Camping on the farm!
Everything about Eventide Sanctuary is amazing! Ian (who runs the whole farm) puts so much love, care and work into all the rescue animals. Itâs clear that the animals love where they are!
Ian let us choose whereabouts we wanted to set up camp, it was on a slight downhill, which didnât affect us.
All the animals have free range across the whole property. Ian let us know where abouts the highland cattle were and they were spectacular.
I would definitely recommend staying here. So much fun and so much to explore. Definitely will be back.

Brilliant family getaway
Beautiful place, my kids loved the animals and got outside and off their devices to meet the alpacas and find the highland cows, and to help Ian and Wally with the bobby calves.
Ian was a great host and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. We live nearby and will make this a regular getaway.
Plenty of room for our caravan, but 4x4 recommended for best sites with caravan.
We really appreciate what Ian is doing not just for the animals, but for rural communities. He's not trying to tug at your heartstrings, but to do right by the animals.

Amazing Farm Experience đ
Awesome night away surrounded by nature and friendly farm animals and waking up to a glorious sunrise and alpacas and goats greeting us at the tent đ be as hands on as you like with the farm animals or farm jobs as Ian and his dog Wally need lots of help and the animal stories he tells will have you in stitches! We will be back âď¸

Eventide Farm is such a gem, hidden in our own backyard. Ian let the kids help feed the animals. The calves were so so sweet. Many laughs were had, marshmallows were deliciously burnt and the sunrise this morning will not be forgotten soon. We'll be back!

What an incredible experience!
There is nothing quite like Eventide- the property is gorgeous, but the animals are the stars thatâs for sure! Ian is an amazing host- attentive, kind, fascinating and a genuinely good bloke. We will be back- many, many more times I am sure!

Choice of amazing areas to camp!
Camping with animals
Excellent host who waited patiently for our family to arrive and feed the 2 week old calves. Our 6 and 8 year old boys will never forget this experience. Thanks so much. Next day we explored the farm with many sheep, chickens, alpacas and cows. The animals come right to your door and are all friendly. All animals are rescues and are super lucky to have Ian. Great spot before or after you go to Port Arthur. Many thanks and all the best with your rescue project.
