Great area to camp, the pond was beautiful. The outhouse was very clean. The host were very kind. We stayed here due to it being near Conagree NP.

Great view of small pond
Loved my time at the pond, bringing my trailer for the weekend. Outhouse was immaculate! View of pond and trees was lovely and private. Hosts very accessible and accommodating. Loved my time in nature and hearing the frogs and birds into the night., Thanks Dargan!

5 Star!
When we first arrive, we noticed that we had a flat tire on our pop-up camper. Hundreds of miles away from our home. We absolutely did not know what to do!! Dargan and her husband came down to the campsite and evaluate how they can help. Her husband left in the middle of the night to go get us a new tire and came to our rescue!! Dargan and her husband are absolutely Ginuwine people and I would recommend this place to anybody!

Great spot! Dargan was vey accommodating and easy to communicate with. The compostable toilet is extremely clean and the kindling and extra firewood is a nice touch. I look forward to coming back to Pipers Pond.

Perfect, tranquil camp spot.
This spot was recommended by a fellow overlander. Perfect area for a RTT. We were prompted greeted by Piper, super happy and loving dog. The two camp sites are really nice, both overlook a pond. We fed the fish, it was fun, bring the term “fish frenzy” to a whole next level. Ronnie came down and said hello, good guy. The property does have road noise, but is super private and location wise, it is a perfect halfway stop between Charlotte and Savannah coastal area. I do want to mention the super clean porta john building A+++++++

Site 2 - Under the Trees
What a great place! This was our first Hipcamp experience and it couldn't have been a nicer introduction. Each of the campsites is lovely and they have been situated in a way that gives each a sense of privacy even if they are both occupied. The outhouse is as pleasant as other people have mentioned. Obviously a lot of thought and care has gone into making this a great place to camp. It is true that you can hear the sound of traffic on the road but although I am usually very sensitive to that, this place is so peaceful and private feeling that it never bothered me. I would love to come back some time and enjoy this lovely place again.

It's pretty close to some roads but even though you can hear the passing traffic, it's surprisingly peaceful. What a great little camping spot. Everything was convenient. The out house, the fire wood, the clean camping spots, all examples of the care taken of the property. Not only will I go back, but I plan on making it a regular thing.

Hang out at the pond.
Dargan was super responsive to our questions prior to our arrival and even was able to help our group with a special accommodation. The property was very clean. The sites l on a nice small pond with access to a paddle boat and a kayak. The out house was very clean. There was even a garden hose and an extension cord for us to use as needed.
There was a little road noise from the nearby roadway, but it wasn’t horrible. Site is close to town if you need to run and get some warm, dry clothes because your son tipped over the kayak.
Piper the dog was very friendly. She visited the site a few times over a couple days to say hi, but would leave if you told her to go home. Over all a great weekend. We will definitely be back to this site again.

A Thing of Beauty
The clear view of the stars and being right by the pond makes this site a thing of beauty. There is a firepit, seating area, trash can, and picnic table at Site Two. (They also have a firepit at Site One.) They even provide wood, AND someone had already set up the firepit for me. It was so nice to have access to a toilet and the hose by Site One. It was all of the joys of being outdoors but with most of the chores (gathering firewood, having to dig a hole for the toilet, etc.) out of the way.
You can swim in the pond, which was fun. I hit some snags with my trip that were unrelated to this camping site, and Dargan’s flexibility regarding my arrival time was a huge relief. I hope to be back. Thanks, Dargan, for being such a good host!!

Camp near Congaree National Park
A wonderful place to camp! Close to Congaree National Park. Amazing wildlife, super safe, good camp sites, and very clean composting toilet. Easy for any vehicle to access and easy to find location. I was there during hunting season (I think?) SO there were several rounds of shots fired in an adjacent lot (not nearby) which were surprising at first. No noise at night though it is just off a s road. I would absolutely stay here again. The hosts are very kind and wonderful and the property is gorgeous and in great condition.

Either site is great; unless you want to hang hammocks then choose site 2. When I stayed there I was the only one there which was really nice, I might even suggest people who want full privacy to buy out both sites. The campsite is very close to Congaree National Park, only 25 mins away. The owners are lovely people.

Wonderful location to camp , has everything you need and just a beautiful experience . Me and the fiancé rode our motorcycle and camped for the night with a perfect view of the night sky . Outhouse was completely stocked with toiletries and sites were very well kept . We intend to be back soon !

Nice quiet spot next to a small pond. very thoughtful host to have a table and chairs set up, nice fire pit with cooking apparatus, clean outhouse and water/ electric hookups.
She also supplied plenty of firewood. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful time camping in our van on Dargan and her husband's beautiful property. It was well maintained with a cute pond and an accessible kayak, a well constructed fire pit with fire wood provided and a very clean and cute outhouse!

Camping at the Pond was so peaceful
This experience was amazing! The grounds were well maintained, clean, the owners were very nice. My family needed a getaway that was safe, peaceful, and beautiful and Camping at the Pond was a perfect solution.
It's also only about 20 minutes from Congaree National Park which was a lot of fun to explore.

Easy, comfortable camping!
We absolutely loved camping on this site!! The sites are large with a good amount of space between them. The fire pit was perfect and I was glad that there was firewood available, too! We appreciated being able to use the canoe on site and easy access to potable water. I would definitely recommend staying here and just day tripping into Congaree. Dargan was so kind and friendly to work with and we can’t wait to come back!

Dargen and her husband have an awesome property that was perfect for what we wanted from an overnight camping trip. The sites they had were spaced out enough that you felt like you had enough privacy, and the amenities like the fire pit with grill attachment, the outhouse, the extension power cord and hose that you can even turn into a shower was really amazing. As hosts, they were super communicative, and we really liked that they came over to greet us right away, so we felt welcome right away. We will definitely be coming back soon.

Dargan's site is a true oasis of peace, its a wonderful spot by the pond. They've done everything to make sure you have what you need. The composting toilet is spotless. The fish, ducks and Piper the dog are a delight. Wonderful place close to Congaree.

Piper's pond was perfect. We drove down from outside Charlotte for a quick overnight camp. We stayed at campsite 1. The site was exactly as pictured. The outhouse was spotless. The property was beautiful and we were very comfortable. Would absolutely recommend!!

Great campsite! Peaceful along the pond with an open sky to stargaze. Amenities like water, electricity, and an awesome outhouse! We were also greeted by the lovely Piper, host’s Aussiedoodle, who is super friendly. Hosts were also great to chat with and get to know. Highly recommended staying here if you are in the area!

Awesome and well maintained.
This a really nice Hipcamp to stay at. Only 20 mins from Congaree NP. The pond and grounds have been built really well with thoughtful intention. We camped on site 1 with our casita trailer. No issues getting in and out. There is a little slope on the site but had not trouble leveling. The pond is very pretty, my kids really loved kayaking in it. We had the place to ourselves, but the sites are spread enough apart that you can still feel secluded. Definitely recommend this one.

One of the best Hip Camps
What a lovely place to camp! The pond and forested area were nice. It was quiet, but easy to get to.
The campfire rings, wooden chairs, picnic take, and compost toilet were really nice to have.
We were greeted by a friendly dog named Pipper. We also met some neighbors on horses and the owner (the next morning).
It was a great location to visit Congaree National Park.
We would have loved to stay more than 1 night! Hopefully next time.

Very beautiful location overlooking their large pond, friendly people, access to potable water / electric & they even left a bundle of firewood. Top 5 private campsites I have stayed at. Highly recommend!
