Shepherd's hut · Sleeps 2With glorious views of the Quantock Hills our luxury Shepherd’s Hut provides comfort and relaxation. This pretty and stylish accommodation is well equipped for couples in mind and has a Scandinavian wood fired hot tub for you to lie back, relax and enjoy the dark starry sky.
Self contained it has it's own private shower, wash basin and toilet. A log burner keeps it nice and cozy and there is an electric radiator for extra toastiness. The kitchenette area includes a sink, large fridge, kettle, toaster and a 2 ring electric induction hob. An oak table and bench seating area converts into your extra comfy pull down double bed.
Outside you can sit and enjoy the stunning views, light a fire in the fire pit and cook on the fire pit BBQ. The wood fired hot tub is for your exclusive use and is the perfect excuse for some star gazing.
A net of logs will be provided for use in the log burner and fire pit. Logs will need to be purchased for the hot tub. We can offer a preheating service (chargeable) for your day of arrival if desired.
Guests will also have access to our shared cabin which further houses a larger kitchen sink, fridge, small freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and a separate toilet and drying area.
Free Wifi and USB charging. Free parking on site and free use of the Electric Vehicle charger (EV SLOW charge).
We are dog friendly and have a beautiful grass paddock for your pooch to run around in.
A network of paths is on our doorstep for keen walkers and cyclists wishing to explore. A 5 minute drive is the picturesque marina harbour of Watchet and along the coast to the sandy beach of Blue Anchor. Nearby is the medieval village of Dunster with it's castle, Kilve beach for fossil hunting, Porlock Wier and Lynton and Lynmouth's Cliff Railway. Minehead is 20 minutes by car, Taunton and Bridgewater are a 30 minute drive, Exeter an hours drive.
For those wishing to travel by bus we conveniently have the Taunton – Minehead number 28 bus stop at the end of our lane.
England’s longest heritage railway, The West Somerset Railway, travels between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead and passes 300 meters from Steam and Stars. From March to October you can enjoy the views and sounds of the steam train chugging past! A highlight of any visit!
