Site 1 - Buckeye Lake Winery
We camped in the site closest to the winery on the left. Beautiful deep, wide, private, quiet and treesed site with a large picnic table. The owner, Tracy, stopped by to welcome us. We camped 2 nights and enjoyed dinner and drinks with amazing sunsets over Buckeye Lake. We are already planning our next long weekend there.

The camping ground itself is okay, but not much more. Grasland next to the parking lot, therefore pretty expensive. We paid $60 for 2 adults and a pet.

Site 4 - Buckeye Lake Winery
beautiful venue by the water to enjoy some wine. Everyone working there was SO nice and even though we came right as they were closing, they gave us some plastic cups for wine and let us sit on the deck. The camp site was pretty private with a picnic table and firepit.

Site #4 was great. I read previous reviews, and would agree the sites are not marked, and site 4 seems to be the larger site. Its also the closest to the winery and there is a nice path through the woods.

It wasn't what we were expecting... this was simply a nice, easy to drive to little secluded spot in the trees to have a very pleasant overnight night. Will definitely be back

Site 7 - Buckeye Lake Winery
Buckeye Lake Winery was just okay...the campsites were not marked so I couldn't find #7. I tried to reach the POC, left a voice message but never got a reply. I chose the spot that was easiest to access with my truck and travel trailer. It was overgrown, tree limbs and vegetation shrouding the entrance, I assumed because it was late April the spots just hadn't been managed yet. If it were cleaned up a little bit, mowed, and marked I would have felt more confident about my stay. Also, poison ivy, lots of it - I know there's not much that can be done about that since it's a native plant but just FYI if you have kids and dogs. I personally wouldn't stay again but if you want to be close to the lake and the winery it's perfect.

Site 7 - Buckeye Lake Winery
We ended up staying in site 4 instead of 7. Tucked back in the woods and plenty of space for our travel trailer. The other sites are a bit on the small side once you get the RV/trailer in it.
Winery is a short walk away. Ate there for dinner on Friday night and Brunch on Sunday morning. Brunch was really relaxing by the water after a weekend of fun.
We rented a boat from Buckeye Lake Boat Rental for 4 hours on Saturday. It was about a 10 min drive away.

The winery was adorable and we loved the live music and the food! We appreciated being able to use a kayak paddle made available by the host. There are mixed feelings because the site we had to choose was not cleaned up well. There was a round container that had a plastic bag with stuff and there was a HUGE pile of cardboard (mostly) and plastic trash right next to the site. We texted back and forth with Tracy about it and he apologized and said it was supposed to have been burned. This is hugely problematic in and of itself. We never met in person. The fire pit area was also not contained and seemed dangerous.

This is a great location. This is our second year to stay here for the Fourth of July. We love the Winery, easy for kayak launching. Great drink and food. They provide water to fill up but no utilities at site. Also they have tons of wild Blackberries that we picked, yum!

We absolutely loved pulling our camper up to this beautiful winery and staying for the night. We were hoping to get there early enough to enjoy a dinner at the winery but it was our maiden voyage and we had several hiccups with our new camper. Didn’t get there until after closing. Tracy, the owner, met us at the Gate and took us on our own private tour and gave us a much needed glass of wine. It was after dark so he gave us a great place to park the camper.
The winery sits right on the lake and it’s a beautiful view. Wish we had been there for sunset. Next time!
I would highly recommend staying at Buckeye lake winery! Oh…and the wine is delicious!

Host is friendly and accommodating to our requests. He responded quickly when we had questions. The winery is nice and had a relaxing atmosphere. We sampled the wine and sat out by the lake listening to live music. Would definitely go back again!

The music event we attended was spectacular. The service, food, and music was great. The camp sites were very poorly kept, only 2 of the 8 were even usable. The one we chose was littered with trash and burnt metal (we picked it up and put it in our trash can). The site was the perfect location for the even but but way over priced ($50 a night) for having no hookups, no fire pit, and covered in trash.

We really enjoyed camping at Buckeye Lake Winery. We have a camper which has solar panels on top of the roof so we needed a site where got full sun. The gentleman who greeted us upon arrival showed us around different camp sites which are all shaded but he agreed that we can camp at the open spot by the Winery. We setup our camp then after dinner went over to the winery. We enjoyed wine slushy and music. Also they had really awesome fireworks on Friday night. Our camp site was a perfect spot to view them. They also had a kayak launch area. We didn’t have to drive down anywhere to launch our kayak. There is a spigot on side of the building that we could pump water into the camper but if you have really long camper, it might be little difficult to do so. We will be back.

The. campsite was private and wooded and a short walk to the winery which had a bar with delicious cocktails, outdoor and indoor seating on the water and great food! The owner, Tracy is the owner of the winery and a very nice person. I would definitely return!

We just stayed a night at Buckeye Lake Winery on January 12th, so right in the middle of winter. My family and I were taking our camper out West and just wanted to have reliable campgrounds each night since it was winter, and we had a 1-year-old and dog with us. I knew the winery wouldn't be open but the owner, Tracy, was in great communication with us along the way. When we arrived, he poured us some of their wine and it was extremely good. To be honest, I was expecting it to be a sweet wine but he grows all his grapes in Napa and that shows 100% in the wine. We shared a few more glasses of wine with him as he showed us around the winery, even though they were closed! After purchasing a bottle of wine, we headed to the campground which had everything you'd need. I would definitely love to come back during the summer and enjoy an evening at the winery with a short walk back to your campground, maybe leaving the 1-year-old at home ;) Would recommend it for sure.
