This is the most amazing site we have been to. Our kids loved being amongst the trees and making dens. We really didn't even mind having electric hook up. So close to the bike tracks, and the member of staff we met was lovely- thanks for having us

Sleeping under the tree’s
Lovely campsite under the tree’s. No toilets or showers but this is clearly stated in the description and was fine for us for one night. We’re very accommodating when we unfortunately broke down 10 minutes from the campsite and ended up arriving late. Would definitely come here again!

We specifically went to Tackeroo for perfect access to the MTB trails and some peace and quiet. Peace and quiet was in spades, only 4 other users on site who obviously wanted the same as us. Spotlessly clean, fresh water running and a disposal point for our loo. It was all we needed, which is why we went there. One of my favourite trails in Cannock starts just after the campsite boundary, so we had a great days riding over to and around Birches Valley. I've been there before, but first time I've taken the whole family and they loved it too.

Me and my friend brought our children to camp here. It was a fantastic experience being in the thick of the trees.. the wardens were so friendly and made me feel secure considering we were too women alone with children however everyone was so friendly that we came across. The camp feels Like you are in the middle of nowhere but actually the town and local amenities are only 4 minutes drive away. Cannock chase forest has so much to offer, the bike tracks are amazing, hiking and walking or running routes well marked. The gruffalow trail for the kids is brilliant. There is a go ape, bike hire and a massive play area. I highly recommend staying here. Beautiful location.

There's no better place to explore Cannock Chase from than Tackeroo. Smack on the middle of all the fun and the red rout cycle track goes straight through it. You can be the first on the rout down to the visitors centre while it's still quiet. The surroundings are fantastic and beautiful, and I like the fact there are no services other than a water pipe and toilet flush. Sitting among the trees in the evening and chilling out after a busy days days biking is absolute bliss.

Peaceful, quiet and a brilliant location. No facilities but that is exactly what I wanted, blast round the mountain bike route and then relax with a glass of something in the super tranquil settings. Do it!

It was a peaceful one night stay.I have been previously, and enjoyed the area.Easy access to some interesting bike trails and enough space for everyone. There a few fresh water points and a place to clean your portaloo.I would suggest a hose for this rather than a push tap arrangement. The vast canopy of trees make for a lovely experience , especially for kids .I do love this place, and the warden Kevin is a friendly chap.I would just say ,it's a bit of a shame that the prices have been pushed up a bit, especially as no toilets . Despite this ,this site delivers in buckets .

Came for one night before heading to the peak district, we did the treetop challenge at birches valley which took around 40 mins to walk, campsite was lovely and clean, could literally set up camp anywhere, lots of water and elsan points all equipped with hand sanitizer... Overall excellent stay, only thing i think could make it better is some signage to go ape/birches valley

Stay was amazing location of campsite was too, we enjoyed our stay until the Friday when the tent flooded, when we phoned to ask for help or a pump to take out the water the reply was we don't have one, what do you want us to do. So we packed up a day earlier than we should and my partner packed it away on his own as I'm disabled and the whole time we were packing not one staff member came to see if we were OK or to apologise, we were planning on staying beyond Saturday but not in those conditions. We are however prepared to stay again so long as staff are a little more helpful when a problem arises.

We met our friends there so we're easily able to park up besides each other in our campers and even had a picnic bench to ourselves. The surroundings are stunning and you are at the start of lots of trails and walks to countryside centres. We ordered a takeaway which was delivered at the gate too. Basic facilities, but on site wardens added reassurance and the bins etc which were on site were clean. Would return!

We had an enjoyable few days at the campsite. Really friendly and helpful Rangers, great biking, good trails, useful information in the welcome emails. The only improvement we would like is a toilet block. We will certainly return.
