Un site enchanteur!
Un site enchanteur agrémenté par la vue et le son de l’écoulement de l’eau des rapides de la rivière Chateauguay.
L’accueil de Johanne et Réal est chaleureux. Le lieu est splendide, tranquille et bien aménagé avec pelouse, fleurs, et grands arbres. Chacun des sites est aménagé avec tables, fauteuils de parterre et électricité. La vue sur la rivière est reposante.
Je vous le recommande pour un temps des ressourcement inoubliable.
Johanne et Réal se sont même révélé flexibles sur l’heure de notre départ.

The WOW Site!
We are Maxime and Clodie, Martin friends, he took care of the reservation for us for the labor day weekend, we are avid campers and nature lovers and are so grateful to have discovered this place, we have been told about it for months and could not wait to come, we are so satisfied the place is stunning and the owners Real and Johanne so much attentive to everyones needs, when Real saw that I admire birds he offered to lend a Kayak so I could go explore around his Island, just a wonderful stay for us even if we got rain one day.

Our VIP Hipcamp
Just the best place for privacy and everything you could ask for, our 3 dogs just jump out as soon as we pull in, always greeted by Real and Johanne, we spend another 3 days weekend with some friend, the place is always immaculate! Great set-up a private beach, white sand, and a very large fire place where we can tell story as late as we like, they only have one rule! RESPECT witch work great for us

Over 3500 hundred SqFt !
This site is their largest with a 30 amp circuit so no issue with your AC, what surprise us in a nice way is the fact that the only have 4 site and could easily have 3 time that, so even if they were design all in a row to socialize or in our case to rent all 4 site and have a nice get together with family and friends the place feels so private and welcoming as we are close to all the common area, by the way so well taken care of! Grass freshly cut, the white sand beach comb, very nice pick nick table, dish table with a supply or fresh water, Real and Johanne are the best host! And do respect your privacy or will joint you around the huge fireplace if you invite them, this is definitely Paradise

My Second time in Paradise!
My 2nd time in Paradise I wanted to write this review! Martin invite us to join him at Paradis d’artiste! A 2 1/2 hours drive for us on July 22, and we could not wait to come back for labor day and now I ask to write my own review, This place is welcoming, private, nicely manicured with every thing we need, electricity, space, access to drinkable water, chairs everywhere, hammock, huge fire pit, close to the water with easy access water fall to massage your back, my wife and I just love this Paradise! The campsites were gorgeous! They had everything you could need and more (e.g., giant fire pit, clean porta-potty with running water, games on request, and even an electrical outlet! The sound of the mini waterfall on the bay was really relaxing to fall asleep to and the water was so clean. The campsites back on to the owner’s property so we got to meet them a few times and they were so lovely and accommodating :) Would highly recommend staying here!

Our favourite place 💕🏕
This is our third time staying here. Clearly we love it but it’s more than just a beautiful piece of property, it’s from the care of our hosts. Greeting you when you arrive with a tour of the property with all it’s beautiful history and landscaping they have done themselves, with pride to honour nature and all its beauty. Our lot was always clean, dog bowls waiting for our two dogs full of water, personal brochures with details of local attractions, local farmers and bakeries, then there’s the further details with full water jugs and a firewood cart waiting for you. Each day we enjoyed coffee by the river, our son Holt played on the beach, swam in the river, we kayaked, our dogs swam back and forth, and I even got to enjoy reading my book in the hammock. At night we enjoyed the fire under the stars, chatting and sharing stories with Real an Joanne. They always check in if we needed anything. I even forgot a salad bowl and they so generously shared theirs. It’s the little things, watching our son learn about gardening and taking care of landscaping from them to just truly feeling like family. There is no doubt we will be back and grateful to meet these amazing thoughtful, kindhearted people and call them our friends.

The Falls and Firepit
Paradise d’artistes lives up to the name and is a slice of paradise. A place which is a must see for those who enjoy camping and nature.
Camping adjacent to the falls, watching the herons play and sharing a glass of wine around the firepit with both Réal and Johanne will be a highlight of the summer.
The hosts went above and beyond to make sure every little detail was covered and that our stay was the most enjoyable possible.
A hidden treasure that needs to be shared with family and friends.
We will defiantly back to share the experience with others!

Camping on the river
We had an amazing time camping. We were lucky to enjoy a supper with Réal and Johanne who are very passionate about their beautiful location and happy to share this paradise with all of us. During the summer we had many campers from Paradis d'artistes come kayaking at Kayak Safari. They seemed to have so much fun, we just had to try camping here for ourselves. The scenery is so peaceful and lovely. We will defiantly go back soon.

Lovely water and a lovely couple.
Great spot right next to the water!
Highly recommend if you like to take a dip in the morning.
The hosts are lovely and will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable.
We would definitely go back again.
To know:
- There are four campsites all in a row. They are quite close to each other, so if you are looking for seclusion, this may not be the spot.
- We got eaten by bugs in the eve, make sure to pack long pants and long sleeves!

