Patricia is a beautiful soul. I loved being on the land here. Sometimes there's barking dogs in the distance which can be a little bit annoying. But overall I really like it here and would definitely recommend it. Compost toilet is very clean and easily accessible which I like. It's nice having the chickens here ... I enjoy the farm atmosphere... It brings back good memories since my grandparents had a farm. Patricia is very easy to communicate with and very kind to help in any way that she can to make my stay comfortable while I'm here. I'm Very happy overall being here.

My husband and I loved staying at Mill Creek Spread! We arrived in the dark but everything was clearly marked and easy to navigate. We were greeted by her dog Vader (his bark is scary but fear not, he is the goodest boy) and loved making dinner under the stars and waking up to a magical forest. The only thing I would tell other campers is to be aware there a lots of dogs on the neighboring property that bark loudly. They did quiet down but it was very late when they did. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would stay again!

The whole atmosphere, and Patricia is very inviting and welcoming. The experience in all is a must-do!! Super convenient location, Reasonable Safe and the fact that the dog knew exactly where I was supposed to put my tent is amazing he's such a good Dog and will even come check on you every once in awhile!

I loved camping here! The skies were dark and great for star gazing. A really nice pine forest with plenty of space to setup camp. I was camping alone so I enjoyed the company of Vader the friendly dog coming every so often to check on me :)

Patricia was super willing to work with me and super friendly. I use Hipcamp sites exclusively instead of SniffSpots because I already am used to this app and they usually offer more of what I'm looking for. I just needed a large piece of land for an hour or two in the middle of the day for my dogs to run. (the outhouse was definitely a bonus!)
I specifically look for off-leash properties where there is nobody else currently camping. I always pay the full overnight charge even though I stay only an hour or so and she was willing to work with us on this. Vader 🐾 (her Mali/GSD) was super sweet and got along with my dogs without any problem, he was very very lovey!

Patricia has been the best host! Very kind, and super easy to work with! The accommodations have far exceeded my expectations! The camp is just what I was looking for. Off beaten path enough for some privacy, yet realistically close enough to civilization.

Patricia and Vader have been the best hosts I have come across!! Vader and my dog May, became instant best friends. And to say that Patricia has been extremely kind and accommodating , would be an understatement.
I'm seasonally traveling on a very strict budget, and this camp by far has exceeded my expectations! This camp will for sure be part of my yearly seasonal rotation.

This is such an amazing spot I decided to extend my stay a little! Secluded wood area, far enough off the beat and path that you don't have to worry about anything. Absolutely love it! And this will be probably end up being one of my go to campsites!

Trees are tight but our truck/pop up tent on the bed fit well. Lots of wildlife. Great eggs and inexpensive.

Had a great time here!
The place was amazing, and I really enjoyed my stay. When we arrived, we were greeted and guided in by Vader — an awesome, playful, and friendly dog! There were signs leading to the campsite, but he ran ahead the whole way like our personal guide. The property was beautiful, and Patricia was kind and very helpful. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone. I’m definitely coming back!

Vader was easily the best thing about this camp! He made us so happy and even slept with us all night (at least I think, he fell asleep near us and woke me up with some nose kisses since we were hammock camping 😂). He was one of the best trained dogs I’ve ever met. If you like dogs this is the place to be. My boyfriend even wanted to drive back after we left Wilmington to say goodbye to Vader again.
We haven’t tried the eggs we got yet but super excited to. Patricia gave easy instructions to follow and the area was very clean. Great area for hammock camping. The trees were marked and easily to follow - we got in super late.
You can hear a bit of car noise from the camp area, but it was very very minimal. Our low Toyota Corolla did give us a bit of a scare getting back there because one piece of wood was jutted up on the trail, but otherwise lower cars will be fine.

Patricia was a phenomenal host. It was easy to get to the camp spot and the instructions for using the power was set out for us to see with detailed pictures so you could see exactly what you needed it was fantastic. The bed was super comfortable. The dog Vader was super friendly he loved to come over and say hello. We had everything we needed and more. There were also a lot of chickens so it’s was very enjoyable to just sit outside the camper and watch them, She has a very lovely and large yard. I brought two toddlers with us and I’m really happy she didn’t mind them running around a bit. Patricia is the best!

Super cute RV a little less than an hour from the beach. Their dog is adorable and will become your best friend when you are there. Patricia is incredibly sweet and accommodating. Will be renting every-time we visit Wilmington!

Very quiet and private! Plenty of space to spread out! If there were people in the other camp sites the night I stayed I couldn't hear them, only the sounds of nature :-) Outhouse was clean, no smell from the composting toilet, bring your own handwashing setup and you're all set, host provides water a short trip from the camp! The way in was definitely a bit tight, take care if you're inexperienced with offroad driving, smaller car definitely helps, we got a Nissan rogue in just fine which is about 72 inches wide, anything much larger may have trouble. Was very nice having Vader at our camp occasionally, he's a very cool and sweet dog! Do come in slowly, he does like to run around the car so just keep an eye on where he is! Given it's in the middle of the woods, there are the native banana spiders who have webs up all around and are quite large, if you're not used to them just remember they won't leave their webs and won't hurt you, just leave them alone and they'll leave you alone :-)

5/5 stars for Vader. If you dont like dogs then dont waste his time with this site because he deserves all the love for the good work he does. He guided us out to our site, kept us company as we set up, and guided us out the next day when we were leaving. Truly one of the sweetest dogs I have ever encountered. The site itself is really nice for those who like to just pitch a tent and go rustic for a day. We went during the tropical storm, but the trails and camping space were sturdy enough that nothing flooded or got muddy. Do NOT disregard the tiny car warning, some tree gaps only have a space of about 6 1/4 feet. My Jeep Patriot fit fine but it was mirror to mirror in some gaps. The Host was extremely kind and the property is easy to find! Only about 30 minutes from Wrightsville Beach and there are 24/7 gas stations 5 minutes down the road if you are seeking a full bathroom. Highly recommend this place!

Perfect for what we needed, Patricia was accessible and pleasant and we didn't need anything. Vader was such an added bonus, our baby loved him and he greeted us every morning and escorted us around. Clean and safe, bed was comfortable, no complaints.

Had an amazing time at The Hollow! There is plenty of room to park, setup, and have a fire pit. Vader did an amazing job of leading us to our campsite. I would highly recommend this if you’re heading to the beach for the weekend and need a place to stay. Thank you Patricia (and Vader)!

We were met by the owner and her dog. The dog kept us company and escorted us out. lol in all seriousness, very quiet and peaceful. If you absolutely have to have wifi you better bring it. We were content in the quiet. We will be back

We loved the site! Our spot was in a nice, flat clearing in beautiful pine forest. We could hear all kinds of birds as we woke up. Patricia was very helpful and made sure we found the spot as we got there after dark. Great spot!
