This is a great site. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend it to friends is because of the busy, noisy road. However, it doesn’t seem to bother a lot of people. Apart from that, it’s lovely.

The campsite is very interesting and pretty with its glades and hollows. Unfortunately, the facilities weren't great; toilets and showers were dirty and only one of each actually worked when we were there. There is quite a lot of traffic noise from the A road outside.

Camping among the trees provided a real sense of privacy and being in nature which we loved. We also enjoyed having the fire pits! Our pitch was close to a nearby road so you could hear a few cars but it wasn’t a problem. The facilities were good- especially the showers which were really cool!

Beautiful woodland and very unspoilt. Quite noisy at night time with planes flying over and cars moving around on a site next door. Toilets and showers a little unloved. Campfire facilities excellent and safe - it’s a shame there were no recycling facilities as this site has the potential to be a wonderful sustainable and eco friendly retreat. The many signs telling you what you couldn’t do, repeated around the site were unnecessary this information was made very clear in the welcome email! Not sure why wristbands were needed either! The sites were well looked after and the woodland was clearly cared for and full of wildlife.

Great experience, lovely campsite. Remember to bring a mattress (airbed etc) for the bunks only. Carry mats are provided and the bunks a v hard 😀

Fantastic camp in our brand new rent! Secluded, peaceful and the feeling of wild camping! We shall definitely return and try out another pitch. Perfect getaway and close to the Norfolk coast for days out and be back in time for cooking dinner and chilling by the fire. Great time! Our dog loved it too!

We had a great time camping at Dreamy Hollow. The site is in a lovely woodland setting, with nice secluded pitches. John was very helpful and showed us around when we arrived. We stayed on Abi's pitch which was very spacious. The pitches do vary in size quite a lot so make sure to check the size on the website before booking. The toilets were very clean and we never had to queue. There's plenty to do in the local area, we enjoyed rock-pooling at Old Hunstanton beach and the deer safari at Snettisham Park. There's also a nice pub (The Railway Inn) up the road in Docking. Would highly recommend.

I camped alone Joe's pitch for 2 Nights. It is quiet and peaceful. Ideal for a relaxing weekend with my fearful dog. I loved hearing the wildlife in the evenings and early mornings. (thanks to John who hearded my dog when she escaped from the car on my arrival). The pitch is a fair size with plenty of room.
There are 3 beaches a short drive away with Snettisham and Heacham being dog friendly.
I loved it so much I have booked another 4 nights at the same pitch.

My Husband and I spent two nights at the site, we were very aware that it was like wild camping site which is why we choose it . It more than met our expectations and even exceeded them. If you are on the lookout for peace and quiet and somewhere you can have your own scheduled pitch without being over looked or crowded then this is for you.The location is ideal for all of the main attractions within Norfolk. The warden was very helpful and a informative. The amenities were ideal, hot showers, toilets and somewhere to wash your dishes, which is all you need.we will definitely be looking to rebook and have already recommended it to family.

A great elevated pitch, shady, with trees to attach a tarp etc. to if needed (we used a ground tent). It's pretty near the toilets/showers - we found this very convenient, and there was no smell and minimal noise from the facilities.

We loved our stay here, camping in the middle of the woods. This small site is gorgeous with lovely woodland, dips and hills. Our family took up three pitches (Kevin's Corner, Secret Shade and Jimmy's) - all adjacent to one another. Each of our pitches was very spacious and we all had a campfire which was especially lovely to use as we had picked a really cold May half term week in Norfolk! There was some road noise and if (when) we come again, I think we would choose a pitch further away from the road, especially as we now understand and know the layout of the site. Facilities are very basic but toilets were generally clean and there were 2 showers. There wasn't always hot water and we washed up at our tent so we probably used more gas than usual. Luckily, whenever I needed a shower, the water was hot! There are some odd instruction notices and poems around which we didn't feel were necessary as the site was pretty relaxed. Cars have to be left in the carpark making the site really safe for children to run around and explore but it does mean that it may take longer pitching up and packing up as everything has to be wheelbarrowed to your car. This site is not everyone's cup of tea but it's perfect if you like to be surrounded by nature, underneath the stars or sitting around a campfire in the evening.

This is an amazing campsite, really magical and secluded spots are great for multiple days.
Each pitch has a fire cage and you are provided with one bin of wood on arrival which is really nice for warmth, entertainment and cooking - for some reason I could not get a response from the host though so couldn't buy more wood even though we were there for 3 nights, had to drive to fakenham to buy wood at high prices at B&Q. Seemed like messages were just ignored as it was the same number Nigel contacted me in the first place, quite disapointing.
I would still recommend the site because its really beautiful but just buy a bin of logs for each night you're there on arrival!

We had a really lovely stay at Dreamy Hollow. Our pitch was large and well sheltered by beautiful trees and shrubberies. Peacocks shelter in the trees above. A particular highlight was when a muster of peacocks wandered through camp (much to the interest of our dog!).
Wash facilities were pretty basic. Despite only having three toilets for the entire site, there was rarely a queue of more than one person.

