Peaceful, gorgeous property
Absolutely loved my stay at Eagle Ridge. A beautiful, spacious, peaceful place with a gorgeous view of the water. Loved the fire pit, completely silent except for the wind through trees. Not even 15 minutes to everything you could ever need in town, and the hookup made it a snap to camp even late in the season. I felt spoiled, and I can't wait to go back!

Unique camping
This was my first booking on hipcamp, and we were not disappointed! Nice open grassy area, quiet and private and very unique! The barrel sauna was nice especially since it was a bit chilly the weekend we stayed. There's a tree swing, the girls loved! We had alot of fun exploring the place! Behind the camping spot is a hill, it seems it was some sort of bike camp back in the day, alot of the bike structures are weathered and broken, but it was still neat to see. There is a Zipline but my girls were too little to use it, it's pretty high up in the air and you have to hold on or you'll fall. The girls played on rope web, there is also what appears to be a work out station with chains, random objects to pick up and a climbing rope with a bell to try to touch. It was almost like a puzzle to figure out what everything was used for! There is a fire pit by the camp site and a second fire pit on top of the hill in the forest! The swimming area wasn't what I was hoping, there's no beach, steep stairs to a dock, there is a canoe, kayak, and a swimming float you can put out. There's a shallow swim spot good for kids, they enjoyed gathering the snails. We also did some fishing from the dock. At night the hillside twinkled with fire flies! I would definitely stay again as a close place to pull the camping and just camp!

This was a charming site with a great view. Sadly, we did not feel our Diesel pusher could safely access it, and ended up having to back out onto the road and find another spot to stay. Our host did tell us that she has had other diesel pushers in there, so perhaps we are just more cautious with ours? At any rate, Anyone in a smaller rig will love this spot. I am sad that we didn’t get to try the barrel sauna or have a glass of wine on the little dock.

Tranquil Layover on Way out West
Wow! Location Location Location. I’d you want Lake access, beautiful sunrises, kayak and canoeing while still being near creature comforts Kris’s place rocks. It’s a humble piece of property in a nice community and well spaced from neighbors. I pulled my van right in and situated it for beautiful lake views. It was the perfect layover for my trip from the UP to Custer SD. Oh and Accommodation, Accommodation, Accommodation. Kris was super responsive even though she wasn’t there. Thanks for a great visit.

Nice private spot for camping!
Cool spot and chill host! Lots of space for privacy. Several cool amenities like a zip line, hiking trail, double kayak, canoe, sauna, boat dock, great sunrise on the dock, and reasonably priced. I will definitely go back!
