A pristine horse farm in Westhampton, MA, spanning 15 lush acres of fields, woods, and a flowing stream, Starwind Farm offers a tranquil place to relax and unwind. Come watch the red tail hawks, walk by the stream and enjoy the natural beauty of sunsets and stars. We offer three camping sites; two near the three stall barn the other next to the five stall barn which includes an electrical hook up. There is access to an indoor bathroom with a sink and toilet and a sink in the tack room to get water. Starwind Farm is close to miles of hiking trails and Outlook Farm, a great local farm offering produce, provisions, sandwiches, baked goods and coffee. Northampton is a 12 minute drive with shopping and restaurants.

The Tayo site is the larger of the two arena sites. It is a flat, grassy space close to the three stall barn. There are no hook ups at this site. Guests will have the site to themselves, however, another group may be visible over the fence. Access to the River Walk is a two minute walk to the gate behind the sheds. Guests have access to the bathroom and sink in the tack room of the three stall barn.

The Metri site is the smaller of the two arena sites. It is a flat, grassy space close to the three stall barn. There are no hook ups at this site. Cynthia is an amazing human and great conversation! Her farm is an amazing property. Absolutely worth stepping foot on. I slept better here than I have in a very long time. Great views all around. Was in the area to visit a family member in Amherst. This was a welcome place to camp at the end of a few busy, long days. Didn't get to experience and enjoy the property as much as I'd hoped (didn't have enough time during my days there). However, I'll gladly book this Hipcamp again! Cynthia greeted me upon arrival, and showed me where the bathroom was (it's a nice walk through a very well kept horse barn). She even turned on the bathroom heater before I got there (my stay was during fall nights that got a bit cold). I car camped in an SUV and had no problem finding a level spot to park and set-up my sleeping area for the night. Lighting at night on the property felt safe and bright...but not TOO bright.

Had a great stay. Very level spot. Quiet location. Cynthia met us when we arrived and was very helpful. Will stay here again if in the area. Very close to Northampton and Smith College.

We enjoyed our stay in our pop-up camper at Cynthia's place. The land is really level, with easy pull through parking. The bathroom that's available was very clean and convenient. We had fun exploring the stream and watching the horses.

Starwind Farm was a beautiful place to park our camper for the evening! It was nice having access to a bathroom in the tack room, and it was super quiet and peaceful. Directions were easy to follow and the host was responsive. I'd happily recommend to future campers.

Nice clean spot .. plenty of stars .. friendly host .. tented on thick, flat turf, very comfortable for sleeping.

We tent camped at the Tayo Arena Site and it was great! Nice grassy field with close-by access to drinking water and our own bathroom. The farm was quiet and peaceful, wish we had stayed longer to explore the river area and the many trails nearby! Close to downtown Easthampton.

Beautiful setting. Working horse farm and riding arena. The camping area had wonderful soft grass cover! Cynthia was very accommodating and friendly.

Needed a spot that was convenient and inexpensive for one night so i could go to a show in Northampton. This place fit the bill. It was easy to get to, very quiet, and had nice bathroom access with a toilet and sink. Tent site was grassy, soft, and even.

This is a great place to camp! The horses were a pleasure to watch, the atmosphere was peaceful, plenty of room to easily park and Cynthia was a wonderful hostess. We very much enjoyed talking to her and meeting her horses and dog. She gave us some excellent tips on where to get farm fresh products. It was a pleasure to be a guest there and hopefully someday we will go back.

The property is beautiful and Cynthia so welcoming. Seeing the horses welcome the morning was such a bonus for a fellow horse lover. Highly recommend and we’ll return if ever in the area again.
