This site is my best work ever! Elevation is 2800ft, 220 degree view of 4 states. Close to everything the the north ga mountains have to offer. 5 minutes to Vogel State Park, 15 min to brasstown bald and Helton creek falls, 25 minutes to Helen. You will not be disappointed. This is one site only. Tents and car camping are welcomed. Great cell service. Hiking trails everywhere. Property borders USFS. Please be aware of vehicle and trailer requirements. 4wd or Awd is preferred. Please leave campsite exactly the way you found it, if you have to move picnic table or campsite log seating during your stay, that's fine.....but put it back exactly how you found it. Thanks

Instructions are easy, plenty of fire wood (though it got wet the night before), decent views. A bit pricey for a Hipcamp in my opinion, I think at a $60 price point there should be some flat wooden platforms for tents.

The view was so wonderful! Sunrise was gorgeous there. If you just want to wake up around tall trees and mountains, you’ll be very happy with Matthews land. It got pretty damn windy up there for us the first night. Just be mindful of the weather as you would of any camping trip.
Matthew met us half way up the more challenging part of the mountain. But we were able to get up without a tow in our Toyota Corolla. Just needed to maintain speed on the last leg up.
He was a wonderful host. Highly recommend this spot if you wanna be near trails and falls as well.

Awesome campground! Beautiful scenery. Clean, private, and perfect area for bonfires, parking, setting up. The ample firewood was great! Would highly recommend taking a vehicle that is strong enough to go up steep hills. 4x4 helps right before arriving to the campsite because of steep gravel drive up. Great communication by Matthew as well!

Great spot!
Great spot, easy to find and the road up isn’t too bad at all, any AWD should make it fine. Amazing views and very private. Very responsive and nice owner. Dollar general and gas station about 15 mins away.

The space to camp is perfect. There is wood provided, although I would bring extra seasoned wood in case the provided wood is not. We especially enjoyed the experience in our rooftop tent. Leveling out was not hard using a traction board. The views in the winter are breathtaking! If you’re in to primitive style or rooftop tent camping, this is the place for you. We’re looking forward to a spring trip!

Unparalleled Views
The views from the site are incredible. You feel like you are sitting on top of the mountain with over 180 degree views. The road leading up to the site is narrow and winding. The gravel driveway is even steeper. We have a converted Ford Transit van and made it up no problem. The road is challenging but worth the risk for the views. The campsite has a huge fire ring made of large rocks and a picnic table. Matthew met us there and dropped off a load of firewood. Once the sun set the mountains to the left were dotted with lights and to the right…nothing. I am assuming to the left is the National forest. It was just interesting seeing the difference. It is so private and quiet, the only noise we heard was the occasional plane. We sat up for hours star gazing. Without light pollution, the stars were spectacular. It was windy but we slept fine in the van. Remember there are no amenities. No water , no electric. Truly just a cleared space with Mountain View’s. The sunrise was gorgeous. We can’t wait to come back in the fall for the colors. Such a gem!

Pretty fantastic! We look forward to returning in warmer weather. The fire pit was amazing and held a fire big enough to keep us warm and it was deep enough so that the embers didn’t blow away in the wind.

Best view and host ever!!!
Best view ever of all of the surrounding mountains! Sunrise is amazing and it's very quiet all day. It was great enjoying dinner around the campfire with a full moon. Also great for solar, cell service, and starlink rv. Also the host is awesome! He made sure we weren't blown off the mountain by tropical storm Nicole. He allowed us to move at the end of our stay to nearby land he also owned for our safety. Thx so much! Will definitely be back!

Hidden Gem
Beautiful campsite. Absolutely stunning views. Lots of peace and quiet. The perfect getaway spot. Matthew is also a very gracious host. Just be warned though, the road leading up to the campsite is rather steep and gravel is loose at the moment. Still would recommend, 10/10.
