Caming on top of the hill
I loved tent camping at this site! We stayed at site #3 on top of the hill! Sites are spread out but you can still see other sites. Still had enough privacy, I'm glad we were on top of the hill tho, best spot. Can view sunset and rise. Very quiet and peaceful. Bugs were not an issue at all. Greated by 4 roosters, they are very friendly and like to follow you and talk. We had a great time.

Nice spot with a nice fire pit and fire wood! We used the provided grill pad to cook on the fire. The host was very nice and responsive, good spot close to Lake Red Rock

Overnight Stay
We got in much later than expected but found our way in the dark just fine. Campsites are clearly labeled and easy to get to. Anna's directions were easy to follow even in the pitch black darkness. Awesome area, we only wish we could have stayed longer!

Nice secluded spot in the woods! The only downside is there isn't much air flow so it was a bit toasty. However, it was August so what do you expect, it's the hottest month of the year!

We really enjoyed our tent camping on Anna’s land. We were on site 3 at the top of the hill. The views were beautiful, directions were clear and easy to find.

Great host, nice site
We really enjoyed tent camping on Anna's land. It was excessively hot the weekend we went, and the site we picked did not have shade. Anna was kind enough to offer us to move to an empty spot that was shaded, and we gladly took the offer. The site we moved to was on a hill with trees behind us and a nice overlook of the land around us. The fire pit was in good shape, and utensils and a shovel were provided, as well as a pile of firewood. The little touches like that make it worth checking out.

Anna is a kind and helpful host. Campsites were well maintained and comfortable.
Pros:
*quiet, private sites.
*easy to access with 29' camper
*Beautiful sunsets.
*Good fishing in the ponds.
*Local bullfrogs will sing you to sleep at night
Could be better:
*difficult to access ponds for fishing.
*On-site composting toilets are under built for the number of people when all sites are occupied. When we stayed on a busy holiday weekend, the toilets quickly became unusable due to very unpleasant conditions and improper use by other campers.
*No trees = no shade

Great campsite with park nearby!
Camping at Anna’s place was awesome. The woods is great for shade and the toilet is right next to the campsite. A generous amount of firewood was provided. Do not buy at gas station buy from them it’s a better deal! So many mushrooms and collected some golden oyster mushrooms while I was there. It did rain on us but the trees cover the tent enough that our waterproof tent didn’t flood. It was a nice experience in the rain! There was many wood peckers and different kinds of birds. Many fireflies and the night sky was bright. The ponds are great for fishing and if you like privacy this is the campsite for you. The park of lake red rocks is a four minute drive. If you want to kayak go to Cordova Park. If you kayak to the right facing the lake about a mile away you will see rock formation. The park also has awesome trails and clean showers and bathrooms!

An Iowa gem
Anna’s land is amazing. It felt very remote. There was even another camper one of the nights and we hardly noticed where he was. Campsite 1 has an amazing sunset view and we even went down the road and used the state park beach which was nice as well.

Camping in the Woods
Staying at Anna's campsite was great. There was plenty of shade from the sun, but we still got a nice breeze through the campsite. This is a very wooded campsite, so bring bug spray! We did, and the bugs left us alone. Only saw one tick the whole time. Campsite was clean and had a table and fire pit. The table was super convenient, because we forgot ours. Car can pull up into the campsite, which was great, because we had kids who didn't want to do a lot of walking.
In the evening, definitely walk up the hill leading into the campsite and watch the sunset! Also, a good field for stargazing at night too.
There were some trails leading around the land, but if you want to do even more hiking, Lake Red Rock is only 5-10 minutes away, and offers lots of great outdoor activities. But staying at Anna's means you can enjoy Lake Red Rock without having to share a campground with noisy neighbors and too many people.
All in all, it was easy to find and everything was very convenient. I would recommend to anyone that wants a quiet weekend away.

Best place to watch the sunset
Tri-pond is a great place if you’re looking to relax and to take in all of what nature has to offer. Beautiful view of the sunset and the best place to enjoy the outdoors . Wish we had brought our fishing poles as the ponds looked like a perfect fishing spot. Anna, the camp host, is very generous and accommodated all of our needs. Would definitely recommend to others.

Camping without humans!
My wife and I love camping, so we splurged on a tiny 9’ Meerkat trailer for a bit more comfort (an actual bed) and convenience (think late night trips to the bathroom) as we age out of tent camping (turning 70 in December). But we were so disappointed with what “camping” has become in the last few years - gigantic white metal boxes all crammed into a virtual parking lot. And nobody ever steps away from their tv’s and easy chairs to actually visit the great outdoors first hand!
That’s where Hipcampers and Anna’s Land come in, with only 4 camping spaces and plenty of room to get away from all those people thinking they’re getting away from it all. We stayed in site #3 for two nights. It sits high atop a grassy hill with a view that goes on for miles. Our Meerkat is sort of self-contained so we had the basics for camping, with a water supply, a porta potty, and a solar panel to keep the Kat’s battery topped off for charging cell phones (I’m an avid news skimmer, and both my wife and I enjoy taking photos).
Site #3 has a nice picnic table where we could use our single burner stove for cooking, heating coffee water and eating. There was also a bit of woods in the back where it was shady and cool for surviving the two 90+ degree days we spent there.
Finally, getting away from it all to remember what getting away is all about! Anna added to our great experience by being quickly responsive to our questions by texts or messaging in the Hipcampers app.

Beautiful, Private, Clean Campsite
My new favorite spot for a weekend getaway! The hilltop is beautiful and there is even a view of the lake. The ponds on the property are a great bonus too with LOTS of fish (I caught bass, bluegill and crappie). It was also really nice that there is a tripod and table at each campsite for cooking. I would 10/10 recommend this spot to anyone!

Quiet, picturesque camping
Beautiful spot! I camped in the lower site overlooking the pond. Had a gorgeous evening by the fire. It's buggy on a summer evening, but a campfire will help that a lot. Perfect sunset views, super peaceful. Each campsite is outfitted so nicely, too--you've got a picnic table, a great fire pit with cooking tripod, and solar powered lanterns. Even if all four sites were full, I think this spot would still feel relatively private and quiet.
Unfortunately, the weather got rough later in the evening. A wind storm blew in (no rain, luckily) and I had a sleepless night! Not the fault of the hosts at all. Just know that this site is probably a little more exposed to the elements than highest site, which is partially sheltered by trees. Overall, glad I camped here, and would highly recommend!
