Centrally located yet quiet, secluded and flat two-acre meadow with 9 large grass pitches each mowed for privacy within natural wildflower borders. Clean and well looked after composting toilets, hot gas showers, fire pits, free scrap wood and a quiet woodland to immerse yourself in, next to the stream. Mushroom Meadow and the adjoining woodland are nestled at the bottom of our picturesque 50 acre family farm - with the stream at it's southerly border. Access is via a long farm track (about 750m) and is clearly signed once you arrive at our farm. The numbered pitches are thoughtfully spaced across the entire meadow. Perfect for those who like lots of space and for children who like to run free. An ideal West Cornwall location (10 min drive to both North and South coasts) - you can walk into our village of Praze and Beeble to visit the local pub, village shop or famous Philps Bakery for all your pasty needs!

It's one that captures the last of the sun's evening rays. It's s about 75 yards from the toilets, showers and woodland. It's the 3rd pitch on your left as you enter the meadow in your vehicle. Pitch 5 is on the riverside of the meadow, next to the communal fire pit and opposite the toilets although it's set back for privacy. Arguably the best pitch on the site, it's about 50 yards from the toilets, showers and woodland. It's the 5th pitch on your right as you enter the meadow in your vehicle. It's suitable for a family of up to 6 (max 4 adults).

However it's also the furthest from the toilets, showers and fire pit - about 300 yards. It's the 1st pitch on your right as you enter the meadow in your vehicle.

Camping Pitch 6

Pitch 6 lends itself to the last of the evening sun so perfect if you like catching those final rays! It's also the closest pitch to the toilets and showers - about 20-30 yards away. It's opposite the communal fire pit and also close to the entrance to the woods. It has a flat section for small tents but this pitch is on a slight slope. It's the 4th pitch on your left as you enter the meadow in your vehicle. It's suitable for a family of up to 5 (max 2 adults).

It's the 1st pitch on your left as you enter the meadow in your vehicle. It's suitable for a family of up to 6 (max 4 adults).

We loved the location, tucked down a farm track, in the shelter of a lovely wooded river. Great eco facilities, we love a composting loo and the outdoor showers were fabulous. Tim on site was really helpful and friendly. Gorgeous, generous pitches and so peaceful. The wash up area in the wood is a lovely spot but a little far from the site and in the less sunny months would get a bit waterlogged I'd imagine. It was no bother to us as we boiled water and washed up on our pitch, but might be an issue at a busier time perhaps. We loved our stay, good value, a great site with a fabulous ethos. Right up our street, would wholeheartedly recommend. The river walk is a lovely amenity and lots of places are easy to reach from it's central location.

We’ve just got back from a fantastic week at Mushroom meadow. The site was just perfect - spacious pitches in a gorgeous surrounding with never a queue for the loo and plenty of hot water for the showers! We found loads to do nearby on both the north and south coasts and really appreciated Clare’s helpful local knowledge and tips too. Thank you so much for a great week - super hosts and we particularly loved our evening fires with Tim. Highly recommended.

We had a really nice stay here. The site was quiet and peaceful and the host was very helpful. The little woodland at the end of the field is very nice for a stroll and we walked into the village which has an amazing bakery, shop, pub and fish and chip shop. Location is good for getting around Cornwall. Would definitely stay again.

Mushroom Meadow is a peaceful field well away from any roads. Surrounded by a wild meadow and trees each pitch is flat and mown short for a good pitch. It is a friendly place. Clare and her staff are very helpful. There are very clean compost loos and effective showers. It is a "get away from it all" sort of place. Don't miss the legendary Philps pasty shop in the village!

A quiet, rural, natural campsite

I had such a lovely stay at Mushroom Meadow campsite in late April. It’s so quiet, tucked away in the Cornish countryside, and feels super calm and private. The eco vibe is great, and everything’s quite simple. The individual hot outdoor showers were lovely and much needed after a hot day, and it was a nice novelty to be able to hear the birds whilst in the shower! Because the site is so rural, there is next to no light pollution at night and so the stargazing potential is huge. I could see so many more stars than I can ever see at home! And the campfire pit is a lovely addition to an evening, especially coming back to the site after a day out to find it crackling away as the sun set, lit by the staff on site for me. When I was looking for a site, I wanted somewhere quiet that I could feel safe, switch off and enjoy nature for the weekend; this place was perfect.
