Primitive, PLUS conveniences
Brandi was very helpful and friendly. She introduced herself, showed me to the campsite, and chatted a bit. There was a noise issue with another campsite, so I texted her about 11 pm, sure that it was too late and she would not see it. However, she texted back in minutes and had resolved the issue. Thank you!!!
There are a couple of portas, and a primitive 1 shower setup with LOTS of very hot water. There is also a dual sink on the side of the shower building. There's a very small picturesque pond. This is all the good stuff of primitive camping... PLUS some convenience. It's what I recall camping as a kid.
As for campsite #5, it is easily the most secluded and fit our needs perfectly. However, it should be noted that the drive that services it is at a 45ish and you'll need 4WD, new tires, and some driving skill to back up that thing. Otherwise, hike your stuff up the hill and park elsewhere. But nobody will see you up there, at all, EVER! It was easily big enough for our 3 2- man tents, plus had room for our canopy and a fire pit, with some room to walk around. If you need more accessibility, all the others are better for that.
No sites have power or any amenities. It's a cleared site, and that's it. I wish we had brought a foldup table for food prep, but we managed with cooler tops. All campsites are fairly level but some attention to orientation will be needed. No dangers that I saw, most trees are fairly young, not much hiking through the brush.
