Our family much enjoyed our get away to Hickory treehouse and the Earthjoy Village grounds. Shelly was very communicative, we found the place with no problems. Grounds were marked. Had a great time meandering through the many trails (& creeks), will have to come back as we didn't get to them all, plus would love to visit the other treehouses. Trails were a great place for foraging, enjoyed munching on the wild onions this time of year. Looked like quite a few brambles too. Highly recommend the climbing course as this was the highlight of my trip (do try repelling Spiderman style!). Even our boys ages 5 and 7 had a good time with it. Kids also loved the slide, swing and hammocks attached to Hickory treehouse. We mostly used the composting toilet (no smell/ was clean), but your personal restroom not far for a shower. Chatting with Shelly and the climbing staff was a joy. These are people that care deeply for the earth and taking care of it and wanting to share their very special place with others. So glad they have.
If you're up for an adventure, the camping type and not afraid of finding stink bugs dwelling with you, this is the place for you.
