Full hookups in a beautiful area.
Easy access. Hookups worked properly. Campground is still being expanded so some spots ate not yet leveled. Very friendly and helpful owner.

Great for overnight!
Glad we could get in at the last minute on our way home. Utilities worked well, sites were kind of level, nothing we couldn’t fix with leveling blocks. Met some wild traveling musicians staying over the night as well so they were entertaining for certain.
There’s not really anything for kids to do, so don’t plan on that. Don’t recommend leaving the campground, we went for a walk and encountered two stray dogs that didn’t seem too nice right outside the gate, thankfully our dog ran them off. Also, one of the sites next to us had a dog that barked day and night, but no owner to be seen. We couldn’t sit outside at our site due to the constant yipping.
We didn’t get to meet the camp owner/host unfortunately, but he was very kind on the phone. It’s definitely right in nature, nothing fancy by any means but had full hook ups at a reasonable site. The camp has a lot of potential and we look forward to seeing the growth!

Very misrepresented from the pictures in the listing. I have no idea where those photos were taken but didn’t resemble the actual campground. The property was mostly storage space. Zero communication with the host. Most of the spots were filled with permanent residents so we just chose one. Sites incredibly unlevel. Hooks ups worked well. We walked our dog down to the lake but there were multiple dogs off leash and our dog isn’t great in those situations. We booked for 1 week but ended up leaving after the first night.

Tricky to find, but full hook-ups
Most importantly, do NOT follow Google Maps/Waze instructions once you turn on Green Rd. They will lead you down to the lake on an unpaved path that is nearly impossible to back out of. The property is shortly after turning onto Green Rd on the right-hand side. The host should include these directions in the confirmation email/text that is sent out by Hipcamp. We learned the hard way.
Once we arrived, we found about 6 sites, three of which were occupied by what seem to be longer term renters. They were helpful in helping us find the place and get situated. Sites 4 and 5 have a rather bright street light by them - helpful for set up but be aware if you need more darkness for sleep. The hook-ups are set way back on the site. We skipped the sewer connection due to the distance. Other than that, the gravel site was fairly level side-to-side and electric and water hook-ups were fine.

Late October Overnight Tent
I found a nice flat spot to tent beside my truck and went to sleep early with the failing light. Owls hooted as I slept. I woke to morning light in my tent and heard a rooster in the distance. The woods were full of deer in the cool, wet morning fog.

Ande's Place was very quiet. Good access to water, sewer and electric. The spot we picked was basically level. Convenient but private.

A quiet fulspot in the country.
A very quiet location. The sites are cut into the trees, providing good shade while still being wide enough to maneuver. The sites are still a work in progress, we were able to level and had no issues with settling (Even after a major downpour). Ande fropped by to check on us. Talked with him for a good while. We plan on staying here again if we pass through.

Peace and Solitude in the Woods
Our original goal was to find a full hookup campsite near the Land Between the Lakes over the 4th of July holiday weekend for our 20-ft travel trailer while avoiding the noise, congestion, and chaos of most public/private campgrounds. Paul's place was wonderful and exceeded our wildest expectations as we had the entire property to ourselves.
The site is located in the woods on an old homestead. Lake Barkley is not visible but is a mere 1/2 mile walk down a one lane road that turns into an unimproved gravel path before it reaches the shoreline. The back of the property still has old buildings and farm implements scattered about. There were perhaps two serviceable full hookup sites available, with additional, adjacent sites under final construction (the gravel was piled up awaiting further spreading and leveling). The utilities risers are all brand new and first-rate. When completed, there will be about six full hookup sites with the appearance of a small RV park, with parallel gravel pads of varying 25 to 50 ft separation. There was one porta-let on the grounds that we did not need, but it must have been the cleanest one I've ever seen as I'm not sure it had ever been used. We loved the peace, quiet, and solitude and were glad to be the sole occupants of the campground for our full stay. Once construction on the new sites is completed, it may be harder to achieve the solitude we enjoyed.
Paul was a splendid fellow and couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. He gave us a long list of recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the area, of which many we took full advantage.

Paul’s sites are located on the north end of a beautiful and busy recreational area. I was provided all I needed for my small camper. Keep in mind if you’re pulling a trailer or have a larger RV there is a slight incline upon entering, but didn’t present a problem for me. I liked the quiet and solitude and would visit again.
