We love Barb's little slice of heaven! The river is so relaxing and the family really enjoyed using the kayak and paddleboard! Our stay was wonderful and we will be returning!

No privacy, loud surroundings
The river and surrounding area are beautiful but it felt like camping in a neighborhood and in someone’s backyard - little to no privacy.
The owners weren’t home and so their dogs were barking for the first four hours we were there… kept my partner and I awake when we were trying to sleep. They were quite loud and relentless. Can also hear the road and other peoples homes quite loudly.
It would be a great gathering spot if you rented the whole venue but unfortunately we left not even feeling like we had camped and had time away from people.

Camping w/ friends along the river
Great site next to the river! It was quiet and peaceful. The host checked in with us and was helpful, but also left us to do our own thing and enjoy the site.

Great views but the site needs work
Our stay was okay. When we first got to the “camping area” the sites weren’t marked so we didn’t know where to go. And through process of elimination, we found our site (site #2). However we had to walk through site #1 to get to our site making it awkward for our fellow campers that were occupying site #1.
After that, our stay was pleasant. The site was clean. However I really wish there was a water source. It’s extremely cumbersome to not have any source of water to wash our hands or whatnot.

Barb greeted us upon our arrival and informed us of an awesome hike nearby. She also had the paddleboard, kayak and crawfish trap available for our kids to use. Beautiful spot right on the water!

Great views and relaxing time!!
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing time camping right next to the Siletz River with great mountain views. It was nice being able to use the paddle board and kayak too. The river current can be a little strong, so thanks to the host, Barb, it's best to go upstream first, which takes a little strength to paddle, and then relax going back down.

Not private, but a beautiful view
Overall, it was a beautiful location but not as private or quiet as we prefer. We could hear every word of conversation from the campers next to us and in fact had to walk through their camp to get to the parking spot and porto. The host, while friendly, was in view of our campsite at all times. The neighbors across the river were quite loud with dogs barking constantly, power tools running, and engines revving late into the night.
This spot would be great if you were reserving both spots for a larger party.
We loved the rocker chairs and hammock - those were nice touches.

Beautiful river to sit by and stare at the sunset. My dogs loved poking around the riverbed and Barb was very accommodating of them. The neighbors’ property is nearby and no fence separates it, so make sure dogs are leashed.

Peaceful oasis on the river
We loved staying at Barbs camping site. The river and mountain view was the best part of staying here. Short distance to Lincoln City as well. Barb was a great host. Very welcoming and helpful. Next time we are in the area I would definitely come back! Thanks Barb for your generous hospitality.

Great View! Nice amenities!
Loved camping here right next to the Siletz River. We are on a long roadtrip and had to find a place to camp for a night. Barb is an amazing host and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Her directions were super clear, she provided wifi and the port-a-potty was very clean. We had a lovely fire the night we got in and she even had a kayak and paddleboard available for us to use the next day if we wanted. I would definitely recommend camping at this location. Site 1 - Tranquility on the Siletz River
This is a truly beautiful spot on the river. Very relaxing. Our highlight was seeing four river otters play and talk to each other while floating by. My husband took the SUP board out and paddled up the river a ways. This Hipcamp is a grassy lot surrounded by other lots with houses on them. This did not take away from the experience. We will return when coming through the area.

River gazing on the Siletz
Barb has created a lovely spot on the lazy Siletz River. The river itself is wonderful to observe for wildlife. I caught the shift in weather from the last bit of warm weather to true autumn but it was still bright and sunny.
Barb and her co-host are welcoming and helpful - they make an RV available to campers for the bathroom and dishes which I really appreciated. I was camping alone so it was nice to have those resources. They were helpful and gave me lots of info about the area.
I liked that Barb's spot is for tents only with only two sites. They are not private or screened from each other - it's more of a large lawn on the riverbank that's organized into two sections, each with its own picnic table and fire pit but there is plenty of space between the sites. If you are looking for solitude, this isn't the spot...this is a busy river on weekends there are more RVs and houses around than natural landscape. Still, it was an easy and pleasant stay and quite peaceful in the mornings.

Wow, what a great little spot along the river! The experience was cozy, and waking up to the morning fog along the river was majestic! We were very happy with our host too, they were great at communicating amd wanted to be sure we were all taken care of. Bonus points for having a bathroom available and a cute little kitty to join us! Would come visit again!

Incredible host etiquette!
I didn't actually get to camp out here because a hefty wind and rain storm was pummeling the area, but I cannot speak highly enough about how friendly, responsive, and kind Barb was in her communications with me. Because having an amazing host is a priority for me, I will definitely plan to stay here ain the future when my travel plans next take me through the area.

It was nice to be near the river, but it was a little less private than we anticipated. There was a group camping in the site right next to us, and another group on the other side of us, who seemed to not know where they were supposed to be and one of them ended up camping right next to our site with her dog, which was a little problematic.

We loved being by the river and getting to experience the Siletz river culture. We had more than enough space and it was tranquil, especially in the mornings with the fog over the water.

I wasn't able to go camping here myself because i got sick, but my friends did and said they had a great time! They were able to enjoy the nice weather and play in the river, and they said it was great having access to the water toys they had available!

Beautiful spot along iconic river
We had such a wonderful stay here and look forward to coming back! Barb and Roger are amazing hosts and their property is along a beautiful stretch of the Siletz river. The campsites are located next to the river, there are nice fire pits and picnic tables, there was plenty of space for our large canvas tent, it was really nice to have access to a bathroom, electrical for charging phones, and running water for washing hands, and there was lots of space for our kids to run around. We had a blast and will definitely come back again!
