Southwood park estate is a beautifully manicured and peaceful destination for those who want to get back to nature and still have all of the home comforts that they are used to. We are at the foot of the South Downs, and only 8 minutes drive from Chichester and the Good Wood Estate We are family and pet friendly site. All bookings come with cooked breakfasts for each guest per day as well as a large log / lighters pack for each day!

Lovely Lilac (sleeps 4)
We enjoyed our stay at The camp surroundings are well maintained, what I noticed is that no annoying flies buzzing around when sitting out and while cooking!. The host and people on site are very helpful and friendly. One night we needed help with lighting a camp fire and they were so quick to respond. The facilities in the camp are a bonus, if the weather is nice you won't get bored. Ladies toilets were okay my kids complained about the men's!!

Loved the camp vibe and the people are very welcoming and friendly. The campsite is very clean and things are there for everyone likeness to enjoy. The staff is very sweet to help. You just have to ask. Make sure to get your cooking equipments like if you want to cook near your tent. There is stove and fireplace. You can also use the open kitchen BBQ to cook if you want. Get yourself a camp chair if you want to sit comfortably outside next to the fireplace near your tent and an outdoor lamp Each camp is separated so you have ample privacy The camp area is beautifully designed and decorated which looks great during daytime. Breakfast is scrumptious and you can have food and drinks throughout the day in the restaurant. The campsite hosts are super nice and loves to take good care of their guests

Lovely tent not the best experience

We enjoyed our stay at the site, however the arrival experience and cleanliness of some sections could do with improvement. Upon arrival we were just pointed in the direction of the tent and left to get on with it, no showing us where the kitchen, games room, fridge or anything else was. The picnic table and firepit/bbq outside of our tent was covered in bird droppings and detritus from the trees. No attempt to clean it off before we'd arrived. The firepit was also full of very old water so we didn't use it. Kitchen area was also covered in bird droppings causing worries about contamination when washing up etc. Not the best arrival experience and the site has changed somewhat from when the pictures were taken.

Really enjoyable stay. Best kid friendly camping I’ve been on and lots of great facilities. Would highly recommend. Great things to do nearby.

This was a great site with everything you need- even WiFi and a charging pack for phones. There was a real family atmosphere in the camp with lots to keep children entertained (board games, pool table, badminton, mini football goals). Toilets and showers were nicely maintained- the site is clearly quite new so it all felt very fresh. The beds were comfy enough (even the futons) and the tent felt very spacious with drawers and hangers for clothes. There was a communal fridge/freezer with each tent allocated a small section. One thing to point out is there is a communal BBQ which you have to pay a charge of £10 to use. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this site to anyone, especially those with children. The site felt very safe- we were given a code to enter the site whenever we wanted and there was a lock for the tent too.
