Dogs welcome!
We loved the peacefulness! We stayed in the apartment and really appreciated the ac since it was 103 outside. There is a microwave, coffee maker and small refrigerator in the kitchen area. Albertsons is just down the road. We loved that our dogs were welcome. Nice grassy yard for the dogs. Everything was very clean! We were just passing through so only stayed overnight. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice spot to park our Van and enjoy the soft grass...while being close to the horses. My 9 year old had a great riding lesson and enjoyed visiting the horses in the mornings. Risa and her staff were all very friendly and non obtrusive. Great location for exploring Boise and nice to return to the quiet at the end of our long days.

What a Gem
The Outlaw Hideout was an amazing stay. We were there for 2 nights after 10 nights tent camping and we were all too happy to have the four walls and ceiling. The beds were super comfy and the space was VERY well kept. We went to the Roaring Springs water park on our day there and it was a 8 minute ride. Will definitely stay again the next time passing through the area.

Area was perfect for us. Uses it as a landing pad while taking son to college. Appreciated the power as AC was essential in 100 plus degree weather. Site is perfectly level so easy set-up. Water on site so can put some in holding tank. Quite. Impressed how clean the barn stalls were. Riza worked with us as had illness in family. Was very kind during a stressful time. Will use again when stopping in Boise area!

safe, friendly, professional!
This was a great spot to pause for a few days as base camp with a short 15-25 min drive to down town Boise. Risa was also very responsive and helpful even when she was on vacation (thank you). It was a quiet farm location and our little toddler loved looking at the horses. Parking was easy and wide open, and there was a great park with a splash pad just a few blocks down the road (still wanted to drive there though). Thank you!

Urban Slice of Heaven
Laughing Horse Ranch is an urban gem. I stayed in my RV for two weeks while on a work assignment in Boise/Meridian/Nampa. It’s secluded enough that you wouldn’t know you’re minutes away from downtown Boise but close enough to meet my needs for work.
It was a little slice of heaven to wake up to the horses neighing and open my blinds to see them right there. There were only a few other travelers while I was there. I felt like I had plenty of space, peace, and quiet.
Risa was easy to communicate with and checked in on me via the app to see if I needed anything.
I’ll be staying again for another week in August. It was great!

Great pit stop!
Great spot for someone looking for a quick stop on their way through. We were traveling in July and gladly paid the small fee to have electricity for our AC in the RV. Was fun to see the horses too!

Risa was wonderfully flexible and responded to communication quickly. The ranch was clean and being close to the horses was wonderful. I would definitely recommend staying at the Laughing Horse Ranch!

Risa was responsive to our queations. We felt very safe and without worry when we left our trailer at her property to explore the city. The site was easy to find with enough room to turn around our rig. Would absolutely recommend.

Busy horse ranch
(We were given a full refund within 24 hours) Although the description says there are grassy spots for tents, the spot was a 5-foot by 8-foot patch of dirt between a small trailer and a lawn that I was told was on a irrigation schedule that the owner didn’t know. The patch was at the entrance to the ranch junkyard, which the host noted wasn’t “super glamorous but it is a good tent sight.” The only spot my tent would have fit was in the junkyard so we didn’t stay. The host seemed friendly (she wasn’t at the ranch so we communicated by text only) and her texts were very prompt.

Gravel, horses, and good peeps.
We were just passing through with our rv. While the actual parking spot was a gravel lot, between 2 other vehicles, the highlight was getting my 8 year-old a horseback ridding lesson the next day. The employees at the ranch were very nice and made our stay worth the $. It was also nice they were dog-tolerant.

The host Risa was very nice and helpful. Her property is better geared for RVs but not tents like we did. There was no real planned place for a tent. Risa did show us a couple of options. We chose a gravel area next to the grass. The sprinklers came on during the night and woke us up. And got the tent very wet. She did run an extension cord so we could make coffee.

We stopped by just for one night. It's so crazy how you can drive from the city and then park and feel like you are away from it all. It was nice to be able to see all the animals. Ground was pretty flat and the views were beautiful. Walking around we got to meet all the friendly doggies.

We were simply stopping for the night. I needed to know I would be able to park and do it quickly so I can rest for another day's drive the next day. This place is big and it was clear as to where to park my rig, even though I had arrived late. I had "communicated electronically" via the Hipcamp site and received acknowledgment and a reply in a timely manner. prompt replies are important. I particularly enjoyed the smell of fresh hay. I no longer own horses but this was a pleasant stop for me. Thank you.

Sleeping next to horses
While it was a very much a working site with horses, we were not bothered at all. The location was great to get around to Boise and nature. At night the site was quiet and safe. We recommend and are grateful for the accommodation!
