We had such a lovely stay at The Darling Woods of May. The location was a short drive to the park and ride in which we travelled into York. The campsite was spacious and peaceful. With such limited amount of pitches it felt safe for the kids. The facilities were clean. We managed to pick up milk from a local garage that was a couple of miles down the road. Fantastic stay, would visit again and would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay! Nice site with good facilities 😊 It was a great base for us to explore York and the aviation museum before moving onto the VW Festival near Leeds. Loved the archway at the entrance at night and the kids l really liked the alpacas 😊 Sophie was a great host, super friendly with superb comms 🙏🏻

Spacious wild grass camping pitch
We absolutely loved our stay at Darling Woods of May! The plots were so nicely spaced out, and the plots are huge! Our spot overlooked the alpaca paddock which was perfect, and the site had a lovely woodland walk. We can't wait to book to stay again!

Lovely campsite, nice and quite easy to find and the hosts were great and friendly. Would highly recommend if you love animals as they have alpacas on site.

Spacious wild grass camping pitch
This site was SO LOVELY. Really pretty and spacious, the allocated spaces had plenty of room and were nicely set apart. Stars were clear at night and when sunny there were so many nice places to sit/sunbathe! The alpacas were a lovely addition and really brought the whole place to life, the hosts are genuinely so kind and helpful, really friendly. My personal favourite part was probably the adult swing! Toilets and showers were very accessible from everywhere and were really well kept. Overall was an amazing stay, would definitely go back! Really pretty area, not just one big field or woodland but varied and gorgeous. Hosts take such good care of the place and the animals and make everything easy. Would highly recommend xx
