Camping with alpacas!
Karenâs place was awesome! She was great communicating the morning of and made things very easy for us. We got there and got introduced to the dogs and alpacas right away which we were really looking forward to! She had plenty of spare firewood which really came in handy. Excited to camp there again one day!

I absolutely loved the site!
The hostess went out of her way to make my gf and I comfortable.
She even helped us build our tent.
All in all, it was an amazing experience.
Can't wait to go back!

We loved it!!!!!
We had a wonderful time at Pine Valley! Karen is a great host, she introduced us to her alpaca herd, answered all of our questions and just made the overall experience very memorable. Her spot is PERFECT; both private and secure, plenty of firewood, excellent fire pit, with chairs waiting for us and even a picnic table! We can't wait to stay here again..this is the example that other hosts should follow. Absolutely exceeded our expectations. It's a quick drive to Rickett's Glen State Park without the hassles of a crowded campground. Don't forget to check out the alpaca store. Thank you Karen!!!!

Wonderful camping on a real farm!
My daughter and I stayed overnight and had a wonderful time. The host, Karen, was very nice and accommodating, showing us all the animals and even taking out a number of alpaca's that my daughter and I walked; they are delightful! Chickens, dogs, cats, etc. abound with the campsite area 100 meters from the host's house striking a balance between privacy and safety. Keep in mind this is a real working farm: there is a watch/guard dog that will bark when it hears potential intruders and a rooster that crowed a few times in the morning, but this added to our sense of safety and authenticity. PLENTY of firewood around, with a large fire ring, comfortable chairs and a table to place your food or equipment on. Highly recommend versus staying at Ricketts Glen park itself with campsites so close together and the resultant noise and lack of privacy with so many other campers. My daughter is already talking about when we can come back!

Highly recommend! Best time!
I had the most incredible experience at Pine Valley. I was looking for a place to camp after the trails at Ricketts Glen and I am sooo happy I came across Karen's beautiful farm here on HipCamp!
Karen is wonderful. She made me feel so comfortable and welcome. I had so much fun when she showed me around the alpaca barn and I even got to walk one on a leash! The coolest experience! I also loved seeing her beautiful fiber creations.
The farm is quiet and remote enough yet close to town so that I could easily find a place for dinner and be back just in time to start a fire and gaze at the stars. I will definitely be back!! Thank you, Karen!

Excellent Stay
Pine Valley was amazing! Super clean and spacious, excellent and knowledgeable hostess. The alpacas added a unique touch to the experience- a great place to take the family camping.
