Holy COW!
Omg, yes they say they’re a great sunset venue, and they definitely are, but holy COW what a sunrise too!!! I absolutely loved my evening and early morning in the pasture. I felt safe and at total peace listening to the gentle lowing of the cows throughout the night. (I didn’t use their bathroom facilities, but they do have them up at the house if needed.)

Nebraska Magic
Camping in the pasture in the middle of the Nebraska countryside was magical. The cows, the sunset, and the guest appearance from the llama were all fabulous. Plenty of firewood and amenities to make our first Hipcamp experience a success. Thanks for the stay!

10/10 experience!
I had an amazing stay! A beautiful view of the sunset and sunrise over the field. The skies were clear and it was a new moon so I was able to see the Milky Way galaxy. Watching the cows trot over in the morning was a great way to start the day.

This site is beautiful and spacious, hosts communicate well and we would stay again! The cows are definitely a big part of the experience (they really wanted to hang out with us and also start mooing loudly very early) — be prepared for that and you’ll be glad you chose this site!

Perfect Place to Relax
I had a perfect night here as a stop on a road trip. Jennifer showed me to my campsite which was stocked with plenty of firewood. The property was beautiful, perfect view for fireflies and stars! The bathroom was spacious and just a short drive from the site, like she says in the listing. I highly recommend staying here!

Expansive views
Gorgeous wide open field with ponds and cattle. Great place to watch a sunset. We felt like pioneers sitting around the campfire at night pretending the cattle nearby were Buffalo and listening distant coyotes howls and bullfrogs from the pond. We woke up to curious calves poking around our campsite. They sniffed around and test nibbled our camping chairs to see if they were tasty :)
Notes: picnic tables and fire pit (with some large pieces of wood) were available. There’s at least 5 mile drive down well maintained gravel roads to get there.

10/10 will come back!
Jennifer and her husband have themselves a pretty special plot of land her. Even with it being December I was welcomed with a warm Sun and cool nights comforted by plenty of firewood. While you are quite literally living amongst the cattle, if you can get over the occasional cow pie and stare downs from the cattle passing by, it’s great. 100 acres to wander and explore, completely fenced in and a night sky so dark that there’s even an observatory 15 minutes north so you know the stars are good.
My only warning is if you bring a dog, mind the cow ponds, a muddy stinky puppy is a bit of a beast to sleep next to…
Can’t wait to come back with some company next time!

This is an amazing swath of wild land sandwiched between 2 immense corn fields, with ancient elm(?) trees lining a spring fed watercourse through hilly land, forested at the edges and a pond in the middle. Mid October, and we had a sweet night. The bathroom is at the owner's house, which is far enough down the road that we didn't feel inclined to drive back to use it, so be prepared to dig cat holes. Jennifer, our hostess, was prompt with responses and we felt well tended as we approached the Lazy AA. Our GPS brought us right to it.

Stars, quiet, easy.
Perfect spot to catch some shut eye under the stars before continuing on a motorcycle adventure. Nearly silent out in the pasture.
May not be the best spot in wet weather.

Waterside pasture under the stars
We had such a beautiful, restful night at Lazy AA Land & Cattle Camping. After hours of driving cross country, with our sleeping cat and dog, we knew they would not have slept a wink at a La Quinta. This was an absolutely perfect option for our family. The hosts were more than generous with their firewood offerings, which helped us cook a delicious meal under the stars. We were lulled to sleep by the songs of the wild animals and cattle we shared the land with. We can’t wait to visit again next year!

Jennifer's camp is beautiful, remote, and had everything we needed for our night there. Her son showed us around, we had a nice warm shower in the morning, and our dog loved running around in the grassy fields. We also loved hanging out with her dog Belle and saying hi to the goats, cows, and horses. Thank you for letting us stay on our way through!

The camping spot was very private and isolated. There was live cattle that came within 30 feet of us at one point which was amazing to see. The cows are completely harmless and left us alone the whole time. Fantastic Nebraska views. Would recommend.

We stayed for two nights and loved it. Very peaceful setting. Quiet at night with crickets, bullfrogs, lightening bugs and stars. We enjoyed spending some time in Hastings - a nice town.