Happy camper in paradise
4 camping spots in true paradise, held by two kind and genuine humans. They will tell you they did not know anything about camping before hosting with this plateforme but I can tell you they know a lot about hospitality.
Their spot is a work of art around the river side, from the homemade gigantic communal fire pit to the perfectly placed rocks to go down the water and the white sand beach from where you can easily go paddle on the river, it truly is a peaceful artist’s paradise filled with creativity to make guests enjoy the place as much as possible. It is very clean and definitely well tought.
Real and Johanne are the most loveable, they will ask for one simple thing wich is respect, we simply hope all campers can make their experience hosting a great one because i tell you one thing, you’ll want to go back as soon as you leave, my heart is still in Dewittville and I can’t wait until next year to go sleep to the sound of the running river again 💛

Family Camping
This is our second time staying here and it was just as magical as the first time, we all said it felt like we had come home.
Staying at Paradis d’artistes with Rèal and Joanne truly make your stay feel like you are staying with family. From the time you pull in and their warm welcome, the great evening fireside chats to the sadness you feel when saying goodbye because you don’t want to leave because they treat you like family.
Truly love our adventures/ memories that we have been able to create.

This weekend we stayed at Paradis d'artistes, it was our first camping experience and we are glad we got there!Huge thanks to the hosts Réal and Johanne for creating such an amazing atmosphere,and helping us with everything along the way!The area is very well maintained,clean and beautiful.It’s also located right on the wonderful river,where you can fish,swim right by the waterfall and do some kayaking or just sit in a pleasant company around a huge fire pit(that was amazing,the biggest fire pit we ever saw!).We really enjoyed it, we not only had a great time, but also made new friends! Thanks again Réal and Johanne for making us felt like home,we will definitely come back again!

Awesome camping on river
Real and Johanne's place is absolutely lovely. It was perfect for our group which included children as young as 6. It would be perfect for anyone! The owners have made a great little beach at the river's edge. The bottom is a flat concrete sheet from the 190 year old mill so you can easily walk out. They have thought of everything. There are aluminum chairs so you can sit in the water and enjoy a beer or cooler. The port-a-potty is the cleanest I have ever seen. The fire pit is gorgeous and you don't have to worry about anyone falling in. You can SUP or kayak up the river. I have already booked for next year!

Un très bel endroit pour faire du camping, l'ensemble des commodités nécessaire sont présentes et le terrain est très bien aménagé. Vraiment un emplacement idéal pour camper pour quiconque souhaitant découvrir la région. Les propriétaires Johanne et Réal sont également très gentils et accueillants.
A very nice place to camp, all the necessary amenities are present and the site is very well laid out. Really a great place to camp for anyone wishing to discover the area. The owners Johanne and Réal are also very nice and welcoming.

We visited Paradis D’artistes for the second time recently and had a magical time. We brought friends with us, and we all agreed that Réal and Johanne were wonderful hosts. They have the perfect balance of being welcoming & friendly, while also remaining respectful of the privacy and personal time of their guests. They openly invite you to their beautiful property and are genuine in everything they do.
The riverfront #1 has a beautiful view of the water, the sound of the falls is a constant comfort and the swimming spot is like no other. We saw endless stars and chatted by the fire with other campers. Great amenities provided in a thoughtful way; I know they care because many improvements and advances have been made since last year - when I already thought it was awesome!

Fabulous camping beside a river
I can not decide where to start to describe how wonderful our stay was. The campsites are all lovely. There is a common beach area that Real and Joanne have created at the river's edge. The young children in the group played there literally for 10 hours each day. There is the remains of a dam for the almost 200 year-old mill so there is not a sharp drop off but a shallow smooth rock bottom. The owners have thought of everything. There are aluminum chairs to sit in the river and get your feet wet as you watch the kids. The port-a-potty is kept so clean it is no hardship to use. The huge firepit is beautiful and you don't have to worry about kids falling into the fire. Last but not least Real and Joanne are wonderful hosts. We arrived later than expected and had to set up tents in the dark. Real got a huge spot light to help us. It is very clear that they love meeting people and sharing their beautiful spot with others. I cannot recommend enough!

Book a day more than you would!
What a fantastic location! Peace and tranquility by the falls. The soothing sound of the gushing water will lull you to sleep at night for a truly restfull experience. The host Real & Johanne are some of the nicest people we have ever met. They took great care to make sure everyone was safe and not missing anything. Real even tried 😉 to help set up the tent! Prime location, do not cheat yourself, book ample time to enjoy.

Wow! What a paradise. Woke up this morning on our last day feeling like I never wanted to leave. This is truly a gem. The river is fun to swim and cool off by day and will lull you to sleep by night. I have been camping all across the United States and Canada and this is by far my most memorable and special place. The hosts prove that attention to detail is important. And they will treat you like royalty…and like a family member if you so desire. 😊
