pacific Northwest and the Smoky Mountains. Bring a cooler and your speaker to the lake and swim, or take a kayak over to Jimmy's Place for a burger and live music. Rose Hollow has so much to offer for those who choose to spend their days on the property. If you feel like exploring the area further we are only a short 30 minute drive from historical Cumberland Gap National Park, where you can stand in 3 states at once at the Tri-State lookout. 5 gallons of clear pure mountain well water is provided at each campsite. Campers can access additional water from a spigot located at the end of the Blueberry Hill Trail to the right of the garage. Like backcountry camping in the Smoky Mountains, you will be reserving a particular campsite, with a fire pit and tent/hammock area. Unlike the Smokies, you will be the only group in your spot. We have a variety of camp sizes to accommodate a private experience or a group of friends. The terrain in Rose Hollow ranges from a gravel drive to steep switchbacks. Most of the campsites are nestled in wooded areas under a canopy of umbrella magnolia, maple, oak, sassafras, hickory and beech trees to provide shade in the hottest of Tennessee summers.

Rose Hollow Camp
These wooded campsites are awesome! We loved our stay in the rose hollow campsite on this property. There are multiple campsites to pitch your tent along the ridge line with gorgeous views, or in the rose hollow site which is nearest to the parking area. There is an awesome little trail system for you to explore and you have easy access to the lake where you can take the kayaks out for a peaceful sunset paddle. There’s a communal fire pit near the lake and individual fire pits at campsites. There are plenty of trees to set up your tent or hammock under. We camped at the beginning of November and loved the fall colors. Our campsite was a short hike from the parking area. There was a wheelbarrow in the parking area to help us get our supplies down in one trip. Our hosts also had a large container of drinking water for us to fill up with in the parking area. These sites are so quiet and peaceful. You’re completely removed from neighbors and can even get a little taste of light backpacking here. You can also check out the nearby local hotspots as well. We loved this stay and would 1000% book again. Staying in off season was great and we’d love to come back in the summer!
