Uncle B's Farm
Not sure how anyone could possibly not love this place. Uncle B provides an awesome experience to all his guests. It was late in the season and very cold the night we stayed. Brian welcomed us with a tour of the property and some additional information. He kept the shower open for us even though the temperature went below freezing during the night. He brought us hot chocolate and made sure we kept warm (26 °F). The tent sites are spacious with fireplace and table. The shower, bathroom and community kitchen have all one could ask for. We did not miss a thing. Great host, adorable animals and beautiful, clean property. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We loved camping at Brian's Hipcamp. We were welcomed with farm fresh eggs, veggies and the fixings for s'mores. It was windy and Brian directed us to the best site to avoid the gusts. Enjoyed our time and peacefulness of the camp. The eggs and veggies made a delicious egg scramble for breakfast. I highly recommend this camp!

Best camping in USA
Brian was honestly the best host we had in USA after crossing the WHOLE COUNTRY! By the moment we arrived, he was very friendly and welcoming. He made us feel confortable and at home. His property is so beautiful and lovely, the campsites are large, clean and safe. On top of that, he provided us such delicious and fresh veggies from his garden, eggs, s’mores and wood to build a fire. The showers and the restrooms were clean and warm, even the soap smelled good! We recommend his place 100% and would love to come back.
Thank you so much for everything Brian, you made our stay in South Dakota remarkable!

Excellent host, beautiful farm!
The incredible hospitality I’ve gotten at Hipcamp. Brian’s farm is beautiful, and the bathrooms and showers are spotless, but what makes this place unique is his hospitality. He pre-setup the perfect campfire branch stack before my arrival (so I could quickly start the fire without having to stack up the woods), gave me beautiful goodies - fresh veggies, eggs, and s’mores kit - and came back to check to see if I need anything else. He also offered me to play with his new puppies, which were incredibly cute. I strongly recommend his farm. It’s such a peaceful, fun, and happy place.

Puppies & veggies & eggs, oh my!
All the campsites looked nice, but thanks to Uncle B for pointing out an opening in the trees strung with fairy lights where we could set up our tent tucked away in a pine grove. We slept great. In fact, we slept in... in a tent! Access to a shower house and Uncle B's offerings of farm-fresh eggs and produce really elevate this beyond just any old campsite.

Fireside chats and PUPPIES!
Uncle Brian’s Farm was an incredible stay! Impeccable accommodations, unmatched hospitality, and PUPPIES to play with. We had the best time chatting with Uncle B by the fire and woke up to a beautiful sunrise. Not sure when we’ll be back to SD, but this farm would be a reason to return all on its own. Highly recommend!

Great place to stop!
Loved staying at Uncle B’s! Brian was incredibly friendly and helpful and even sent us home with half a dozen farm fresh eggs and some veggies from his garden. The campsite we stayed at was nice and level and even though there were other campers at other sites we didn’t feel crowded. Huge perks included bathrooms with showers! Would definitely stay here again :)

Brian was very nice and directed us to a good spot, then came back and suggested we move behind the trees to block the wind. Also brought us farm fresh eggs and fresh veggies for breakfast. Unfortunately, our fire stick failed and couldn’t enjoy the eggs. Great spot and bath house was perfect.

Best first Hipcamp experience!
Brian’s place was perfect for our needs! He greeted us and let us pick our site on arrival before meeting us with s’more fixings, fresh eggs and tomatoes from the garden. His dogs are so sweet and just had a litter of puppies for us to see and play with. The night was peaceful with a fire and quiet all night. The hot shower in the morning was much needed for the rest of our travels! Thank you Brian for your hospitality and recommendations for our drive!

Great Spot, Neighbor issues.
Overall Uncle B’s is great. Unfortunately we had a poor experience due to the group next to us. They were up virtually all night and did some very strange things. Uncle B is very nice, he welcomed us, showed us the parking. Shared veggies from his garden and eggs. Great to have electricity. Fairly level. The shower house was excellent, clean and good hot water. Sunset and sunrise was gorgeous. Disappointed to see cigarette butts on the ground around our camper. I will definitely stay here again, and hope for a better neighbor.

A wonderful stop on my road trip!
Brian is a fantastic host! He is friendly and it's obvious that he cares about his guests and their experience. He brought over fresh eggs from his chickens, tomatoes and peppers from his garden, and chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows for s'mores. A crate of dry firewood was perfect to start a fire and enjoy the night sky. I camped in my car on a cross country road trip and this was a perfect stop on my way from Madison, Wisconsin to the Badlands. There are showers and a kitchen and the campsites are nicely spaced apart. I felt very safe and I think it's really cool how much care, time, and pride Brian puts into making his HipCamp great!

