Camp Medlow is for TENTS ONLY. No camper vans, caravans, RV's, or car rooftop tents are permitted. There is a 50m flat walk along a rustic trail to the campsite from the car park - so you'll need to carry your gear to where you'll set up your tent. Camp Medlow is located in Medlow Bath in the upper Blue Mountains, and is just 800m from Medlow Bath railway station, and only 8 minutes drive to Katoomba or 5 minutes drive to Blackheath - so is conveniently located close to all key attractions, like Scenic World, the Grand Canyon, Three Sisters, plus all the amazing bushwalks and abseiling and climbing locations that the upper Mountains is famous for. You can pitch up to two tents on the level and very secluded campsite where you'll have complete privacy in a fantastic bushland setting, which backs directly onto Blue Mountains National Park. The campsite is directly in the centre of 3 acres of natural open forest comprising many old tall Blue Mountains Ash eucalyptus trees, Banksias, Waratahs, and Wattle. The site is also home to Gang-gang and black Cockatoos, parrots, owls, magpies, spotted-tailed Quolls, possums, Eastern bent-wing bats, and wallabies. All cooking must be undertaken at the fire circle. NO COOKING AT THE PARKING AREA AT ALL. Cooking at the fire circle not only maintains basic fire safety, but protects the precious flora and fauna at the site, as well as adds to your own privacy. There is no water available at the property, so please bring your own. There are no toilets on the property so you must bring your own camp toilet that you take with you when you leave. Absolutely DO NOT dispose your human waste or toilet paper/wipes on the property. The closest 24x7 public toilets are at Medlow Bath Park on Railway Parade, which is only a short 10 minute walk. Perfect little bushland site

Camp Medlow is a great little spot. The campsite is well marked and kept clear for easy tent set up (the ground is solid though, so bring good pegs). And the cooking fire space worked a treat set upon a small rocky outcrop ledge. I spent a couple of nights there with my two sons (age 7 and 10) and they loved it. It suited us perfectly as a low-risk spot while we're getting a few camps under our belt. While only a short distance to civilisation, it definitely felt secluded enough to have the bush to ourselves. Highly recommend this site for beginners or anyone looking for a few nights without being too remote in the mountains.

Highly recommend, loved this spot. Close to town but feels remote. Impressive variety native plants growing around campsite. Magpie hung out in the morning, plenty of birdwatching.

I didn't know this was one person camping which wasn't on the Policy. The place wasn't comfortable for just one family. I disregard to stay there and owner refuse to refund me. I never go there any more and not referring any one. Thanks

Beautiful camp site, all to ourselves! Beautiful camp fire area, nice flat ground. Close to houses but doesn’t feel like it, you wouldn’t know if you didn’t drive past them on the way in. Would definitely stay again.

James was very attentive and helpful when we couldn’t find the directions. Good spot, only downside was a bit of noise from the highway and trains. Apart from that highly recommend.

It's a lovely spot close to walks and an easy drive to shops and restaurants in Katoomba or Blackheath. The highway is not far away, so we could hear it, including the noise from the close road construction. With the fire ban starting in October, we didn't have a campfire, which would have added to our stay. Thanks for having us.

Lovely spot. Was convenient to get to and within a comfortable distance of bush walks and the shops and still had you feeling like you were camping in the bush.

The area was great, closer to the suburbs then we expected but the camp site was great. Instructions on getting to the camp site we're helpful but more signage wouldn't hurt. The fire pit needed to be emptied when we got there as it was overflowing with coals.

close to blue mountains attraction

nice little site, right in nature but close to civilisation. there is some train noise especially the big freight trains which run nearby, but ok after about 10pm. just make sure you know its a 50m walk from the car to the site, ie you cant camp next to your vehicle

The site was really secluded in the bush, but a few things let it down. As it appeared to be on public land, (not sure how this is approved by local council, but it must be), I had a regular stream of locals walking their dogs past my parked car in the early evening, which was only 50m from the campsite. I didn't feel that comfortable having my car that close to foot traffic all night and felt uncomfortable cooking a meal there with people continually coming past. I was also surprised by the significant noise from both trains and highway traffic fairly late into the night. Overall, not very peaceful. Lastly, while the site was secluded, the actual camping space to set up a tent, had quite a few roots and dips in the ground that collected water easily on a rainy night. It was nice, but any campsite in any NSW Blue Mountains NP would have been a cheaper and quieter option.

Perfect spot for camping right near town. Very secluded, private and plenty of space. Good if you are going hiking on the surrounding trails in the Blue Mountains.

This place is genuinely one of the nicest single plot camping sites I’ve been at. The layout is perfect having the living area apart from the campfire and conversation area is such a nice trait. Such an awesome stay.

Great spot to camp with flat area and an area set up for a fire. Short walk from parking area. Peaceful bush location, lovely outlook and friendly magpies and kookaburras! Very convenient location, in Medlow Bath town and short drive to Katoomba - it is very close to houses, so a little noise in the evenings, people walking dogs in the area, etc. - campsite itself private.

A peaceful experience staying at Medlow Bath camp. Despite the wet weather, I had a nice stay and it seemed remote but clearly still very conveniently close to Blackheath and Katoomba. Highly recommended!

Awesome site! Feels secluded despite being a short drive into town. Heaps of space for a 4-person tent, ideal for two campers. The mist through the trees during our stay was especially magical. Short drive to great hikes.

This is a really beautiful, special, quiet site - somehow so close to Medlow Bath and so remote-feeling at once. Surrounded by native bush, with many honeyeaters and magpies. It’s very sheltered from the wind, and staying there in summer we woke to a huge sky full of stars. Would definitely come back.

A little trouble finding the spot but once we did it was great. Unfortunately, we did camp on a Saturday night and there was a local house party which had music blasting til 12:30. The spot itself was really nice and otherwise quiet. Tons of birds in the morning with chirps and calls

Beautiful site in very quiet, low key location. Just likea National Park campground only better as there is only one site so no neighbours or traffic . Toilet/ water/ rubbish drop off were all relatively close by in a nearby park so didn't cause any real inconvenience. Some highway/ train noise on one night which was unexpected. The campsite and parking areas weathered a torrential down pour very well with no mud. We enjoyed our time here - it was a great respite from the intense crowds along the walks.

Camp Medlow was a gem! Close to everything, but far enough away that you can escape the hustle and bustle of the thoroughfares. The campground is set amongst beautiful native flora teeming with a menagerie of bird life. Would gladly stay here again.

Lovely little spot tucked in just behind Medlow Bath. It's a walk in campsite so make sure you have a lightweight gear, even though tent site is just a short walk from your car. Sunsets are amazing, and lots of all kinds of birds buzzing around.

A beautiful spot completely surrounded by bush, private and peaceful with lots of wildflowers and a diversity of birds. Need to be self-sufficient, it was just what we're looking for. We'd love to come back some day.
