My partner and I had a wonderful time camping here! Carl and his wife were so kind and welcoming. We loved the space and it was everything we were hoping for and more. The morning time was just beautiful at their campsites, and the night by the fire pit was equally as fun.

A quiet spot in the country
We needed a place to stay in the area and were lucky enough to find Carl's. The land was so peaceful and quiet, and very private.
Carl and Seang were great hosts and more importantly, wonderful people!

This place was great. I stayed at rv site one for a couple of nights. I have a 19' camper and it was fairly easy to get into place. Carl was a super friendly guy and the property was amazing. I'll definitely be going back.

Thanks for the campsite!
Camping at the Vineyard was easy and wonderful! We picked a secluded spot next to the river and enjoyed our privacy. We took use of the fire pit and made a trip out to Mille Lacs and Father Hennepin State Park to spend a few hours.

Private, Beautifully Minnesotan
The title is what stuck out!
As a minnesota native and woodland lover, being stuck in a metro is grinding and busy.
Finding Carl and his camp at the vineyard was 1 in a million. Polite and private wooded camping, sites well taken care of and most are big enough for a 10 person tent, screen tent and pricay tent.
The creek is such a peacfull beautiful place with tons of little fish and crawfish. Most sites have direct access to it. Cold, clear and a good way to spend a hot afternoon ankle to knee in cool water.
Carl, the host was amazing, pleasant and such a storied person to talk to. He's doing some nice things with his beautiful land and anyone looking for a campsite that's close enough to civilization to drive comfortably, but so private you'd feel like you were in the Northwoods this is it!
I'm not exactly an easy person to please, but I think I found where my family is going to camp for as many years as Hipcamp in the vines is around!
Thank you Carl, it was such a good, peacefull time and you were amazing!

Wild camping fun !
Just what was stated . Numbers are teens but on the markers they are single digit . Quite and secluded. Other campers left trash which is a shame . He and his family checked in on me and I never got to join them
Because I went and did a day trip train ride . Loved it but ya need massive amounts of
Bug spray !

Hidden gem
This was such a secluded quiet spot. Sites were close together but it still felt like you had privacy. It’s very grassy and with standing water in the creek, it was pretty buggy. But nothing that wasn’t solved with bug spray and citronella candles. I briefly met the owners and also corresponded via text and they seemed super nice! I’ll definitely go back!

Future camper advice…
I stayed at site #1. It was a nice private and tree covered spot to tent at but the only “complaint” I have and advise for future campers about the spot and all the other spots I walked through since I was the only camper there at the time is THE FLIES! The river was very low and barley moving which made it fly heaven. I’d advise anyone that wants to stay to bring fly traps!!! I kept my fire burning for 2 straight days which helped and covered my self in bug spray and tea tree oil plus lit patchouli Incense around my site a few times a day and that seemed to help since I wasn’t prepared for flies galore…. All in all site 1 is the spot to be! 😊

Expect to rough it as there is no running water or toilets. Also the road is not good. I made it with just a car, but I was going as slow as I could in places. However the campground is gorgeous and campsite #1 had total privacy. All I could hear was frogs croaking at night!

Good spot
I had a good experience (except for the mosquitos and ticks) but the spot was great my dog and I had a great time, relaxing and exploring! Sleep with the sound of birds singing and the water running on the creek was really nice! I’d recommend it! If you go on a busy weekend it won't be super private but if you go on a random Monday (like a did) it will be awesome!

I loved staying here. Carl was super friendly and accommodating to us. The sites were also close enough to each other but far enough away for privacy. Great views of the river from our site and it was warm enough to swim too.

Great place to stay!
This place was perfect for a weekend escape away from the cities. There are plenty of sites to choose from; some are pretty close together, but there’s a handful of nice secluded spots away from neighboring sites. We were not there long enough to sit and enjoy a glass of wine with Carl, but he is very friendly and welcoming and is a great host to chat with!
