Relaxing getaway!
We had a great time at Tamara and Stephen’s place. We did yoga under a canopy of birch, listened to the river and the salmon splashing, walked a mossy trail, and star gazed. The campsites are all lovely. We had their yummy breakfast burrito.

Camping with Dogs
Tamara and Stephen's property is beautiful and secluded. Our family loved the layout, firewood available onsite, farm fresh eggs and the compost toilets were great too. The creek had lots of Salmon jumping, wish we would have brought poles but now we have something to look forward to next time. The trip was short but relaxing and we plan on visiting again!

Tamara and Stephen are the best hosts! Our visit was short, but they were so welcoming and made sure we were really comfortable at the Treebeard site. Their land is such a treasure, it's the perfect place to connect with the trees and find some calm. Thank you both again for an amazing stay!

This site is special. Tucked away next to a fish hatchery, you immediately feel the positive energy this place gives. We will be back, next time with fishing poles!

Absolutely beautiful area with lots of privacy. The camp grounds are a good size and come with a fire pit and picnic tables. The nearby trees provide lots of shade. Overall, really wonderful place to stay - will definitely be back

Maidenhair Meadow
We recently stayed with Tamara and Stephen on their beautiful land here.
They are wonderful hosts. Pre-order the breakfast burrito at least once; it's awesome! The sites are well placed, large and magical. Maidenhair Meadow is right next to the river and we loved falling asleep with the sound of water flowing. We also stayed at the Clover Field site and loved it. The canopy of trees surrounding the picnic table and fire pit made it feel very safe and private. This site is spacious. What a great place. Highly recommend staying here and one last thing; buy their freshly laid eggs!

The campsite was beautiful, lots of privacy and so well thought out with pretty touches like homemade wooden sights and strung lights.
The hosts went out of their way to accommodate our needs and we also had a tour of their backyard to meet their chickens and friendly dog. We would love to stay again and highly recommend their campsites.

Secluded and relaxing
This is a great area to tent. It was secluded and quiet. The creek is great and very relaxing. Host was very nice and you can tell they really want you to enjoy the property as much as they do. I can't name anything I disliked about this place!

Mossy forest fairy land!
Old growth forest with moss and tons of mature trees. Feels like a fairytale. Nice big sites with cute benches and places to sit by the river. Best view for morning coffee.
The waterfall was just a trickle this time of year but still very calming to sleep by the sound of the river and trickle from the waterfall. Lots of stars at night!
I recommend bringing a hatchet or axe for the firewood. Everything is a bit damp and the wood pieces are thick, so it was hard to get them to burn.
It's nice that this place is between portland and the coast. We spent a couple hours at the beach before heading to our campsite.
I appreciated that the host let us drive our suv to unload our gear so that we didn't have to haul everything from the parking area. Host does provide carts though if needed.
Nice choice if you would like a quick getaway from the city and to camp with a little elbow room from your neighbors.

Wow! This place is all you could wish for in a Hipcamp and more! The land is stunning, the sites are spacious and peaceful, and the hosts are friendly and helpful. Stephen greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of the beautiful property. We settled into our spot and enjoyed an evening relaxing and taking in the nature. We even got to hear an elk bugling! Our only regret was not booking two nights!

My new favorite place ✨
Magical and peaceful stay! Tamara and Stephen were gracious hosts. The land speaks for itself, reminding you how sacred these spaces are. Close to Nehalem and Manzanita, there are many things to do around the area and many mossy tree trunks to rest your head. The sound of the river lulled me to sleep each night. This space provided a much needed recharge for my system.

Wowww!!! What an awesome first hip camp experience…. The waterfall site was beautiful with amazing big trees and a nice big picnic table and just steps away from a lovely river and waterfall (I’m excited to come back in the spring and see what it looks like then in all its glory!). We met Stephen upon check-in who was kind and hospitable. The compost toilet was a little walk from the site and we were happy to have it available! Also grateful for the comfy Adirondack-style chairs that they had along the riverbank, spent much of the time reading and drawing and bird-watching— so much fun to watch the Osprey and kingfishers and dippers hunt. Thank you!

What a beautiful place! Our campsite was private and spacious, it was also near enough to the waterfall that we could hear it along with the peaceful sounds of the river. Tamara and Stephen were very welcoming and we got a tour of the site when we arrived so we would know how to get around. Tamara pointed out opportunities for onsite foraging, as well as some of the native plants. The land definitely felt well cared for and it was a magical stay in amongst the old growth trees.

We had a great time camping here the property is beautiful right along the river. We thought this was the perfect location to get away and still be near the beach.
