The site was so beautiful! Kim had a fire pit with chairs ready, overlooking the ocean (with a fence barrier of course) it was so nice falling asleep to the sound of the bay and buoys bell. One of the best hipcamps I have stayed at!
The two sites are close-ish together (about the same distance as a established campground) so would be great for a group!

Incredible. Tented with my two sons, aged 8 and 10. Sweet little dog houses for pets, clear paths to each site, picnic areas and fire pits. Great setup, very clean and the view is absolutely stunning. The owner is wonderful. She introduced my boys to her bunnies and other animals on the property. It was quiet, private and everything was great. We very much enjoyed our two nights!

Absolutely beautiful spot to pitch a tent in all weather. Views are incredible, and Kim has made it a welcoming oasis. Everything you need to wait for the ferry or waste away the days soaking in the sun.
Road is a little bumpy in a Prius, but doable.

An unmatched view at an exceptional location. This spot was great for a wintertime camping trip. Kim is responsive and accommodating.
The farm road out to the site is neat and patrolled by curious horses. AWD or 4WD are a must for access in January.

It's a wonderful site and I had the whole area to myself, as it was starting to be off season when I arrived, and it was great. Driving slowly through the pasture with the horses was an experience in itself! They were very friendly and curious, just as Kim said. As I was leaving, and had to open and close two pasture gates, one was standing right in front preventing me from edging any closer with the car. I already knew this one would just love the opportunity to get out! I distracted her and carefully navigated through, but not until she had stuck her head into my window 'nosing' around. lol

Tent Site 2: swinging in the hammock with my dog underneath, next to a fire in the cauldron, over looking Bras D' Or lake, a full moon glowing—need I I say more? Solar shower and a clean outhouse nearby. A relaxing two night stay. I appreciate that Kim only has two campsites on her lovely property.
Kim responded quickly, directions were easy to follow. I definitely recommend Kim's place.

This spot is amazingly beautiful, we shouldn't share, but that wouldn't be nice to Kim, the ultra responsive host !
Awesome view, very clean - even the outhouse, trash emptied daily.
Issues were resolved in a timely manner, much appreciated.
Yes, the drive is bumpy to the campsite but I laughed all the way down!!! This place is animal friendly (dogs, cats, horses, chicken, goats...) and noises are to be expected - although, Kim does everything she can to keep it to a minimum.
All in all, you can't find a better place/rate for such lovely settings! But shhhh 🤫🥰😁

We loved camping on Kim’s land. She has done a really good job of providing two private spacious camp pitches with spectacular views.
The comfy chairs and hammocks were an added bonus.
If you get the opportunity Kim is really interesting to talk with and has plenty of excellent advice on what to see and do in the area.

Enjoyed the independence regarding booking, arrival and check-out. Clean, well maintained and unique setting. Instructions were clear and the site private, shaded, with a great sunset. Conveniently located near the North Sydney Ferry and Cabot Trail entry point. Thanks for sharing your space!

Beautiful spot atop a cliff overlooking the ocean. Nice and private with only two tent sites. Outhouse was clean and private. Great place to watch sunset. Kim was very friendly and had a variety of animals on her farm. She's also a very good source of information on things to do and see in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved it! If you want privacy, space, incredible coastal views, and an accessible and friendly host - then this is the spot!! It was fun to be around the horses and animals on the farm and nice to have different little areas in the site: campfire, tent, hammocks for lounging, cooking… Kim was easy to reach if we needed anything but mostly left us to our own devices. (If luxurious bathroom facilities are your priority, don’t book here. Kim has made the nicest outhouse experience of my life, but it is still an outhouse.) A great spot, would definitely book again!

Overall it was at it seems when you book it.
There was a bathroom and a shower and space for the tent.
But for campers who prefer to have an open space maybe i wouldn’t recommend since you are very close to the neighborhoods and you are surrounded by trees and bushes so at night time the bugs where not to our taste.
If you are somebody who doesnt mind insects and dont mind showering with a camping shower bag, then this is your place.
The view to the cliff is pretty nice and as described by the host same as the fire pit.
I would say the common table is more towards the Site 1 so we felt a little bit like we were invading their privacy.
Recommend if you choose the site 2 to bring your folding table for more convenience.

Nice private site. We booked both so it was only us there. View of ocean was lovely and the breeze for the hot days. Mosquitoes were really bad as soon as the sun went down so we couldn't even enjoy the campfire...it is July, so bugs are expected, but it was a lot because of all the tall grass.
Hammocks were a nice touch.

Large spacious sites with water view. Outhouse and shower were very well equipped. We quite appreciated the shower. Only drawback was the distance to the fresh water tap. Would recommend.

Nice late night stop. We had the place to ourselves, The host had been very responsive and gave us clear directions on how to navigate in the darkness as we planned to arrive for 10:30PM.

My wife and I stayed here for our final night of camping on Cape Breton. We could not have asked for a better campsite. It provided stunning views, privacy, a great tent site and cooking area, and an incredible sunset. The horses and goats on the property were a lot of fun to interact with, and very friendly too. Would recommend to anyone camping in this area. Our two dogs loved it as well.