Best camp in SD
Uncle B! My man! What an awesome experience camping on your hobby farm. I can’t say enough great things about this hip camp destination! Right from the moment of booking, Brian had terrific and very quick communication. The gps coordinates on hip camp were accurate and got to the property without any issue. The host met us immediately upon arrival and was super helpful assisting us in picking our spot based on our camping needs. Also… we were provided with a s’mores kit, fresh laid eggs, and endless fresh seasonal vegetables all produced right on his property! Clean showers with hot water (obviously there are some bugs flying and crawling around as it is a camping experience on a farm) and clean bathroom, even with shampoo and soap provided. Nice little camp kitchen with dishwashing station and propane cook stoves if needed. The entire property was well kept, well lit, and well marked. This was absolutely my favorite Hipcamp spot in South Dakota. Added bonus, when we were there there were a bunch of adorable puppies to interact with too. Can’t say enough about the amazing host and the endless personal touches to make the property and experience more fun.

Unforgettable experience
Brian is an amazing host, super considerate and generous, and he has worked hard to make his charming property as welcoming as can be. Very clean showers and bathrooms. Brian shared abundant garden produce and even s'more fixings. Chickens, turkeys, and peacocks roaming freely add an exotic air to the whole experience. We were there on a Saturday, which meant movie night, and his popcorn is to die for. Looking forward to our next stay!

Chickens, turkeys and the Eagles!
A great place to get away. Very peaceful. We camped near the barn and got to enjoy watching the chickens, guineas, turkeys and peacocks as they wandered around our campsite. There were puppies and kittens too!
Brian was a great host. He brought us fresh eggs and produce from his garden, and a s'mores kit. He shows movies on the wall of his house with fresh theater quality popcorn. The night we were there, we watched an Eagles concert.
We definitely enjoyed our time there and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to relax, watch the flocks, see great sunsets and brilliant stars.

We enjoyed our stay ! Brian was very accommodating, he even gave us veggies, fresh free range eggs, dog treats and s’mores ingredients.
We woke up to a beautiful sunrise and got to see turkeys, peacocks and lots of farm animals.

Camping with animals & a great host
Best hip camp I’ve stayed at so far! Spent the night with my girlfriend and arrived after dark there were clear paths and lights and Brian came down to great us and gift us with a basket full of veggies from his garden and s’mores fixings! The showers/bathrooms were impressive and perfect for camping. He was so kind, generous, and respectful. He even showed us a litter of puppies his dogs just had. Amazing. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

Uncle B’s, our favorite stop In SD.
Brian is an amazing host. He greeted us at 9 PM with a s’mores kit and offerings of wood and water. In the morning brought us fresh eggs and a basket of fresh vegetables from his garden. His camping setup is fantastic and all built by Brian. Wish we could have stayed longer. Left the next day, after playing with his brood of newborn puppies, with wonderful suggestions of local places to check out along our way. (Stops not in our guide books).. we will gladly return.

Great experience.
It was my first experience camping outside a GS camp. I found the area extremely well kept and the bathrooms were clean and had hot water. Brian was very nice, gave us marshmallows and help us make a fire. We had good s’mores. He also was kind offering eggs and fresh vegetables straight from his garden. We did not have any cooking stuff and he offered some of his. Great experience.

Fantastic camping!
Uncle B is a generous and gracious host. Great tent camping for me and my 3-1/2 year old. He asked “just one night?” Wanting to stay longer. We were lucky to meet some puppies and treated to some fresh produce from the garden. Not sure if we or the chickens woke up first. The facilities are rustically great! Hot running water for a shower and dish cleanup is always a big plus.

Great place to camp with dog
Our family had an excellent time. We are a family of 6 with 1 dog. This place was perfect for everyone. It was great for our dog to be able to go off leash. There is enough space that if you don’t like dogs they won’t bother you. Excellent washrooms and shower facilities.
Younger kids loved seeing the puppies and there was an outdoor screen to watch movies.
Large field to play catch and other games. Small hiking trail.

Better than state parks!
Our favorite sites at the state parks were booked so we decided to give Uncle B’s a chance. We had an absolutely fantastic experience! Brian is an extremely generous and accommodating host. The site has all of the amenities of any state park but with much nicer bathrooms. It’s very apparent how much passion goes into this place and I am looking forward to many return visits.