This is one of the most peaceful campsites I have every visited.
Our stay could not be faulted.
Nigel is a friendly person and very approachable.
Your stay here will be collectly self sufficient. So bring your cooking equipment and food. Although there is both an Indian and chineese takeaways nearby via justeat.

The best campsite I’ve ever been to - will definitely be back! An oasis of calm surrounded by trees and birds. Lovely historical and nature plaques around the site and fire pit at every pitch was a great addition! Just perfect!

Loved staying on Taffy’s pitch, which was very private and spacious. The campsite facilities kept to the minimum, liked that there’s no electricity as we wanted an experience as close to wild camping as possible. They have a fire basket on each pitch and sell firewood. Would definitely come back again.

This campsite was a wonderful location and I enjoyed the site itself with the history and many blackberry bushes to pick pudding. The pitch has fabulous large pitches for big groups, there is only 2 showers which when it’s busy (over a weekend) can have a cue and the toilets for he same. The showers themselves look wonderful from the outside but make sure you have a bag for your stuff as there is very little space to put anything.
We have a lovely time as it was central to everything we visited and our pitch (Taffy’s) was hidden off the main paths and had a great view. The road is very close so if you’re a light sleeper choose a pitch at the back!

Not a bad campsite, WW1 training trenches are historically interesting and if you like woodland pitches and a back to basics experience then it has a lot going for it. What isnt mentioned is the busy road running along the front of the site. We were given Nellys pitch which bore little resemblance to the pictures on the website. It's an elevated grassless mound right at the front of the site from which you can view (and hear) the rush hour traffic going past. Tranquil it ain't. In fairness, the warden on the site was fantastic and when we complained she moved us to a much quieter and very pretty pitch at the back of the site so, great customer service and thanks. Toilets average, not very clean, two sinks for washing plates, nowhere to charge phone, no fridge, no car access to most pitches but wardens happy to help shift gear to the pitch in golf buggies. Complimentary logs were a nice touch. Overall, the site is getting there and I hope they pull it off, Not much they can do about the road but, really, Nellys pitch shouldn't be a pitch, it should be a sound barrier and please dont over egg the "haven of tranquility and serenity" line in your marketing spiel when there are 30 ton lorries racing past the entrance. Dont want to overdo the negatives when the site has a lot going for it, in the end we had a nice time and cant overstate the professionalism and helpfulness of the wardens but the road is a major negative.

An absolutely dreamy time had by all at Dreamy Hollow campsite
The campsite was beautiful and peaceful, we absolutely loved being surrounded by trees and nature and feeling at times we had the whole place to ourselves!
The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful, any queries sent in their absence were responded to very quickly.
The amenities were great, lovely hot showers, very clean toilets and easy access to drinking water to fill our water butts
We were on one of the camps further from the car park so CJ loaded our heavy items up on the cart and drove it around for us , thank you CJ !
Would thoroughly recommend this idyllic campsite and fully intend to return.

Taffy's Pitch
It's a lovely site, near the beautiful Norfolk coast and our pitch felt really private with great views however....
All the rules pinned up around the place felt quite oppressive being honest-this took away from the 'get away from it all experience.
It seems strange to need to put up non-payment rules-do people really not pay??
We also felt the road noise was disturbing and with the shouting of children too it seems a bit strange to not allow ANY music. I've stayed in plenty of sites who ask for quiet but there was something about this one which felt a bit restrictive and bossy/moralistic...
If these aspects were relaxed and people trusted I think I would have enjoyed it more-as watching wildlife and being right in a lovely deciduous wood with winding paths throughout was otherwise really lovely.

Shower was very funky(cool) but not cared for too much.Abis pitch was large and perfect for a group of 9 and space for kids to play football. Staff not very helpful, but once we were settled I would recomend for large groups.

Not as private as we had hoped. Inadequate toilet/shower facilities which were also not very clean. Hard and lumpy dusty/muddy pitch damaged our groundsheet and made tent filthy, no grass. Disappointed we could hear so much traffic from the road, had expected a more rural setting. Shame the trenches were closed.

We have stayed at Dreamy Hollow many times and always love the quirky woodland pitches and the privacy. Another great stay - our second time on Nigel's Nook pitch - which was fantastic for our large tent with lots of space for sitting around the campfire.

A secluded campsite in mature secondary woodland, mainly oak and silver birch. Lots of hollows and sandbanks so each of the various sized pitches are private. Small tracks link them to the basic toilets and two showers. Hot water not very hot. The entrance gate is a fiddle with a difficult to use padlock. Although a busy-ish minor road runs by the site it does feel private and peaceful. The bird song drowns out the road noise (we were there in late June). The dawn chorus is a real treat! Fire pits included as is your first bag of wood. The local Spar is a mile up the road in Docking. Great cycling and walking in the area. I would go back here.

This was my kind of site - spacious, leafy, near good cycle routes and especially quiet during the week. Any road sounds are masked by the breeze in the trees. The welcome was excellent and much friendlier than the slightly stern booking email suggested.
