Overall I was disappointed and I would not come back. There was no available water, no working toilets or porta potty. I reach out about the water and no response…. No shade, I had to park on field of dust and mud . My two pups loved it

Finding Haven’s Ranch was a breeze and so was navigating the property. We mainly only came onto the property to rest during our work travels but enjoyed it while we could. Our 3-year old was very excited to be able to watch some of the work happening with the heavy machinery when we were there on a Friday afternoon. Our dogs appreciated being able to run around off leash after extended time in the car.

We stayed here as our last stop of a 2 week camping trip. This is a good stopping point after leaving SLC. We were early in the season ( temps below freezing overnight)so the water and bathrooms were not yet functional. The sites were as described, it was quiet and the Long Horn cows were great company!

We stayed here last year on our northern NV eastern OR trip and stayed again this year on our Utah southern NV trip. We like this place. The sky views were just as good as last year.

Overall, my stay was fine and I understand that it's an operating ranch, but there was welding after sunset on Friday and early morning Saturday which wasn't how I wanted to wake up. Also my dog has never eaten as much cow dung in her life, but the views were nice and it was quiet the rest of the night. Love the men's room wallpaper!

We originally booked our stay for 2 nights but were stranded the 1st night getting in due to a huge crash on the highway and a fire a couple of miles after that. We were re-routed on our GPS to a 15 mile unpaved road in the dark & decided to turn around & sit tight & sleep on the side of the road closer to the highway. All of this was communicated to the host & he was helpful and understanding. We cancelled our reservation & waited until morning until all was clear. we contacted host again to let him know that we would still like to come and booked ANOTHER reservation for a single night.
Upon arriving we were deeply astonished by the amount of junk (old mattresses, trash, broken down equipment and parts everywhere) on ALL sides of the ‘ranch’ (i say this loosely) I mean, it really felt more like a JUNKYARD/ HOARDER space than anything.
We were still optimistic when instructed to drive past all of that & into the camping area
We proceeded down & found a spot by the grass but were sprayed down by sprinklers & had to move. we moved out by the pasture area (cow patties everywhere on the grounds) & thought all was well until we stepped into our van and realized that 100’s of flies had invaded our space. We spent the rest of our stay battling flies (gross) and trying to drown out the noise of heavy machinery running all day (so loud!)
We are now battling trying to get our original refund returned (host has denied), and are not getting much help from Hipcamp.

Open space with nice facilities and a shaded lawn with a pond. Cast iron fire pits and covered common areas. Large, eclectic, well lit restrooms.
Loved seeing the longhorn cattle and listening to the coyotes sing us to sleep.
Combining all of this with the ability to bring our dogs made this a perfect pit stop as we travel across Nevada.
My only regret is that we only stayed one night!
I would love to come back with a large group and enjoy all the detail Warren and Emily have put into their facilities.
Instructions to get in were easy and had no problem arriving in the dark.
Would definitely recommend if you are coming through Winnemucca!

What I enjoyed about the property is that it gave us the necessities we needed to continue our road trip. It was safe, quiet, and had clean restrooms. Unfortunately we didn't have neighbors to share the camp with. Maybe next time.

It was fine because I was the only one there. It’s basically a large grassy area for setting up tents. Not much privacy at all. But like I said, I had the entire place to myself. Cute, clean bathroom, but a shower would be nice for the price. Or how about a 110V outlet? $56.18 is too expensive.

My second stay here--I arrived just as a storm rolled in. Waved "hello," waited out the rain in the car, and set up my tent in my favorite spot to catch the sunset. A few longhorn were there this time, and I got some good pictures from a respectful distance. The quiet and relative solitude here is far more enjoyable, in my opinion, than crowded, loud campgrounds of the usual sort. If you enjoy an unusual, colorful and somewhat rustic (although there is a real bathroom here: luxury!) surroundings, this is your kind of place.

We loved the views of the mountains as the sun went down at night and the vistas as the sun came up in the morning. This was fine for the one night we were there, but set your expectation for lots of cow pies, old equipment and vehicles everywhere. The adjacent wedding venue had a stagnant pond and no water in the rock bed stream. Not a deal breaker, just a reality check.

I really enjoyed camping here. It was quiet except for the sounds of birds, a coyote, and faint traffic noise, (mostly blocked by the hill), and an occasional distant moo. It was a very peaceful place, and the host was gracious even though I drove a long time yesterday and arrived late in the day. I did not get to see the longhorns this time, they were out on the range, but it was a very nice place to stay all the same. Highly recommended.

This was the perfect stop on our way to Salt Lake City. The ranch is beautiful. We loved being able to set up our tent in a nice, wide open space. The bathrooms were well appointed, and the stars were incredible. This was such a great place to set up for the night, and if we ever made our road trip again we will be stopping here once more.

I absolutely adored my overnight here. First impressions were BEAUTIFUL. When I arrived I stopped at the farmhouse to READ further directions. “Drive down the hill and set up camp anywhere. Flush toilets are there and water over there.” I found the setting absolutely beautiful, plenty of space to camp, a few pieces of farm equipment, cows behind fences, a cute farm dog named “Potata”, a fabulous wedding venue with green grass, shade sails, an upper pond, a waterfall and a lower pond which functions during weddings. Evening brought a tremendous sunset over the distant hills and a nice breeze that whished away a very minor amount of mosquitoes. I had a nice conversation and site tour with Warren and said good night. As he mentioned, I heard coyotes briefly at dusk and then as I was leaving in the morning spotted one on my way out. I slept well and didn’t have any fears that other campers had reported, I felt perfectly safe. It’s a working farm, farm equipment and animals about, but plenty of room for all. I met another camping group, they had the same sentiments: beautiful, peaceful, quiet, they said one of their best Hipcamps in 4 years.

Directions given in the description were very clear. It was super easy to find our spot and set up. Bathrooms were nice and clean and even had a cute decor. Water was fresh and clean. An overall great spot for a stop-over.
