We moved from the big city of Austin TX to middle-of-nowhere ID without a clue where we would live, what we would do for work, and no friends or family nearby. All we knew is that someday we wanted to own land, start a homestead, raise our family, and grow our own food! Then we found out we were pregnant! So the hunt began for a piece of land to call our own. We found this beautiful little lot and thought 10 acres sounded just right. The neighbors were quiet and friendly, it was in the perfect area to do a lot of outdoor recreation, and we felt right at home with the small-town vibe. It had all we needed - groceries, a post office, and each other. When we tell people where we came from, they always ask, "How did you find this place?!" We kind of just closed our eyes and pointed at the map. Ok, maybe it was a bit more calculated than that, but honestly, not by much. We really did just pick a place we thought would be good for what we wanted to do, read the Wiki page on the town and surrounding areas, and decided it was exactly what we were looking for. So we moved, site unseen. We searched for land for almost two months while camping all around the area, and finally landed on this one. We are very proud of this 10 acres and have big plans for it, but it's been sitting for about a year now as we've been behind schedule on making the improvements we want to make. It would be awesome if it could be used and loved until we are able to continue building our dream. That's where you come in! Thank you for your interest and welcome to the Burnett Homestead!
Learn more about this land:
This is bare land with no hookups, but it is 10 beautiful acres of green grass with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Wildlife loves to pass through and bed down in our pasture. It is a very quiet neighborhood. We have exciting development plans coming soon, but are really looking forward to hosting campers in the meantime! There is only a dirt road up the hill to a more level camping area, so 4x4 or AWD will be recommended to ascend the driveway. We had it made with an extra wide switchback to allow trailers to turn easily. We welcome tent, RV, and van campers alike! Our property is only MINUTES away from hunting, fishing, and hiking. There are grocery stores and gas stations nearby as well. Bring your pets, bring your toys, and get ready to have fun! Take some time to explore our cute little town as you drive through. Welcome to rural Idaho!
